The Equalizer is settling into its stride. Thankfully story arcs are forming for the rest of the series which will add substance to the whole series alongside the standalone episodes.

Nothing really thrilling in this episode. The story is bland and mostly solidifies the establishment of roles and relationships of and between characters. Very little action, if at all. But delivers on the drama and mystery. Still waiting to see if things will go into a higher gear at some point.

So an overweight grandmother is supposed to be the eqaulizer? Was the casting agent smoking something, or was it done as a joke. Either way this show is a disaster, go woke and get broke, how many of these shows and movies need to be cancelled, flop at the box office before they get the message

McCall finds corruption in high places as she tries to clear the name of an escaped convict.
Dale Aldridge was convicted of some burglaries and a killing but it was all based on very flimsy evidence.
With no more appeals left for him. A desperate Dale has busted out of prison to get close to his son who has gone a little wild.
There is less action in this episode. Maybe the producers have realised that Queen Latifah is not exactly built for action.
It is really unravelling a mystery. A possible crooked prosecutor that leads to a conspiracy.
McCall and Dante establish a working relationship with some mutual distrust.
At least the main story had some interest. It was laughable though when Dale talks to his wayward son who calls the cops on his dad.
Although it was wrapped up a little too neatly. That is the way of episodic television though.
I lose all interest when McCall talks to her daughter. I think even the actresses are uninterested.
