I can't believe some of the other viewers commenting and sounding like they support racism. The fact this show stars (and is producer) is a proud black man has some people up in arms, especially when they complain episodes about racism are too political or too far out of context and want instead empty mindless drama. Y'all don't think racism is real and you want people to shut up about it? Get real, open your eyes and start seeing things for what they actually are. There are racists out there doing harm to everyone around them. There are some people also known as police who agree with such racism but yet they don't believe they are consciously going after one or multiple races: they just find them suspicious, arrest them, and try to get them imprisoned to get them off the street. Yes people of all races commit crimes so it's not like everyone is innocent either, but not everyone is a criminal and most do not commit criminal acts.
As for the episode I did find it a strain to just expect one cop who is not Internal Affairs to do that department's job. Logically he should have did as he did and go to his direct command, then almost immediately go to next command up and then to IA: that is the definition and reason for chain of command. I give this episode a 6 based on overall story, reasonable reactions, moments of realistic dialogue (some was preachy as best storytelling is usually show don't tell) and overall performance: it had room for improvement but it made a story arch (beginning, middle, end) that can lead and go hand in hand with the rest of the show.
