A good children's show
asadpineapple5 September 2022
This show played a significant role in my development as child, incentivated using my imagination and made me want to be a kid.

Rewatching it now, the animation is not as good as remembered, but the show has an interesting art direction, with each episode feeling unique and creative with its concepts, even through the time constraints.

The writing is good, the characters act like real children and have distinct personalities and go through their struggles accordingly. The voice acting is also very good, at least for Portuguese.

Overall, it affected the way I perceived the world as a child, made me want to be nice to the other kids and taught me interesting lessons.

good show

Its unfair that the two other reviews are bashing the show for having one bad episode, meanwhile they probably watch or let they're kids watch spongebob which is full of bad episodes btw much worse than this show but anyways this show actually had some great lessons and great episodes yes lilly was a snob and had very little to no redeeming qualities but that's not a reason to bash the show when again loud house has lola and lori and lynn. I liked the show and it has a surprising amount of nostalgia to me even though I was a bit above the age target. It's a shame it got cancelled but that's life nothing I can do but move on.

This show is my childhood!

Warning: Spoilers
When treehouse back then was taking off old shows from the network it was not getting as much viewers on TV. They would shows shows that would suck, but when I saw the teasers, I though it would have been annoying (Because of Bongo's voice) But I gave it a chance and watched it. When I saw the intro and the episodes of the show. I actually really liked it! It's really good to teach kids to use your imagination. Now the characters them let me tell about, Yuri who is one of the main characters in the show I can totally find him relatable. He is very smart, always happy and very independent, and even his cute laugh would always make me smile. In fact he even became my favorite character in the show. Even Yuri's elephant Golias is very likeable too he is so funny, even when Yuri is sad or lonely Golias is always with Yuri. That's what make Yuri a great character. Now for Matt he is great, he is that energetic kid that loves to play sport, sometime he can be curious and even gets in to trouble sometime he still means well in his heart. His kangaroo friend Bongo (Who I thought was annoying but actually very funny after watching the first episode) is very entertaining, and does know when to give a laugh. I could truly understand why they made Bongo really funny, because he is voiced by my boy Rick Miller, who I recently talked to. And he does a great job providing the voice. Finally there is Lili, she's ok. I understand that one person hated her because they have been saying "That she's too bossy!" I do kinda agree disagree. I understand Lili can get on other people's nerves, I also understand that she can can be over the top annoying when she doesn't want to admit something, but in the end she does learn her lesson on what not to do. They got Addison Holley to do the voice even though I really despite her in PJ Masks and other shows and movies, and to be honest this is the hardest I have seen her acted in this show. Now her friend Nessa is ok, she is that happy, optimistic, cheerful giraffe who is voiced by the same actress who did Princess Presto in Super Why, but there would have been sometime that when Nessa has been sometimes over too happy I keep think that Nessa might transform into Princess Presto out of nowhere. But everything else, I think Nessa is ok, and fine. The only thing I have to say about her. But now that I've talked about the characters. The plot and the animation is really good, it was going so good until season 2 the only negative thing about the series is the animation change in season 2. But other than that everything in this show is so great! I recommend your kids to watch this!

Childhood show

I would watch this show as a kid and loved it, I spent so long looking for this show because I was like what was this show I keep remembering about! The character I remembered most was the elephant I found it funny that I remembered the elephant the most. I found their adventures fun and exiting as a kid and I think it helped with my creativity. I don't remember much but I remember loving this show and I was very sad when they took it off Netflix. If I remember correctly the elephant was my favorite character since he was one of the ones I most remember and he looks funny now. It was a great show for its time.

Cute but not useful.

This program is not highly suitable for educational value. The so- called "lessons" they try to teach the kids are mostly bull. I saw an episode in particular where they were convincing one of the children that he wasn't being a good friend because he wouldn't do what they were telling him to do. Okay, no. I do NOT want my kids thinking that they're not "cool" or a "good friend" because they won't give in to peer pressure. I'm not happy with the messages being portrayed by these characters. And don't even get me started on Lili. This child is such a spoiled little brat. I can't believe her attitude is considered to be acceptable for a 3-4 year old kid. I hate that they always seem to be bossing around their invisible friends and treating them so poorly, another lesson I don't want my kids learning. 90% of what goes on throughout these programs are very defiant and "no no no" behaviour. I just wish they could actually put something truly valuable in the show without going completely over the top about it.
