I wasn't expecting much from it at the beginning, but it turned out to be great. Good story, enough mystery to keep you interested, good performances.
Joseph Fiennes, John Cho and Dominic Monaghan have done a great job, with natural and good emotional acting. It was a pleasure to watch them every second.
One of the best, original shows I've ever watched.
I'm so sorry that ABC killed it after 22 episodes. After Kyle XY, a very promising show is again canceled. I'm glad I watched it, but I wanted more...

I have just revisited watching Flashforward and I still feel robbed. Characters were still in the middle of developing. Storyline still had the potential to evolve. And we are left with an amazing cliffhanger at the end of the first and only season. Too much time has passed and I feel using the original cast would be asking too much but surely devoted viewers who love this genre of program deserve some form of closure. I think it's time for someone to pick up the mantle. I wonder is was man enough to do the job. Bring back Flashforward.

I know this show was aired a while ago but i have just gone through all episodes and i'm sorry if people think its bad acting but i thought it was amazing,
There was one or two parts that had me a bit judgmental on their directing and the rest of it was so great,
But it really left me wanting to see more, i want to know more and i would love to carry on watching more as i'm sure a lot of people would of agreed at the time,
Now is a perfect time to bring it back, FYI !
Thoroughly enjoyed all of it !!

It's a shame if they cancel this show after just one season. It has a lot of potential on long run. Clever and interesting story with ability to last for at least 3 seasons, fine characters and acting (with one exception - although I highly appreciate Joseph Fiennes, I just can't figure out what happened to his acting skills here, he's so artificial, unconvincing and sometimes annoying with his face expressions?!) Not the best show on the Earth (there's no best show on the Earth if you ask me;) but better than many more that last for years. They should give this one better chance, I'm still confused about really big break at the end of 2009, I don't think it did this show any good. Overall 8.5 and I really hope they'll change their mind and let us enjoy at least season 2

I really liked the show and actually I thought it could be a replacement for LOST... I think FlashForward had a great storyline and it could become one of those famous TV shows if people had supported it a little... when I found out that it is canceled I was shocked and surprised to see such a perfect show canceled. I am really frustrated. I just want to say that I am really sorry for American audience who are only interested in black and white... Little Gray makes thing interesting and adventurous... How come you like TV shows like GLEE, ONE TREE HILL which have very boring and lame story line but not TV shows such as FlashForward which got a little mystery in it... I hope you change this attitude and be little more supportive of these shows which lots of efforts and time are spent... U SHOULD BE ASHAMED ....
It was so good. I watched it in 2010 and I still think about it. Bring it back

Put simply, this show is/was on point. It was gripping and intriguing, full stop. Yeah, sure, there was an episode here, and maybe there, where one can come down on the acting/plot if they REALLY wanted to; but apart from that, this show is fantastic.
I watched it back in 2011, and I decided to watch it again now, because I was telling a friend about it... I loved it now, as much as I did back then.
I'm posting this now, trying to do my bit in the encouragement of it's return. This show DESERVES a 2nd season, without question. Well done David S. Goyer and Co.

What did I just watched. Ok. Its 2010 cgi and storytelling and look/feel is old as well. But come on. This should have had a season 2. Maybe a reboot can help with all the streamers these days. Or just a season 2 with a new cast. We can handle it. But it was a pleasure to watch this for the first time. Even it was 12 years later.
Therefore I do hope that ratings in the States hold up well and this doesn't get canceled like so many others...
The Plot is Intriguing... A mysterious event causes every single person in the World to simultaneously lose consciousness for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, during which time People appear to see visions of their lives 6 Months in the future, Many people see Newspapers or Calendars and it's established that every single Vision Worldwide takes place on either April 29th or 30th 2010, It's also established that Visions are shared in that if one person was with another in their vision, the other person also reports the same events in their vision... During these 2 minutes and 17 Seconds many Deaths result in Car accidents among other events and leaving the Worldwide Population wondering whether what they saw will actually happen, So a Team of FBI Agents led by Stanford Wedeck (Courtney B. Vance) and spearheaded by Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes)try to find out what happened and why and whether or not it will happen again.
The plot is highly Original based upon a Novel by Sci-Fi Author Robert J. Sawyer and having only seen two episodes I have become totally hooked.
EDIT: Flashforward has been put on hiatus for over 3 MONTHS, due to falling ratings in the U.S - absolutely ridiculous, we all know from previous struggling shows that a long break in the season, really finishes the series off as hardly anybody remembers or cares after a long period of time and very few will return to watch.. Fans of series' do not like to be messed around.
EDIT: FLASHFORWARD AS OF MAY '10 HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY CANCELLED AND WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR A SECOND SERIES - I can't say I'm surprised as the Series have been on Life support since its forced hiatus in the Winter.

The premise was attractive and I looked forward to Amazon's delivery. By the tenth episode, I was conflicted on my feelings for this show.
I found that I was enjoying the story-line and the events that were unfolding, but had a severe dislike for lead actor Joseph Fiennes. I found his acting range to be so narrow that it was almost non-existent. The same paralysed facial expression in every episode was somewhat distracting. His serious expression (which looked the same as every other expression) made us giggle.
Maybe this show would have continued with a different lead actor? Who knows, but I would loved to have seen what unfolded after the cliffhanger ending.
Maybe a second season with a new agency taking over the investigation would be feasible in the FlashForward universe.

when i first heard about this show, i questioned on how it would turn out. after the first episode, i was hooked. i could not wait till the next episode because of the suspense that the previous episode had left me with. when i heard that this show was not going to be on again, i questioned why. this show was amazing and there seemed to be nothing wrong. i just don't get it. i wish the show would come back on. it is hard to believe that they left everybody who liked the show questioning what would happen next and then there being no ending. this has been one of my favorite shows to watch and it was the only show i watched on Thursdays. like i said, it was a show that it would take a while for most people to like, but i liked it right away

Can't believe they canceled this, while other absolute rubbish shows run for ten seasons! What a shame!!!!! Great actors and unbelievable plot. I watched this even though I knew it was a cliffhanger ending and there were no more seasons, which I have never done before. And I have never written a review either, but this show deserves 10+ STARS.
It was my favourite series and I still can't get over the fact it was cancelled after 1 season it left on a cliff hanger and we never found out what happened or anything. I still feel annoyed/ angry that it was cancelled after 13/14 years! The acting was great, the story line was great. And where I thought it was going to lead to was also great. I was on the edge of my seat to find out what was going to happen and how it would end after 4/5 seasons NOT cancelled after JUST 1. The fact that this is the only show I have continually gone back to wishing it hadn't been cancelled is a testament to how great I thought this show was. It was released in 2009, I'm still thinking about it in 2023. I know it would never happen but having this show picked up again to give it the respect and seasons it deserved would be absolutely amazing #Netflix ? Or even remake it but following the exact season 1 with new actors and finishing the story how it should have all along after at least 4 seasons.
Wow. Who would've thought that in the history of TV, a show such as Flash-Forward, a sci-fi show of all things TV, knocks "Survivor" off the top spot in the ratings!! Amazing. People are finally getting a show that clicks with viewers amidst the sea of chaos of soulless Reality/Gameshow crap of today's airwaves with such an impact of drama and mystery-tinged bravado with exceptionally good acting performances from Joseph Fiennes and Courtney B. Vance. David S Goyer of BB and The Dark Knight lens his pen to ensure that the series is both epic and captivating and it's because of this that I'm hooked. The female leads are not bad either but could use a bit of polish that's bound to improve in future episodes. But on top of all this is the show's concept which is really cool and has me anxious to see the next episode. Some may complain about the slow build up but I'm glad for it because it lets the audience become acquainted with the characters and their experiences during a worldwide cataclysmic event and the plot moves at a steady pace without leaving too much out of the main story. It's a little rough around the edges but I say here's to ABC for delivering a intriguing and exciting piece of TV that has yet to reveal itself in a grand and spectacular fashion.

It's for the second time that one of my favorite science-fiction series is canceled after the first season. Luckily it happens once every 15 years. Last time it was 'Earth 2', a space travel saga on an alternate Earth world which was not too happy to receive visitors. This time it's 'FlashForward', one of the fest of the few science fiction TV series that were left last year on screens, of course, excluding Lost which is also over and was in a league of its own.
Maybe the comparison with Lost and the fact that some of the producers were the same damaged to a certain respect the impact of 'FlashForward'. Sure, FF is different, both as concept, and also at the level of the execution. Based on a novel by Canadian science-fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer, the show combines the story of a planetary catastrophe caused by scientific experiments fallen under the wrong hands with a FBI team type of story and with soap opera. As the whole planet blackouts for two minutes, every man on Earth is capable of seeing a glimpse of their future six months ahead, and then needs to deal with this future, try to live it or to avoid it, to fix or to welcome it. Excellent premises for several parallel stories about how men deal with their destinies and how they control their lives and relations, in the conditions where some of the unknown becomes known, and when time gets one more relative dimension. Both the scientific and the philosophical grounds of the story are sound.
The first season of 'FlashForward' was far from perfect and its development during the 22 episodes could not keep the pace and the interest built in the first quarter. As the season advanced the amount of soap opera and of stereo-typical situations grew at the expense of the intriguing questions about the roots of the events. Not all characters were interesting to the same extent and many of the events became predictable not because of the blackout but because they just belonged to predictable TV. Yet, there was enough good stuff all along, acting was good (Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Sonia Walger, Dominic Monaghan - the last two also acted in 'Lost') and the ending just opened the gate to further questions. This show has the promises of developing into new and interesting territories, as the different alternate future paths that the story tells about. It deserves to be continued. Please bring it back!

I personally, was disappointed that there was not a second (or even third) season to this excellent series. I have always loved texts, be it books, movies, TV series with intriguing and mind bending concepts.. this certainly fits the bill. The entire world blacking out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, seeing their respective futures, and taking actions to ensure / change their future is an intriguing topic, and one that I thought was executed quite well.
The acting was done quite well, but this was all about the concept and the execution. Such a clever idea deserved a sequel, as i felt there were many unanswered questions which didn't do it justice. It made you question aspects of your own life, and delve into decisions / indecisions you have made in the past. I feel any text that can make me examine myself in that light deserves to be commended. If you are someone that is after something light-hearted, something you can sit back and enjoy without paying a great deal of attention, then this isn't for you. If, like me, you enjoy something a little more mentally stimulating, something that makes you think, and something that intrigues you overall, then this is an excellent place to start.

I thought the opening episode was awesome. I try not to go into new shows trying to make comparisons to other shows I've seen. I just try to take in what I'm experiencing there and then and if you do that, I think you'll find Flash Forward's opening episode pretty good. The concept is great and they have a great cast of actors. What I especially liked was the suspense of it all, what everyone "saw" themselves doing, who they were with, who they weren't with, and so forth. And lastly, is this a supernatural type of story? A natural disaster or phenomenon of sorts? A deliberate event or experiment? Who knows! The natural fear exhibited by the cast is also fairly realistic, when you place yourself in their shoes. I imagined myself in the same situation... what if you caught a glimpse of yourself 6months into the future? What if you didn't like what you saw? Scary....
The challenge will be to see if they can maintain the intensity through the life of the show....
The challenge will be to see if they can maintain the intensity through the life of the show....
Due to an unexplained phenomenon, the entire world's population blacks out for approximately 2 minutes and 17 seconds, and almost everybody sees a glimpse of life 6 months into the future. An elite FBI task force is formed to investigate.
This is high concept sci-fi that devolves into chaos as more gets revealed. It lasted one season for 23 episodes in total. It became chaotic after the winter break. I would have liked to see if the show could recover some of its original tension in a second season. The other problem may be the large cast. It tends to dilute the emotional tension of each individual character's storyline.
