Not too authentic or well-acted

"Nice to Meet You" is a British 18-minute short film from 2007, so it is also already 8 years old. It is maybe the most known work by writer and director Will Garthwaite, who is also an actor, but does not perform in here. I guess the only reason for this short film to be kinda well-known today is the cast. The male lead, a character running from the police, stuck in a mother-daughter relationship, is played by Jamie Dornan and his two love interests are played by the wife and daughter of music superstar Sting from "The Police". As for the story here, it is nothing too memorable or interesting and I was also not convinced by any of the performances. The story, even if slightly generic and unrealistic as well, is probably still the most, if not only, interesting thing about this entire project. I am not too surprised Garthwaite's career has been stalling in the last decade, but I hope he can step things up. Thumbs-down for this one. Not recommended.
