Avoid, nothing to offer
HorrorFilmHellion11 April 2023
I typically like the trapped out in the cold genre but this one is done quite poorly and cheaply. I don't doubt this was a thrilling based on true events tale to tell in real life, but this re-enactment does not do a screen version justice. It is slow, mundane, and poorly acted. The dialogue is iffy, there is no thrill, and it is long and drawn out for no reason other than to burn an hour and twenty minutes. I recommend watching Frozen (2010) over this, or even the low budget The Frozen (2012). Even Disney's Frozen is more thrilling (the abom snowman scene). Another lesser known great is Backcountry (2014) and then of course there is the mega hit The Revenant (2015) if you want to see big budget "inspired by true events". Skip this one, as it has nothing to offer.

Dull, slow paced, monotonous and anything but thrilling...
paul_haakonsen9 April 2023
I picked up the 2022 thriller "Frost" based on the movie's cover. It was a semi-interesting cover, and with it being a movie that I had never seen, nor even heard about, of course I opted to watch it.

Writers James Cullen Bressack and Robert Thompson put together a relatively straight forward script. However, the contents of the storyline was just too thin to properly sustain 80 minutes of movie. And that made watching "Frost" a somewhat boring and disappointing experience. Especially since the movie had a very monotonous narrative, and it was so predictable that you knew what happened long before it did.

"Frost" has a very small cast ensemble, and the movie suffered from that. Not only because the acting performances was questionable, but also because the performers virtually had very little to work with in terms of script, storyline, dialogue and character gallery. I was only familiar with Vernon Wells on the cast list, and he isn't exactly my go-to actor for entertainment.

Director Brandon Slagle delivered a movie that was watchable, but hardly a movie that made a lasting impression. And come tomorrow, I am sure that the memory of "Frost" will be swallowed up by the mists of oblivion. "Frost" is not a movie that I would recommend you to rush out and get to watch. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to watch a second time, as it hardly could sustain the first viewing.

The ending of the movie was just a slap to the face with a cold dead fish, especially after having withstood 80 minutes of the slow paced, dull narrative.

My rating of "Frost" lands on a three out of ten stars.

Horrendous! Disgusting! Do not Watch!
prayashops10 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After watching this movie, with lots of forwarding, I concluded writers wanted to create a film about a mother eating her own (dead) baby. Disgusting!! No other excuse for putting that scene in this movie. No mother would do such a thing! Unrealistic as she was not starving after 3 -4 days without food. Also, she would have died from blood loss, if pain from childbirth, without medicine, didn't kill her.

Other scenes were unrealistic, weak support of that scene including the plodding pace, bad acting, doomed characters, nonsensical action, and stupid ending.

Don't waste time watching! Horrible!

Wolves failed their job
MovieKing105 June 2023
This movie would've been better if it never happened! The script consisted of random grunts. Too bad the wolves didn't eat the girl. Would've been a good dinner for them. The dad was a total moron too, he was good for nothin! Poor acting and poor effects, I'd rather watch my grandma sit on a rocking chair. These characters deserved what they got. What a brutal brutal movie, I hope the team that created this monstrosity never produce another film again for the sake of everyone's sanity and on earth and in the universe. This movie must be burnt in the fires of hell and never played again! Awful!

I'd rather watch the rape scene in 'Hills Have Eyes' on repeat than see the end of his again
ryanriola-7292630 June 2023
I'm not exactly sure what happened to get this chick trapped to where she could become'Froze', as the movie was on in the background Bc my roommate was watching it. I have never made an Imbd review before today. I just had to come here and urge people to steer clear of this disturbing movie. There's one scene that is just gruesome and disturbing. GRUESOME AND DISTURBING it was bad enough that it was happening it just kept on and one, the scene just wouldn't end. I know some of you are thinking, ohh it can't be that bad, or I can watch anything. I'm here to say, you don't want to watch this movie! The horrible dialogue or lack there of, a majority of the dialogue was from a female moaning, whining, weeping, crying, and screaming and if that's not bad enough. It was extremely slow and boring. Do Not go watch this movie Bc of the poor taste scene that I mentioned. It is kinda like Two Girls One Cup how you can never unsee that and how it should never even happened in the first place. Well the scene was like that, I wish Bc had never seen it. Like I said I only caught probably a majority of the movie, but that's what I got out of it. I didn't finish the movie Bc I stopped watching after the extreme poor taste disturbing scene. I absolutely would only recommend this to my worst enemy. Please for your own memories do not watch this movie. You can however suggest it to your worst enemy or suggest it to your mother in law on April Fool's Day.... If you want to be divorced by May 1st. For your own good, just say no, go do drugs instead.

This movie was utterly ridiculous! This movie makes the movie Beast look like an academy award winner. I wish they ran me over so I did not have to watch this. I want my 2hrs back. My brother in law must hate me....he highly recommended it! Thanks Joel for wasting my time. How do movies like this get written? At some.point someone has.to say....this thing is no good and throw in the towel but I guess not! The charactersin this got what they deserved for wasting my time... I GOT OLDER by two hours. The end....what a surprise....it took a left turn for no reason. Hope to God there is no sequel. Do not for the love of God watch this.

Wow

Warning: Spoilers
Directed by Brandon Slagle (Crossbreed), based on James Cullen Bressack's story and adapted by Robert Thompson, Forst stars Vernon Wells as Grant and Devanny Pinn as Abbey, a father and daughter who have not seen one another for years. She wants him to be part of her life as well as the part of the life of the child she is pregnant with. They go fishing and on the way, the car slides off the road, stranding them on the side of a dangerous mountain during a storm.

Grant tries to go for help while Abbey is trapped inside the car, covered in blood and near death thanks to injuries and freezing weather blasting through the smashed windows. As she struggles through madness, she'll do anything to stay alive. Seriously, I looked down for a moment at the end and I was absolutely shocked by this movie. How often does that happen?

Oh yeah - that wolf on the cover totally shows up too. But man, what happens in the third act? You're either going to be so astounded you'll pull up closer or quit this movie in disgust. There's nothing in-between. Trust me. What filth
shazammatlast8 October 2023
And we wonder why America is in the state it's in. Answer? Because her citizens are sick enough to imagine such disgusting perversity as this movie. I went in blind, just thinking I'd watch a survival flick where all turns out fine, daughter and dad rekindle a broken relationship, and a timely rescue underscores the indomitable human spirit. Instead I got half promises about the above listed details and then ripped off with content that seems to have come from some junior high school kid's sick depraved and twisted mind. There is a sickness in America and her art shows it. How dare the filmmakers create this gross movie. How dare they. Shame on your sick evil minds.

Not so bad
maxarah18 April 2023
I've seen a lot of poor films and this one is ok. The acting isn't great but the story kept me interested, there are plenty of times when you say, wtf is going on and why wouldn't you try this?. But in the end it's a movie and on a cheap budget. There are parts that I was shocked at and parts that are pretty brutal, this is one of those films that could have been so good, but it did fall short.

The acting in some parts is a let it down and some of their survival strategies are not on point, the story could have had a lot more to it. Overall I give it a 5/10 as I still enjoy watching survival thriller even if it's a little rough.

Last Part Is A Hell No!
tiskec1 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In my opinion, you can't expect a thrill or fast paced film here. After all, it's about a pregnant woman trapped in a car that's on the ledge of a cliff in the mountains. So, of course it's going to be campy.

The main character is left in the car while her father leaves to go get help. She is pregnant and night is approaching, with subzero temperatures.

After the movie plays out, about 3/4 of the way through, she ends up having the baby in the car. The main character and her father were using two way radios to communicate. Sooner or later, the father just sort of disappeared.

As time passed her baby dies from starving and extreme cold. She begins to also get extremely hungry. Therefore (brace yourselves) eats her dead newborn baby. I couldn't watch it. I put my hands over my eyes like a 6 year old kid scared of something, peeking through my fingers. It made me cringe so much.

I won't give away the ending, but I will say this: it feels like the events in this movie were for nothing.

This is a movie I would watch once. It wouldn't be one I'd go out of the way to purchase. Still, it was....... interesting

5/10.

Literally so garbage
brown-9459214 February 2024
Please do NOT watch this. For the sake of your own sanity. This movie was a waste of my time and I literally didn't even watch it fully. It was so a$$, and the ending was also garbage asf. There's one scene that actually made me nauseous, it was so unnecessary and disturbing. Literally put me in a derealization episode and now I don't feel real😭😭The ending also wasn't even rewarding. It was anticlimactic as he// and depressing, disturbing. I'd rather sit and stare at my wall for 2 hours than watch this movie again, especially that one scene. Please just don't watch this movie unless you want to suffer or something. Just go read a book instead or frolic around in a meadow. Trust me, it will be so much better for your mental state!!💀

I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch the movie, or at least not the first 60-70min out of 80min.

Warning: Spoilers
Why do they do such stupid movies? A very disgusting and tragic end. Just watched. In hindsight, feels like one big set-up to get to the shocking ending. It suffers from repetitiveness and some major plot holes. My biggest issue--if they fell off the road, why does the dad wander through the middle of the woods to find his way to civilization?!? No way that car fell that far from the road. They should have been rescued long before. Also, this movie jumps right to the top of "Movies that a Pregnant Woman Should NOT Watch.". Never Seen A Terrible Movie like this Whole my life. Full of Mistakes. Overacting. Cheapest budget Cheap movie. Waste of Time. At the near end she ate her own baby? I cant believe!!
