Not the best but

Warning: Spoilers
At least the baby wasn't Owen's . Honestly I never thought it was . No way are they going to settle him down with his ex and a baby. He's the lead and they wouldn't tether him down to such a domestic situation.

Getting more contrived each week

Warning: Spoilers
I used to like this show but in season 2 it's going in the wrong direction. Own's ex Gwen was brought into Season 2 as Owen's ex for reasons I don't understand (the characters have little to no chemistry), and now we're supposed to suspend disbelief that the cancer- & chemo-surviving Owen got his not-likely-to-conceive ex-wife accidentally pregnant? I'm not sure why they felt it so important for these characters to have a forced bond per the TV pregnancy cliché, but this whole storyline is clearly forced and not believable. We're also on the 2nd set of Captain Vega's twins--different actresses--within the same season, and they're not great actors so the scenes at Vega's home with the always cooking Dad are very boring. And the emergencies are getting more and more contrived. Sorry, I'd cross the seven seas for Rob Lowe on a TV show, but in the near future it may not be for this one if they don't get their act together. The focus should be on the emergencies and the crew instead of these uninspiring, unbelievable relationships. The writers should take a cue from the Grace & Judd Ryder relationship in the show. That one feels real and interesting and it works, but in season 2 they thought it wasn't enough I suppose.

A boring episode
Avidviewer-028472 March 2021
I've watched the series since it started and I've enjoyed it. However the writing in season 1 was better, too much family drama in season 2. I watch it for the different types of emergency calls they get, not for the family drama. I really don't care about Owen and his ex and Tommy and her family. With the other characters we get small peaks into their family life which is just enough, now it feels like we're getting bathed in family drama.

Just one episode, I'll keep watching.

Dumb

I agree. That's the first thing I said too. The hospital would have provided scrubs or a hospital gown. This is getting as bad as Station 19.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was like a long slow death. I don't care about the stupid little coffee cups or the girl's black belt or the ugly Japanese bowl or the damn baby that was fathered by someone who hasn't even been on the show. I haven't liked Lisa Edelstein in anything she's been in. Now that it's somebody else's kid, I hope that means she's leaving.

It only gets 3 stars because of TK in his underwear. 😍
