Best Season yet
Fate: The Winx Saga concludes its second season with a closure for the main drama involving Sebastian and a larger conflict on the horizon. The kids use their magic together, with wings and a call-back to the animated series, which negates the earlier inner conflict about not killing Sebastian. The attack on the school is resolved, and Bloom's Dragon Flame powers are used to close the portal. If renewed for another season, the kids may find a magic to open the portal and bring Bloom back. Bloom's mother may also be the main antagonist, setting up another cliched confrontation. However, the second season has been average at best, with plot contrivance and holes, and the romance feels half-baked. If there is a third season, it's hope it improves over the current one. In Episode 7 of Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2, the scrapers launch an assault on a school, ambushing students and knocking down Flora. Beatrix and Sebastian intervene, while Musa is hidden. Flora is taken to the basement with other fairies and Specialists. Sebastian gains control of some Specialists in Alfea. The group converges on the outskirts of town to devise a plan to fight back against Sebastian and stop the Blood Witches. Sky, trapped in confinement, escapes when a guard arrives. Sky fights through the school and regroups with other Specialists, but the gang retreats due to the overwhelming number of Blood Witches. Silva instructs Sky to return to the groundskeeper's cabin, leaving him vulnerable. Musa manages to break Flora free from her captors, while Bloom faces a difficult situation when Sebastian demands she meet him without telling anyone. With Grey and Sky's lives in danger, she has little choice but to fight. Beatrix and Stella work undercover to uncover Sebastian's plans. They discover an entity in the Realm of Darkness that can raise the dead, aiming to bring everyone from Aster Dell back to life. Sebastian needs the Dragon Flame to open it, which he possesses with Bloom. The conduit must be closed from the other side, and Bloom's presence with Sebastian and Sky's leverage is expected to cause significant problems. Bloom agrees to channel her power into the crystal for Sebastian to take it in. Meanwhile, Specialists and Fairies gather to prepare a strike. Flora distills a pheromone of her magic to attract scrapers and use Eldwynn to sacrifice herself and kill all the scrapers simultaneously. Terra is shocked, but Flora's plan seems the only way. Sebastian tells Bloom about her past, revealing that Bloom's mother had the same Dragon Flame magic due to being in stasis for 1000 years. Bloom, born during an ancient war, loses control and kills thousands, destroying her good will. Feeling guilty, she puts herself in the Realm of Darkness, causing Bloom to be stuck in stasis. Bloom transfers her magic into the crystal, while Beatrix frees Sky from his binds and destroys the crystal. Sebastian flings her across the room, causing Beatrix to slam her head against the floor, causing blood to ooze out. Bloom loses control and conjures her Dragon Flame. Sky remains alive, allowing Bloom to focus on her anger. The fairies use their magic together, sprouting magical wings and killing Sebastian. The killing of Sebastian four episodes ago could have solved many problems. Bloom discovers a mysterious magic mass in the basement, which is a conduit to the Realm of Darkness. Sebastian had enough magic to open it before his death, and the only way to close it is to be on the other side. Sky attempts to convince Bloom to stop her plan, but she's unable. The group leaves, and Bloom heads alone. The next morning, the other kids find their letters and despair. Bloom wanders through the Realm, finding a mysterious castle with her mother inside. She walks towards it, and a shadowy presence watches Stella from afar.
