Excellent episode!!
Just-A-Girl-145 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this episode and I really liked the multi universe explanation! It was done really well! Excellent excellent episode!!

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical. I was binge watching the show and I was worried I won't get the answers and closure I was looking. Thankfully I did. Well, at least for the most part. I think the problem with multiverse theory is that the more you think about it, the more questions you have. At least I do. I wish IMDb never shutdown their message boards because that could have been a great place to discuss the show.

Here are some of my questions: Why did the 350 people creat a ripple effect big enough to cause the universe to collapse? If the universe corrected itself before why can't it do it again? Why didn't all those 350 people just die (disintegrate or melt off or something)? If I take Skylar and Justin's story for example, Skylar told her past mom about the accident which caused her mom to stay in the house and die. Justin saw what was happening to his mother and that caused him to run away from the house and get on the bus. He then was in the wrong place and that seemed to affect his destiny too. If as it seemed, he started to break and melt off on the bus that would probably affect every passenger on the bus causing them to be in the wrong place too and so on and on. How did the universe corrected all of that without collapsing? And the same with the other stories. Why couldn't the universe correct itself with the 350 people like it did with every single person in every single story? Also, why would the universe collapse at all? There's a lot in the universe other than people. Wouldn't the ripple effect just cause humanity to disappear and everything else would just keep on going? As for the specific stories, how did the future General Wilson know what was going on when he got the call from Captain Perry if the present General seemed to have no idea what Dr Wheating was talking about? How did 86 y/o Dr Wheating managed to get a hold of the1978 version of himself? And did 1978 Dr Wheating shutdown the machine? Presumably he did because the universe reset itself.. Now, If the universe reset itself what does it mean for all the stories we heard? If it's like it never happened and they won't remember anything, doesn't that mean 1978 Dr Wheating still built the machine, abandoned his family and the whole thing just repeat itself? Also, why did it take the machine 40+ years to work? Who are "they" Dr Wheating was afraid of (the government)? Is it possible it worked before and the universe corrected itself over and over for the past four decades? Wouldn't someone notice that? Those people died in a very unique way. Also there are still unknown/unexplained details. Like why did Layla die? Why was Tim in LA and not New York in the pilot? And most importantly, I did not understand Mark's story!! Unlike everybody else. Mark didn't just get weird phone calls, it seemed as if he himself fell through time. He was driving for half an hour in the desert but for everybody else it's been years, otherwise why would the date on his phone change? This is the biggest issue for me that was not explained properly. What happened to Mark? If he fell through time, what did he find when he got back to his house? And if I'm wrong and he didn't then where was he all those years? I can keep on and on with the questions. I really enjoy this subject of multidimensional universe but because I'm not a physicist or a scientist I don't fully get it. If you read my review and have answers, please explain them in your own review.

Anyways, it was a great episode and a really good show. I don't know if they are planing a second season but if they are, I will definitely watch it! Thumbs up! 👍
