When you come home you're supposed to make things better!
bosporan15 April 2022
A story of postnatal depression and how life-demands crash in, steal your soul and infuse you with guilt. A woman simultaneously trying to be a mother, struggling to keep her job and providing sex on-demand quite literally has these things consume her.

Marvellous metaphor, albeit thickly painted.

As a Woman and Mother Oh Boy...

Warning: Spoilers
...Did I get it. Not even finished the episode yet.

Let me put on this way, right in the middle of being broke and raising my son all by myself and being the always responsible wife, mother, daughter, big sister, and employee, I had a dream whereby I was being persued by vampires wanting to suck my blood.

When I woke up, I muttered to myself, Well I don't need Freud to figure *that* one out!...

Remember the old orange juice commercial where they rammed a straw into an orange?

Well just ram that i'into our necks and just suck everything out of us...

*That's* what being a wife, mother employee, daughter, sibling, friend, housekeeper, nurse, maid..... Feels like.

Jake Johnson great as usual

I came to specifically watch this episode to see Jake Johnson in a 'serious' role. I suffered through the first 3 vignettes to get to episode 4. As usual, Jake makes the most with what he is given. The story was very odd and I would not really understand the story - without reading the other review.

Hit home... Very well done!

Warning: Spoilers
As a working mom who also used to have to leave town for business, I can completely relate to this one. I was trying to figure out what exactly was causing the bite marks and was stumped. The ending was so profound to me. The players really did a wonderful job with their characters. They all seemed so incredibly natural and believable. The in-depth detail of her days at work and at home with her family was spot on.

When the counselor told her that her guilt was literally eating her alive, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't figure that one out on my own, especially since I was watching late at night while my family is asleep because of how late I get home from work every night. 🤦‍♀️
