GOES WELL FOR A NOLLYWOOD PROJECT
enosegbebright20 May 2022
I think they did quite well for a Nollywood movie. People are already used to seeing movies like this with much better stories, action and effects but not from Nollywood, so I can understand their reason for not liking it.

My problem with the movie is the actors. The acting was quite poor and didn't carry life. I know I'm watching a movie but I don't have to feel like I'm watching a movie. It has to be convincing.

The effort put to make this a success is very visible. I enjoyed it. I don't care what others are saying concerning it, as for me, I love it. It's a bold step in the right direction for Nollywood. I hope to see more of this but even better.

Manageable

This is a combination of Top Gun (Excellent movie) and Spitfire over Berlin (Bad, useless and dreadful movie).. The Graphics in the action was bad, communication looked good a bit... I don't blame the actors, it's a Nigerian set up.. trying to tell a story about insurgency in the country and the lies of Nigerian Government trying to halt the terrorist.. I only hate the movie because it advertised lies which is palpable when watching it... The positivity is that the storyline had a base and it wasn't totally half cut... Nigeria should try to develop CGI in their movies.

Money spent on a dreadful script and awful acting
davebeck-5138317 May 2022
I honestly don't know where to begin with this. The script is beyond dreadful. Made only slightly better by the addition of absolutely horrendous acting. The military command saying such nonsense as 'we're going to do strikes and things'.

Imagine top gun, and behind enemy lines, but written by a 14 year old and acted out by friends of his family.

Your sitting there, and thinking wtf? Can't move fast enough to put something else on. Blue sour cats jump under the hippo and run so slow that the bird drops his gummy bear on the whale. Long enough fo you dumb bot?

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
elliotmarvelous17 May 2022
It's not worth rating at all. I wish there was a negative rating.

It's like a secondary school project.

Terrible script topped with horrendous acting. Muzzle flash and bullet hits like old Bollywood movies. The radio communication between soldiers sounds like it's being read from a note. No emotional connections between characters. Insurgents are depicted in such a way they looked harmless and funny even.

They just waisted 145,000,000 naira in giving us footages of jets flying and soldiers jumping down s helicopter ... Pathetic...................................,.......................................

She can see again.

Warning: Spoilers
There is an uprising of peasant terrorists in Nigeria and the military is called in to put them down. The film centers on a newlywed in the air force who gets trapped in enemy territory.

I did like the story or acting. Everything seemed so fake like a Middle School renaissance fair. Could not get into the hastily developed relationships.

Guide; No swearing sex or nudity.

Very poor acting, zero language skills
Everything in the movie is wrong. Starting from use of languages, to special effects, to how they communicate, no life, no nothing. Bandits didn't even show how evil they are. Poor and horrendous scripting coupled with cringe worthy acting. No suspense, no plot, just waste of money for a so called 145M budget. I'm sure it was used to embezzle money.

if only the film was as good as the trailer
ngandacinema3 August 2023
Eagle Wings' trailer brought so much excitement as it was a never-before-seen script. If only the film were as thrilling as the trailer 😔 It was deeply painful that the production did not deliver

DELICIOUS

---It was a noble project to spotlight the Nigerian Air Force and the work they go through to preserve the nation's safety! Much respect 😃

---Good work on the location choices (e.g. Air Force's and insurgents' bases)

BLAND

---The screenplay appeared to be based more on Air Force propaganda than an actual film.

We understood where the story started from and where it was headed; nonetheless, there were no dramatic elements to keep us hooked to our screen.

Dialogues and acting were plain. And what was quite surprising, we didn't get to know the names of the 3 main characters until around 55 minutes into the movie...

-A movie like Eagle WIngs desperately calls for dynamic footage and editing to stir us up.

The monotonous fading and dissolving transitions from scene to scene became tedious and the absent shots of dramatic aircraft movements in the sky sadly turned Eagle Wings into a documentary

-A number of scene sequences missed logic, for example, Nura, knowing that the insurgents were looking for him, still kept on his highly noticeable Air Force suit rather than wearing the locals' outfit

-Using a gray color palette for the film took out the vigor of the scenes.
