Prepare to cry, lots.
smonster004 July 2021
After Seo yeon's father suicide she and her mom are left with massive amounts of debt, alone. She grewed up too fast for her age..

This movie is very sad and very painful. It is about fitting in with your peers when u feel like an outsider because of the traumas u experience.

The child actors are very professional.

A somber tale for the time being

Please don't save me is the story of Seon yu. The film does deal with heavy subjects of loss but isn't a cry fest. This was a choice which makes the film refreshing.

Sincere storytelling is what drives the film forward. There's nothing much that goes on plotwise but it still feels like a meaningful story.

The part that i liked the most were how the side characters were handled. No extreme or one note character showing the human nature of people around them.

If you were on the fence about this before or implore you to give this a watch. It's a good film.

Waste of Time

I felt like nothing happened in the hour and a half or so I spent watching this thing, no plot development at all hardly. There could have been so many nuances or embellishments to effectively lead the viewer to where the story was going, instead it just plodded along aimlessly. Even if it had ended differently, that would have least injected some feeling and gravitas into this flat tale.
