Yes it is a remake of The Night Of starring Riz Ahmed and John Turturro which won a number of awards. This Korean version though is not bad though. Kim Soo Hyun carried a strong performance and the guy who played his Attorney. Good job overall !

I believe it would have caused more momentum and worldwide success if it was broadcasted on Netflix.
The story, the filming, the scenes and the acting are outstanding.
I will highlight few things that made me consider this drama differently, one actor who is really underestimated for his brilliant performance Yang Kyung Won, the prison bully.
Starting from the 1st episode till the end, his performance was natural and outstanding.
The medical condition that followed the lawyer and its relation to the events of the drama was a brilliant add.
The changes to Kim behavior and personality through the drama were subtle and understandable.

Kim Soo Hyun, who is known as Strictly Selected Scripts did not disappoint us. He played the role of college student Hyun Soo in the play. In addition to the emotional transition, he was very delicate in the performance of the characters. The setting also allows people to immediately enter the logic of the story. This could be another career breakthrough for him. Look forward to next episode. Since this is the first original drama of the Korean OTT platform Coupang Play. It is not broadcast on Tv or cable stations, so there are fewer restrictions on content.

Kim Soo Hyun never fails to amaze me with his acting. A league of his own. He really has a way to make the viewers feel his pain. Besides great acting that other casts also deliver, it is the cinematography that I love,very beautiful.

Honestly I did not go into this drama with much expectations but wow I was blown away in the first episode itself! From cinematography to background score everything makes you understand the scenario better. The storyline so far is quite gripping with the whole cast delivering their job very well. From the police officer to the lawyer (ChaSeungWon) everyone is so good that they rightfully play with your emotions. The lead actor kim soohyun does a an excellent job in portraying naive college kid. I'm glad he didn't copy other actors from previous versions and bought his own version into this. His performance really hits you in the gut.. cannot wait for more epis to come!

Just 2 episodes in and I'm already hooked. I haven't watched the original one but seeing this version actually this good, I might see it after this. Great ensemble casts, SUPERB ACTING, i cry when Kim Soo Hyun cries, the pacing is just so right and I was really blown away with the cinematography. Usually I don't like this kind of genre but was surprised I am really enjoying this!

Kim Soo Hyun did an amazing job! It's my first time seeing him acting in a film since I don't often watch Korean films. So happy I watched this film, definitely in my top 10 favorite shows now! Just found out he's the highest paid Korean actor also, WELL DESERVED! I thought the rest of the cast also did an amazing job. I could feel every emotion out of every character and it sparked hate against the prosecutors for being so heartless and only considering one suspect when there was many others that could have committed the crime. That's how much I was immersed into it because I really thought Kim was innocent the whole time.

I really like Korean films, but after I watched eps 1 in the 10th minute of this film, the originality was no longer there. If you like crime films you will know that this film is actually titled (the night of) the American version in 2016, I do not belittle the value of this film but I really uphold the originality of someone's work.

We all know Kim Soo Hyun can deliver every character he portray.. even I know how good acting he is.. but every single time.. just " wow" everything has a reason.. this is how he became highest paid actor of Korea.. highly recommended the show.. amazing storyline with great actors.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching One Ordinary Day. I see people saying its similar to the UK one, of course it will be similar because this is an adaptation of that film. I love this Korean version so much. Kim Soo Hyun portrayed the role of Kim Hyun Soo so well that I also cried when he cried, that's how good he is in acting. So excited for the upcoming episodes.

Having watched the UK and US version I was eager to see whether or not the Korean remake lived up to its predecessors and all I can say this will not disappoint. Yes the story is the same, however the slight changes in the characters makes it more interesting. Stellar casting and amazing cinematography. Kim Soo Hyun has already shown us the fear and emotions running through Hyun Soo, let's see where he takes the character over the following 6 episodes.

Kim soo hyun is indeed the Daesang king plus adding Cha seung won whose a good actor as well ... the others who will rate this as low is subjective and a hater of KSH .. FYI this is an adaptation of A british Drama which has many awards internationally... haters gonna hate but you will miss the opportunity to watch a masterpiece.

It's safe to say that Kim Soo Hyun Delivers EVERY SInGLE TIME . Another brilliant performance from one of the most talented actors in South Korea. I had to take a deep breath at the start of every episode as the director takes us through fast paced story telling . In the first episode , kim soo Hyun showed his maturity and depp understanding of his character . Every inch of his body became his character . We feel his pain and desperation through the screen . Cha Seung Won is brilliant here too ... using body language in slowly revealing what sort of character we have in front of us . Can't wait for the other 6 episodes !

It was a good series but that's because I stayed till the end. I was really close to giving it up because of how slow things were going till about half the season (yes, there's a very sudden change of events at first when the murder happens but after that, it moves pretty slowly). Let's just say I only kept it going because it was much more informative than enjoyable/"entertaining". My only interest until episode 5 was to see how a murder case is handled and how things are in prison, so if I was aware, I definitely would have stopped watching by then. It was somewhat boring and I kind of "pressured" myself to keep watching it, to learn about those stuff. My interest began to rise after the 4th-5th episode where the plot actually starts to become more interesting and we are introduced to more suspects. I really liked the lawyer's character but I found his condition to lead to a dead end. Like, they wasted so much time showing us his "disease" on his feet, only for it to cause some rushes on his body that affected almost nothing on the plot (yes, we saw the newbie lawyer take the first chair on one episode bc of how bad the main lawyer felt, but it wasn't something terrific, they could have "evolved" it much more). There was so much build up and it led nowhere. Hopefully it'll get a season 2 so that this whole "disease" thing doesn't go down the drain.
The acting was amazing from all the actors so I have no complaint on that.
It was a decent series but I believe they could have made it better (mostly in the beginning) and quite shorter if they removed some of the useless stuff they included.

The series starts really good. Kim Soo Hyun did great job in his role. He was definately the show stealer. Concerning the plot, there were some good points but also some slow and unnecessary moments too. To my mind , the last episode was too weak compare with the whole series.

Due to Hyunsoo's curiosity and impulse brought him a big storm in his life. I was totally immersed in the story and wanted to know what would happen next.

This drama is one of the best drama in 2021. The actor acting is phenomenal, the cinematography is beautiful and the plot is so good. The actor who portray hyun soo character plays vey well. It's only two episodes now but it's definitely my favorite drama. Of 2021.
