The road to hell is (often) paved with good intentions

Warning: Spoilers
The title of this review sums up what I thought of Jamie in this episode. Although he meant well, his actions kept a war hero in-and-out of the justice system, as well cost him the personal and professional relationship of a good rookie cop in his precinct. For that, I fully support the PC's decision to suspend Jamie.

That being said, the final scene where Danny and Jill meet for the first time since Iraq was very moving.

Great Epidode

The Reagans never disappoint with their compassion and understanding. Just one of the reasons I love this show and that family. This episode really touched my heart.

Great writing and acting. BUT IF CBS TURNS THE LIGHTS ANY LOWER WE'll JUST USE AUDIBLE because there won't be anything to see!!!

In a series full of great episodes..

Every season, few episodes can truly stand out. That's a great problem to have of course. But this episode was especially exceptional. Reagan's disagreeing but only for good reasons. Heartfelt as always and thoughtful. Blue Bloods proves week in and week out that wholesome television is still possible. They cover the hard stuff without going overboard or making it rated R. And that's a real accomplishment in today's social climates and the Hollywood of the 2020s. Highly recommend this series.

Who guards the guards?

Officer Janko must work with a discredited parole officer (PO) to stop another PO from abusing parolees under his care. Sgt Jamie puts his career on the line and risk disapproval from Reagan clan to help an addict help herself. A murdered comedians' stable owner provides easy motives for her murderer. Baez and Danny must sort suspects.

Why didn't Jamie just tell Frank?

Warning: Spoilers
Of course I enjoyed seeing the story play out, and the crew in their roles - I love them all.

They should've just stayed with the crime, it was interesting.

But, they tried to create a big family rift and problem for Jamie and Frank, and they reached too far - they cheated.

There was no story there, because Jamie wouldn't have had any reason to hide his reason for what he did during Jill's arrest by the rookie in the first place. He could've just told the rookie her story - "problem" solved. If rookie still made a fuss that made it all the way to Frank's office, then Jamie could've simply told Frank. Why on earth didn't he?

No one would have objected to his attempt to help a heroic veteran in her miserable circumstances.
