- Turtle considers a new career path and enlists Ari's help. Charlie's new TV show may spell problems for Eric.
- A disparaging phone call from his mother (a Magazine printed the article on Jamie dating Turtle with the headline "She's dating him ?!" - Turtle was wearing sneakers with a tuxedo) and two very expensive gifts from Vince (a brand new $240,000 Ferrari. Vince is playing Enzo Ferrari in his next movie and so he got 10% off) and Jamie-Lynn (a Porsche 911) only sour Turtle's mood on his birthday. Turtle wants to launch a business venture called Lim-hos, a stretch limo service with women chauffeurs. He wants to go into business with his cousin Ronnie, but Ronnie has no money. Turtle cant ask Vince as Vince has already done enough for him.
Turtle thinks he is a loser, so he seeks help from Ari, who helps him realize how to get ahead. Turtle is looking for an investor for a business venture. Turtle wants Ari to put him in touch with such investors. Turtle went to a bank, but they only laughed at him since Turtle has no collateral. Ari makes Turtle realize that all he has is a good idea and has done absolutely no homework of any sort. Ari says that he worked a job all through college and grad school. Turtle doesn't even have a business plan. What he needs, office space, insurance, employees, what he projects to earn, and what is the break even point. At what point can his investors see some profit. Turtle decides to roll into a business management course at UCLA to make a career. Drama offers to fund Turtle's education as his birthday gift to him.
Ari meets E and has offers for Vince from Paramount, Fox & Universal ($ 9 - $ 12 MM).
Meanwhile, Eric learns that Charlie (Bow Wow) did not test well on his pilot (even Ashley didn't like the pilot episode and in fact she hated Charlie). The pilot itself scores an 87, but Charlie scored a 59. This means that the network is going to replace him.
Knowing that Charlie Williams is about to be fired by the network, E goes somewhere he's never been to stop it from happening. E calls Ari for advise. E says that first the network got a hack to re-write the show and now they are going to fire Charlie from his own show. Ari says that the show is still going to make money and that Charlie will have a big fat royalties check to show for his efforts, even if he is not on the show. E goes back home to watch the pilot again. E likes Charlie, but Ashley says that Charlie is nervous and uncomfortable and that he sucks on the show. Charlie put an year of work into his show and E knows he cant do anything to help him.
Ari tells E to lie through the roof, have a fit, throw a tantrum, put guilt into the network (that they would fire his client from a show that he created). And if all fails, call the network racist, as Charlie is a negro. E confronts the network exec Amy Miller (Janet Varney), who doesn't buy the racist argument as she has the numbers to back her up. E has no option but to deliver the bad news to Charlie.
Ashley has become a permanent fixture in E's home and is not moving out. Whenever E brings the subject up, she jumps into the bed with E.
