Mary hides in plain sight, pretending to be a philanthropic socialite who takes in unwanted delinquent children and cares for them in House of Grace, a center for "at risk" youth in Vosloorus on the East Rand of Johannesburg But behind the façade lurks a cold-hearted criminal; a woman who is not above fraud, murder, or trafficking children in an illegal adoption ring. She is untouchable. Or so she thinks. Mary Ndlovu is running away from her traumatic past. A past that she believes is safely buried. She is a narcissist to the core and a staunch believer in Christ. Yet she launders her illegal money through the church, among many other illicit dealings. Mary has one biological child, a daughter - the musically talented and idolized Esther (Didintle Khunou) - and two adopted children: Simon (TK Sebothoma), who is devoted, talented and troubled; and her favorite son and right-hand general, Gabriel (Bohang Moeko), who is resourceful, damaged and brooding.

Gabriel and his old friend Abednego meet up for the first time in years. Both have so much baggage and so much to hide. Both know how to kill.

Mary is on high alert after receiving her special letter. Gabriel has his hands full juggling the pastor and his sister, who is not taking her fall from fame well. Simon does as Mary says.

Pastor Duma's growing insolence puts Gabriel at odds with the club owner, Gazati. Esther and Makwande's rollercoaster relationship continues to see-saw. Mary does not take kindly to Makwande accusing her of being the problem.

Gabriel and Abednego find themselves at opposite ends of a turf war between Vorster and Gazati

Mary tries to outwit her blackmailer whilst Gazati digs deeper into Vorster's operation. Simon and Zakwe butt heads.

Gabriel finds himself in a compromised situation after Zakwe's theft of Gazati's possession. Esther licks her wounds in the privacy of her apartment but the bad streak is not done with her. Zakwe endears himself to Jumima.

Mary prepares to wow the Swedish NGO to secure funding. Gabriel and Abednego must hatch a plan to save Zakwe and Destiny. Esther and Makwande's relationship sinks into further trouble.

Mary is eager for nothing to go wrong with the Swedes visiting HOG, but trouble keeps lurking. Makwande returns to find a new flat mate in his apartment. Zakwe lays low, missing Lesedi's big moment.

Abednego approaches Gazati with an offer. Makwande's condition continues to drive a wedge between him and Esther, and gets him on the wrong side of Millicent.

Gabriel saves the day but then suffers punishment for defying Mary. Millicent continues to cause havoc between Makwande and Esther. Pastor Duma realizes he also has to level up and get his hands dirty.

Gabriel receives some disturbing news about Dumas plans. Makwande and Millicent start to get along and Simon takes charge of Lesedi's talent.

Mary makes it her mission to make sure that Pastor Duma's bad decisions don't trace back to her. Gabriel is riddled with guilt but finds an unexpected ally in Angelina. Millicent has a huge night ahead of her, and the HOG KIDS are determined to form a band no matter the cost.

All roads lead to Pastor Duma's function and everyone wants to know what Angelina had to do with the lead up to this fateful moment. Gabriel struggles with his conscience and Abednego comes to the rescue.

Mary has a dangerous job for Abednego. Makwande confides his secret in Brian and hides it from Esther. Lesedi makes a plan to cut Simon out of the band.

Gabriel and Abednego grow closer and this threatens Mary's operation. Esther is becoming a third wheel in her own relationship with Makwande. Mncedisi lays out his cards to Mary.

Mary decides to go into a new business venture and she tries to convince Gabriel and Abednego to join her. Makwande and Millicent cross a dangerous line, and Simon decides to play dirty so he can have control.

Mary hits Gabriel where it hurts the most and he has not idea. Millicent claps back in a major way after Esther and Makwande butt heads. Zakwe is put in the awkward position of having to hurt Lesedi's feelings.

The planning for the heist is underway, Gabriel is on top of things but Mamba and Abednego are an unwelcome distraction. Esther finds out about Makwande and Millicent which leads to dire consequences. Lesedi has a chance of saving her performance but Simon becomes an obstacle.

Gabriel's heist has an unexpected witness. Trouble in paradise for Ma.

Mary gets AB to set the last piece of the puzzle to nail an enemy. Gazati gets an unsuspecting surprise. Lesedi starts to stand up for herself, and Esther and Zakwe take notice.

Lesedi's new make-over has a dramatic effect, Makwande puts his life at risk and Mary discovers there may be a loose end in the heist that she had not anticipated.

Mary tells Gabriel to deal with a loose end that could expose their involvement in the heist but Gabriel fears the repercussions as the loose end is too close to home. Esther has her heart broken and Zakwe tries to save a situation but ends up putting a life in danger.

Msizi figures out the identity of one of the robbers. Mary asks Mncedisi to cheer up Esther. Makwande continues to hide his condition and Zakwe gets a one over Simon.

Mary has to use extreme measures to take control of the unwilling staff. Millicent and Noluthando plan to throw a bash to save the Tavern. Mam' Lili is left pining for her love.

Abednego finds himself stuck with a dead body and nowhere to put it. Esther finds there is life after Makwande. Zakwe gets a hint of Mary's love for hogging the spotlight.

Abednego takes care of a loose end and he and Mary grow closer as they discuss Gabriel's future. Makwande finally makes a final and harsh decision about his career and his love life. Zakwe finds a new avenue that he thinks will put him in Lesedi's good books.

Jumima is catapulted into a psychotic episode all centered on a burnt doll. The final nail s put on Esther and Makwande's relationship, when Makwande moves out.

Mary discovers that her tormentor is still out there. She tries to bring Esther and Mncedisi together but Esther refuses to play ball. Zakwe introduces VOG to Veldskoen but it all goes pear-shaped.

Msizi comes to but not as expected, sending Mam' Lili reeling. Veldskoen promises fame and fortune to the VOG. And Mary gives Abednego the ultimate reward.

Abednego tries to keep his latest sexual conquest to himself but Mary has other ideas. Not satisfied with the loss she has suffered, Mam' Lili goes searching for some answers. Having been dropped by the VOG kids, Esther has nobody but herself to focus on.

Gabriel makes a shocking discovery about Pastor Abiola and his family. Abednego's life is in danger after an encounter with a drug boss. Esther takes a leap of faith with her career while Veldskoen pulls stunts to revive his.

While Gabriel searches desperately for the missing Abednego, Mary begins manipulating Esther into pursuing another man. Meanwhile, Millicent has plans to revamp Bra Sol's and her own career, with a little help from Makwande and Noluthando.

Abednego's is rattled when he ends up meeting an enemy he didn't anticipate that spells his certain death.

Mannie tracks down one of the gang members which leads him to his enemy's lair. Esther discovers the truth behind Makwande's behavior. Mary stands up for the VOG Kids and has her own plans for Veldskoen.
