There was way to much of EZ and Gabby talking about pointless crap, one of them has got to go......hopefully it's Gabby lol.

I always saw EZ as the part of the show/MC that was smart, considered and with a light heart. Not fighting with but hurt by what he has had to do to get by.
He has plenty of positive traits and influences around him especially his intelligence and deliberation. I thought it was incredibly cheap and sloppy writing to see him eve start a brawl a) in an ice cream shop b) with cops right outside c) right in front of Gabby (which he knows would traumatise her more than a few creepy comments) d) with a couple of GIs he's already proven himself to and can get to at any time.
It was the dumbest action I have ever seen and goes against every thing I have witnessed that has built his character thus far.
Now you may think I have missed the obvious: He also elbows Gabby square in the face. Let's deal with that. Yes it was also bad and stupid. I can't believe he'd be in such a blind rage he wouldn't listen to Gabby telling him to stop repeatedly at the top of her voice. What made it worse was maybe the choreography/editing/acting. He looks her square in the eye and elbows his sweet loving girlfriend right between the eyes.
The whole "Girl gets insulted,guy starts fight" trope was overplayed in the 60s. Freshening it up with "the girl then tries to stop it and gets hurt" worked until maybe the late 70s. This whole scene destroyed the credibility of a show I finally felt like I could recommend to people. I will give the finale a try then probably give up on this relatively forgettable show.

Not rating this because I love the episode but I need to harp on Gabby. Get rid of her! EZ can do better then her. He needs someone more accepting of him and who he is. The scene on the bridge...I wanted to throw her off it.
