Congrats to bob-1135, for writing I think the most ill-informed review I've ever seen on here, and that includes some purlers.
He says "what a sad end" . . .er, HELLO, this is episode five, and it's NOT the end?! He doesn't seem to appreciate the story has been following several credible, possible murderers (and their partners where they exist), then drawing the threads together for the end (THAT will be episode SIX, hope that helps Bob?!).
This is exactly what previous series in this show have done, and they've been very popular.
"Man who stole the watches" - well, could be the murderer (disgraced social worker, being blackmailed by the victim). And he had gone to live in Paris, oh, sorry, too i'national?! Presumably the cult-farm in Wales (the victim had lived there at times) should have been in Essex?
"Miscarriage" - er, just trying to show some personal life of the coppers, as was the new lead's hubby having an affair? Too distracting?? As for "presumed Lesbian relationship" - - really, where? I must have missed them, where were THEY?!! Which characters disappeared without trace? As for Hayley Mills, and her screen time, maybe she gets more in episode six -- that IS the last one!! Keep the faith, complex plotting, and more suspects than some Christie books, but stay with it, even if the new lead isn't Nicola Walker, and possesses an Oirish accent!
