Great episode but how the hell did Ezekiel get released from prison?
amazalaloveness5 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
While the episode was great, maybe the best of the season, the lack of realism was disturbing. At the end of the last episode (season 3 episode 8) Ezekiel beats up two young guys pretty severely, he accidently hits his girlfriend and he violently resists arrest. That is a pretty violent felony with penalties up to 8 years in prison in the US. When I saw episode 8 I thought: "How the hell are they going to continue the series without Ez who will now spend the next many years in prison." It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever that Ezekiel is simply released from prison the next morning as if he had just spent the night in detention for a very minor felony (or maybe it is a few days later - but not more than that, Gabriela still has a black eye when he comes out). There is no mentioning of anyone bailing him out, no insinuations that he will face any charges, they just let him ago even though three policemen saw him violently beat up two guys and had to fight with him to arrest him. The whole point of the scene where Ez beats up the two guys and accidently hits Gaby was that he cannot escape his violent nature and that the rage he harbors will eventually prevent him from having a healthy relationship. But they could have made point with a scene where he beats up someone and accidently hits Gaby without getting arrested!

Great setup

Some of the most moving scenes I have seen from a TV series in a long time occurred during this latest episode of Mayans MC. Enjoyed it so much I decided to write what I think is my first IMDB review. Very much looking forward to next weeks finale episode.

It's gonna get bloody

Finally a very good episode. The season finale's gonna shock everyone I believe that. Can't wait to see the clash between Santo Padre and Mayans. And it's gonna be more bloody in the finale episode.

Elgin James Is Making Moves
ericnh-4560522 May 2021
What an episode! This season has been building pretty intensely and the payoff is going to be mind-blowing, I know it. This episode's director, Elgin James (who is also the co-creator and a writer), has proven himself more than capable in all three roles. It's incredible to see this guy come up from the hardcore kid I used to see in Boston at shows on and off the stage to, in my opinion, one of the best up and coming writer/directors right now.

Kurt Sutter created something new and exciting with Sons of Anarchy but Mayans M. C. is different; more than a spin-off. It's darker, more visceral and has a life of its own without riding on the back of what came before it. I truly believe that James is the reason for this. I'm excited to see what's to come in the future for him. Well done. XBHCx.

The Best Episode Till Now
iamsankho3 December 2021
I just finished watching the episode and it just hit me so hard. It is emotional and you will feel it. The cinematography and background music is on another level. Kudos to Kurt Sutter. I guess the finale will be bloody. But this one was so sad. I will need some time to get over it.

Hoping season four will be with much more better stories.

Sucks about Kurt Sutter. But she was getting better.
nicktusk-955915 April 2023
Seems like the characters have fit into the rows a little bit better. When Kurt was directing, he's bringing a lot of the old Sons of Anarchy cast into the show. Which I don't mind. At least I can keep them on as a consultant but not really sure Google some articles apparently had a feud with Disney. This is old news. Obviously I'm just catching up so try and enjoy the series. Obviously Kurt Sutter a legend with Sons of Anarchy. This episode is great but Elgin does a great job of steering the ship now so I'm interested in seeing what happens season five. Can't wait for the new episodes to come out.

I'm confused...
ecsecs-9122522 June 2022
Am I watching Mayans M. C., a griping drama about the everyday life of a motorcycle gang that mules drugs for a powerful cartel or am I watching Euphoria?

Not Bad Warning: Spoilers
Decent episode, but the plot needs to move at a better pace. Little to nothing has really happened during the course of this season. Even the "shock" in this episode was telegraphed during the hour. You knew by the way Steve was acting that something would happen with him. I think having him act like he'd come to terms with taking a life would have been better. After EZ told him he had to push it down and deal with it. He sits around after getting patched in. He's laughing. He's drinking. He's listening to the stories being told. Then his face drops. He says "I tried, EZ" and pop! Him looking like he was standing on the edge of a bridge the whole episode telegraphed it.
