They ruined a potential franchise

The first movie was really good, decent story, good thrills, some good gore and blood. This one starts well, but suddenly goes into sci Fi territory, why? The comedy wasn't good either, except for a few decent gore scenes this movie literally bored me.

I don't understand why they completely changed the storyline from a good slasher in the first almost Wrong Turn type, to a dull and boring second.

Just 5 stars for this.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT compared to the first film!!

I very much liked the 1st film. It had a really cool/likable lead female protagonist as well as having several very likable characters. It was genuinely sad when some of them died. The 1st film also had some good gore/blood & good cinematography.

This sequel COMPLETELY ruins the 1st film's female protagonist and makes the villain(s) from the 1st film barely background noise. Yes, this sequel has good gore/blood and the cinematography is once again pretty good but the storyline is a bit of a middle finger to those who (like me) liked the first film.

This sequel also has NO characters that are actually likable/sympathetic. I thought the lead young cop character "Adas" would be that likable character that i would root for but he was mostly whiny for much of the movie (i admit still have about 20 minutes left to the film).

I definitely recommend the first film but i do not recommend this sequel.

One of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. Aliens, gore, and it kind of tries to be a comedy? The make-up and effects looked authentic. But the storyline is just bizarre.

As much as I liked the first one as much I hated this one. This is utterly trash. Only to watch for the gore and let me say, ultragore.

It started really well and looked fine but after 15 minutes it becomes boring and slow. The further it goes it becomes ridiculous.

Gorehounds will love it, but you have to sit through 1h43 minutes of a really really bad flick.

What a waste of money! Should have spent the money on a food bank in a city in Poland. No reason for this film to have been made. Shame if the producers.

Puns aside, I have to admit I never thought there would be a sequel to the first movie. But now I can imagine there being a third one - everything is possible. Now before I delve into the "story", let's say one thing that every slasher fan is actually looking for in horror movies like this one: this is ultra violent and has a good mixture between practical and CG effects.

So if that floats your boat, you might as well give it a try. Having said that, the story itself ... well that is a different story, no pun intended. While the movie flows along nicely (with enough kills and suspense to keep you occupied), towards the end there seems to be a switch ... a change of lanes. That is something that viewers may find disturbing to say the least. The loveable (new) main characters change in a way - it's hard to really root for anyone in this ... so if you don't mind that and are in for the kills ... there are way worse movies out there.

Beautiful, weird, gore and funny movie

One the Best horror movie seen this year. Much better than first, for sure.

I create an account on imdb just for rate and discuss about this movie, so you can imagine how much i liked it.

It's just weird, a bizarre film who succeed not to became stupid or pathetic, but a good, smart and funny horror tale.

Maybe a little too slow and perhaps the main character, the beginner officer, should be more charismatic.

Otherwise, it's a surprinsingly good movie, with a great music, very nice effects and a story developed in a way that make you understand you should not take this too serious. It's just a horror film. A very good one.

Surprisingly entertaining

I didn't like the first film but for some reason went ahead and watched the sequel. I'm glad I did, because this film is much funnier and more original than its predecessor. Some scenes and choices truly surprised me, and it was refreshing considering nowadays everything seems to be a remake or tribute to something else. Still, it's a low-budget film, so don't have high expectations.

One of Netflix's worst movies

Even though I'm a horror fan, Netflix's horror movies are usually not the best movies on the streaming service. Like the first Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight, they are usually average or slightly above average. Unfortunately, this film failed to even meet those expectations. The film starts off poorly, with a scene that doesn't have much to do with anything. The viewer then meets the main characters, who are both unlikeable and unrealistic choices for police officers. Apparently, there are only three police officers in this town and they are an old and out of shape man, a young man with less courage than the Wizard of Oz lion, and a girl who looks like she should be in her freshman year of college. Other than the survivor from the first film, the only other characters we meet are an animal abuser, two annoying camp directors, and two neo-nazis. Overall, one of the most unlikeable casts possible. The plot appears to be written by a child, because it is equally as bad as the characters. Instead of scares and suspense, the movie chooses to make one failed joke after another. And as bad as the first half of movie is, the second half is significantly worse. The scenes that include dialogue between monsters are some of the worst scenes ever produced by Netflix. The only good thing I can say about this film is that some of the murders are pretty unique. I should have turned this film off in the first twenty minutes, but decided to keep watching since the first film was worth a view. Netflix is currently considering a third film in this series. I would strongly recommend that they scrap those plans and put those resources into a new series that could have more potential. 2/10

The first half of this started with promise. Then it went south. It got annoying. I liked some parts of the ending but I can't say this was a good sequel. If the second half continued like the first half I would have added a couple stars. Quirky is one thing. This just got boring and disappointing.

I liked the first movie. I would say it was cute, nothing special but very nice watch on a weekend. Unfortunately the sequel that takes place just after the first one is just a mistake.

It's less dynamic and it's quite sad - the producers probably hoped it will be succesfull but it just doesn't work for me.

And I'm sad because I'm Polish and I would love to see more Polish movies to be hits around the world. Oh well.

If you enjoyed the first movie- I can recommend 'All my friends are dead'- also Polish comedy horror available on Netflix.

Don't waste your time.

OMG, what a waste if time, sorry I can't give this movie anymore than a one star rating, my question is, where did it all go wrong?

Okay the first one was not a great movie but it was enjoyable if you like that sort if thing. Now I like slasher style movies and the first one didn't disappoint so when I saw the second one on Netflix I dived into watching it.

Boy was I sorry, firstly they film makers changed a straight horror into a comedy one, why? Okay the first one had unintentional humour which happens to most horror films but when the humour is done on purpose it can work or nit and this one Didn't.

Next it was the story, okay it can be quite difficult to keep a movie going by but adding in, I am not going to give anything away but this time it didn't work. Keep the same story but add to it with something that makes sense.

I can see a third one being made and if it does I am hoping the film makers will revert back to the original one.

All in all don't waste your time.

Weird

The plot is fathomable, even artistic. The gore is in excess, and I am here for it.

However, in Act II or III, it gets fundamentally weird. Without giving anything away, I did not sign up for that extended and awkward character development.

Still, the film is decent, and the end gives me enough closure.

This movie is werid and original - and gory. It's a 7.5 out of 10 for me but seeing such low ratings I'm giving it a 10.

It's a fresh approach to slashers, I would have never expected where the plot is going to take me.

Special make-up is and praticals are solid. Soundtrack is a plus as well.

Had a lot of fun on this one and was trully surprised half way through the film when the twist happens.

Quirky horror comedy

Likable Quirky horror comedy and monster love story. The film never takes itself too seriously. It starts out with a young kid wanting to make his mark in the world and looking for love. But life has some twist and turns he didn't expect.

The first one was really good but this one is pretty unwatchable, I was so excited to watch this since I really liked the first one but I ended up losing 1h and 43 minutes of my life it was just so bad the only good thing about it was the gore nothing else.

The first movie was not great but it was more interesting. With this second movie it's like someone other than the actual producer wrote this in one night just because... Yes, it is that bad. Nothing makes sense, the weird creatures have sex, lots of people die in stupid ways and WORST they are not done with it.

I did like the shock and horrors of the first film of, what it seems to be , will be made many of, as a graphic horror bloody gory mesh its a top notch technical product, but its for the most too slow, fatigued on originality and storyline,and lacks the randomness that caracterized the first flick.

Its more a monsters doing the tail story, and the artwork of makeup and specialeffects might turn some stomach int o turmoil, but thats it.

This is a film for the raw horror geek, not a grumpy old man like me, therefore just a 5 minus for this feature.

Better than I Expected

Horror sequels have a habit of simply rehashing the same premise over and over. This sequel takes a significantly different turn which I found to be quite original. The main character was very relatable which had me rooting for him and actually care what happened to him (as opposed to most characters in horror movies that are so dumb you hope they die.)

I'm sure this movie won't be an amazing hit or start a new trend in horror movies, but if you are a huge fan of horror movies and feel like you've seen them all, this is worth a watch.

Best horror-fantasy-comedy of 2021

What I want from the genre. Original, fun FX, and doesn't take itself seriously. If you prefer 80s monsters and body-horror over modern ghost dramas, then this movie is for you. Eager for an equally unpredictable Part 3!

You have to go into this movie with the mindset of just wanting some fun.. and a lot of gore. The second half is so odd and off the wall but roll with it. Makes for a fun night in. Also if you need a break from traditional horror this is a good pallet cleanser.
