Lively. Funny and Entertaining

I like how the witty dialogue and fast moving story never gets boring. The characters experience surprises, dumb mistakes, and awkward moments certain to make you smile.

The adolescent characters are already struggling to figure out who they are, so learning they aren't even related to their families makes them more confused. Watching them react and change adds a nice subtext to the surface comedy. I would have liked a bit more emotional depth, but this is primarily a comedy, so just sit back and laugh.

The attractive, crisp, modern animation is similar to "My Dress Up Darling". Also, there is plenty of "fan service" (Hollywood calls it "T & A"}, but the sexual humor here is restrained and unlikely to offend anyone.

I recommend this romantic comedy.

Switched at birth with a romantic twist

Nagi always felt like the odd one in his family, being a diligent and ambitious learner while none of them are particularly studious. Anyway he loves them and therefore has little interest to get to know his biological parents. He gives into meeting them once, but little does he know what they have planned out for him...

"A Couple of Cookoos" constructs a hilarious setting to establish the harem plotline. The show tries to be funny, but fails to be outstandingly witty or hilarious. Its animation style is rather serious and not overly comical, which makes it hard for the show to find its place. It doesn't take itself particularly serious and therefore makes it hard to immerse or relate. It offers a certain share of fanservice while following the protagonist navigating the maze of weirdness his family, biological parents and his own feelings throw him into, but does not manage to connect to the viewer on an emotional level.

Eventually this show seems to be between the chairs. Its style does not really match with the kind of story it tries to tell, and thus fails to excel in either dimension of the romcom genre. It's still 'good' imho, but not more. Watch it if you're a fan of the genre, but leave it be if not since it is unlikely to get you hooked.

Anyone who appreciates romantic comedies

I'll get right to the point: A Couple of Cuckoos is a rom-com with a harem tag. This anime isn't original or feel particularly different from other animes, but that doesn't mean it's a terrible one; I'm just bringing it up for readers who might have been hoping for something different.

Nagi Umino, the male main character, isn't the loser/virgin kind that you typically see in those kinds of animes; instead, he resembles characters like Hachiman in Oregairu and Fuutarou in Gotoubun. He is frank and won't hold back when speaking his thoughts, which occasionally lends the show more credibility.

Everything feels coherent about this program, except for the opening scene where the baby switches things at birth. Of course, achieving such a feat doesn't seem difficult in a slice of life environment, but I'm trying to emphasize it because it's executed better than in other rom-coms. (Mostly, I'm thinking of the character profiles; each one makes sense, and the manga/show honors the characteristics assigned to the characters as the plot progresses.)

There is brocon in this show. To clarify, note that there are no sexually suggestive scenes in the show (which, incidentally, doesn't have a lot of fanservice), and there's always the standard justification that the siblings aren't related by blood. Still, I'm classifying this as a con because some viewers will find the show offensive for this reason alone.

Although that's a bit of a double-edged standard, I don't think the plot moves forward at a particularly good speed. You will like every episode and be happy that there are 24 of them if you like the characters and the overall feel of the program. However, if you are hoping for some rapid character development, plot twists, and other things, you will be quite disappointed with or bored with the show.

Overall, I would suggest A Couple of Cuckoos to anyone who appreciates romantic comedies. The show really has a cast that is fairly intriguing, and the character dynamics feel cohesive, which makes the tale easy to follow and makes you fall deeply in love with your favorite character or characters. The primary issue with the show is its rhythm and duration; in my opinion, there may not be enough action in 24 episodes, therefore you should not bother watching it if you're looking for an anime with a strong narrative. In addition, there is some brocon in this show-nothing too offensive, but it's never a good idea to see that kind of thing.

They're Gonna Need a Whole Lot of Therapy

First, if I was handed a boy to take home instead of the GIRL I just gave birth to, I think I would notice.

Second, the whole main contrivance of this anime is, though not technically incestual, emotionally and psychologically, absolutely is.

Third, all the little sub-plots are unnecessarily complicated. They are meant for laughs -- people hiding the fact that they don't know each other or live together sort of thing -- but they come off as very amateurish.

Fourth, has ALL the same characters you have ever seen in anime.

As far as I can tell, the manga is still going. I thought I would finish this season and be done with it, but I guess not. I won't be back for season 2.

To be honest I really like it I know many people won't like it but I like it. Actually it's up to each person but I really like it there's comedy there's romance there's everything if you're a real anime lover so you can't see anything bad about it only the good side will be noticed I'm not saying I'll like all anime it's not a big deal The point is that anime is not bad if you put your eyes or your mind and yourself in that place. I will say one thing that put yourself in this anime place and think of all the characters in this anime, all the people around you and if you like the main character, you will like all the anime.

Incest-ish?

I like the original concept of switched at birth and to stay in the family, the two have to get married.

Everything else is all over the place.

1. The sister liking her brother? Ew.

2. It tried to be funny at times, but wasn't.

3. The girl characters and love interest are all meh/annoying - I like you, but don't like you, but let's accidentally run into each other naked or go on dates but I don't want you to think we go together/I like you... it was the same plot every episode and so boring to watch.

4. The fanservice is pretty typical, but being that the sister was in middle school is gross.

I honestly don't even know what I watched and what was the point of it. The mc doesn't know if he wants his sister, his crush or the girl he got switched at birth.

The only thing that interested me was the mc biological father and what was he plotting...and who is the mc's older brother. Everything else was ridiculous.

Listen here this is the best anime one can watch if you don't like violence or abuse. The anime is short if you don't watch it will shoot you , the Hindi dub is mind blowing dubbed by famous person who dubbed the voice of Nobita in doremon.thr polt is simple even you are a child wanna start Anime this would be best option for you just what its not even that long just 24 for 23 minutes average, two children were exchanged while birth and there family came to know about it earlier a boy name nagi got exchanged from a rich family to a middle class family and you would know how amazing this anime is.

Harem/Rom-Com focused on stupidity instead Harem/Rom-Com with a boring MC and even more boring non-progressive story

If you are looking for a Harem, Romance, Comedy anime that focuses on none of those themes, with a boring MC and a even more boring and stupid story and you got a lot of time and you wanna waste your time, then this is it. It is not Harem, not comedy, not romamtic, not funny and not serious, its just Trash. The writer seems to be confused about what to write and what to focus on the story, can't decide, so he made this Trash. The origin of this story of so stupid you will wonder, is it practically possiblle for the stupidest person to switch two commpletely different baby, who got completlely different hair color, eye color and opposite gender. But they managed to do it, for the sake of the stupid story. If you ever watched "Rent a Girlfriend", this anime is like that except this is worse, and "Rent a Girlfriend" was Trash, you watch two whole seasons and there is still no progress to the story. Well, in this anime, if you just watch the first 4 to 6 episode and the last episode, you will not miss anything important to the story. There is no progress at all at the end of the season. And Man! It was hard and painful to watch each episode. I highly recommend you to stay away from this Trash of a Romance/Comedy anime. Just ignore it, if you value your time.

Great storyline, characters and design

The plot of two people being switched at birth was amazing and I love how every character had their own development in their own unique way.

Personally, I think Nagi was thrown around a bit too much but other than that, it was great It wasn't like your typical harem which I was really getting bored of. I was actually thinking of quitting harem anime until I watched this.

Normally I would rate it 10/10 but I still feel it was missing something. I really hope they raise the bar in season 2 but I couldn't wait so I've already began to read the manga lol but all in all, it was masterpiece of an anime.

Brilliant story

I liked it's story, dialogue and also romance I want to watch complete series so I can get the whole idea.

I experienced a lots of fun here I am from Pakistan and I watched it's Hindi dubbing and found a great suspense.

I want to wish it's complete story.

I am in suspense right now .

I can't wait anymore.

This story shows a goal of boy and it's struggle to achieve his goal.

Moments are awesome. Dialogue are awesome. Characters are good looking l. Story is unforgettable. I got my interest in it. It spoiled me.

I don't know why are they not bring More episodes of it Please provide further episodes of it.

because all parents are not good people

So this anime is really rubbish so I understand in terms of birth but what does that plot have to do with Nagi who has to be with this girl If before she had treated her very badly she had that both parents are all in agreement But what parents of 💩 The female characters and thelove interests are all meh/annoying I like you but I don't like you but let's accidentally meet naked or date but I don't want you to think we're dating I like you the plot was the same in every episode and it was so boring to watch and I don't understand why the sister isin love with him they shouldn't just be brothers and then comedy isn't funny at all. Then since when does a female who slaps a male have to make people laugh? It's not funny but it's painful. What a terrible anime comedy to conclude, rating 2.

It's a great anime

The story of the anime is great. It surely deserves a season 2. I eagerly wait for the season 2 of this anime. I hope we can see A couple of cuckoos season 2 very soon.

As we saw at the final episode of a couple of cuckoos season 1 the story was not fully ended So we can hope to see another season of this anime I am waiting very eagerly to see the second season of a couple of cuckoos hope to see the second season very soon. I really liked the season 1 of a couple of cuckoos as It's story had a great mystery.

I could hardly tell what the next episode would bring But the episode 24 was great i really liked it.

Hope to see A couple of cuckoos season 2 very soon.
