Nice show that is an easy watch
suego-492937 July 2022
While there is nothing fantastic about this show, it does have an interesting concept and is a pleasant way to spend some TV time. The characters are all enjoyable and the actors do a good job with their characters. The writing could be a bit better, but if it goes to a season two hopefully that will improve.

This is not a laugh a minute sitcom, but it is enjoyable and you most likely will get a few chuckles along the way. Nothing wrong with that. If I want non-stop laughing I'll watch a comedy routine.

Give it a try and stick with it. It does get better as it goes on.

I'm actually laughing out loud
amandafarina-954017 July 2022
Y'all are haters. This is such an easy watch and I'm laughing at every episode. The writing is so clever! Loving the cast as well. Huge fan Of new fresh faces getting a shot and owning the character and it's great to see some familiar faces that give the added flare.

Light hearted comedy, very chill.
animegamer4207 July 2022
The show is a perfect example of a fun concept not taking a show too seriously. Almost all the characters are pretty likable. The humor is laugh out loud which is great. I find the show to be pretty relaxing too. The women dont make the men look stupid. Theres no propaganda or subliminal political influences which is almost unheard of in modern comedy. Its a campy show so if you dont like corny jokes its not for you, but if you think banter is cute then youll like the show.

Not usually a binge-watcher
rshimomura10 July 2022
I usually don't sit in front of the TV and binge watch a series of shows. If I like something, I'll savor it over a period of sometimes several days. I'm also not particularly fond of characters who are mediums. But Maggie was different. She was likeable, humble, a little self-absorbed, but in a good way. She's concerned about her friends, family, and professional relationships, as well as her clients, sometimes to a fault. I bonded with virtually all the main characters. And there was some romantic tension ... a will-they or won't they vibe. My wife heard me yell at the end of the season, "No! NO! What just happened!!??" The only way I'll find out is when the second season arrives, hopefully tomorrow!

It's good.

So far it's a good show. Easy to watch, and laugh out loud. Not sure why the low ratings. I like the psychic aspect of it, but I was also a huge fan of Psych.

REALLLLLY GOOD!
McEtheCoolest10 July 2022
I was actually amazed how relatable this show is. I was expecting a so so comedy to have on as background noise and was more than pleasantly surprised. VERY well written show, with charming cast, and laugh out loud jokes with fantastic delivery.

Some scenes caught me off guard with how relatable they were! A show that nails word for word the thoughts/hardships of a 30 something's human experience is mystifying; (i.e family dynamic, expectations vs. Reality, "the apps") all masterfully done. Well done writers! Many more seasons please! I haven't even finished yet and am in love!

It sneaks up on you.
rockinwaffles10 July 2022
I put this on because I saw Nichole Sakura was in it and I liked her in Superstore. Then I noticed the rest of the cast and kept watching. This show is basically That's So Raven if it was written by Chuck Lorre and Raven was a white Anthropologie model. The whole tone of the first episode is off-putting in that it's extremely sentimental but feels like there's supposed to be a laugh track even though there's not. By no means is this show brilliant in it's writing or acting and Maggie's personality is extremely one dimensional and just that she's hot and has good clothes, but this show is uncomplicated and sweet and I can't stop watching it. I told a friend about it the day I started watching and she can't stop watching it either.

Great show! What a pleasant surprise.
dranoosh-398-37746010 July 2022
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! A little comedy with some mild drama and magic, well written and great cast! Love the realism but with magic of and throwing in some sitcoms style comedy into a TV show comedy. And the fact they have the realistic gay and lesbian and straight stories without pushing an agenda. Such refreshing fun but real outlook with a magic twist on many races and colors and sexual orientation, FINALLY! Great watch!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Fast moving and fun show. Lively banter and pretty people / settings make for a relaxing escape from a very stressful world outside.

It appears people who I can guess are hateful are giving it low scores. Sad. Don't push your anger on others just trying to relax.

I'm actually enjoying this and don't see how it could begin to dissapoint
orcinussr6 July 2022
-I do see now how that's kinda a funny thing to say about a show about a psychic but... Honestly I'm drawn to the writer so if a show is written by someone with 'chops', I'm gonna be alot more inclined to see it thru, cause after all isn't it ALL about the writing?

Promising however...
KalpeshHemant422 April 2023
It's an ok series with a good overall cast especially the supporting cast. I do love Nicole Sakura from Superstore and Angelique Cabral is always stellar in everything she is in! Ray Ford deserves his own show, every second he is on screen is an absolute delight!

I suppose the 'Maggie' premise is cute but I personally think the lead actress isn't the right choice for this show, the title of the show is not great either and the writing could be so much sharper.

I was really distracted by the lighting - you can obviously tell most indoor scenes are on a soundstage, the lighting is very daytime soap opera.

The theme music used at the start, credits and in segues just does not go with the show - feels like the music from an informercial or some drug company advertising their meds.

'Maggie' could have been so much better.

Pity.

What a fun watch!
debbiejoon7 July 2022
I saw this come up on my Hulu page and thought I'd try it out. I love the lead actress, she was in four weddings and a funeral TV show. Easy to watch and funny. Give it a chance, I got through all the episodes in one day! Love all the supporting cast and hope that there is a season two!!!

like the characters
SnoopyStyle27 October 2022
Maggie (Rebecca Rittenhouse) is a psychic unwilling to start relationships due to her ability to see their future problems. Her parents (Kerri Kenney-Silver, Chris Elliott) are supportive after years of disbelief. Louise (Nichole Sakura) is her best friend. Angel (Ray Ford) is her mentor. Ben (David Del Rio) gets a reading, and she foresees their relationship. She rejects his advances out of fear. A while later, he and his on-and-off-and-on-again girlfriend Jessie (Chloe Bridges) move into the apartment above her. There is his sister Amy (Angelique Cabral) and boyfriend Dave (Leonardo Nam).

I like these characters. I like these actors. I like adorable Rittenhouse. I like this group of awkward friends. The production is not good enough. It's lesser TV on hulu. I have to assume that all the networks rejected it and hulu found some spare change in the couch to fund a cheap season. It's a cute premise, but that's not enough to drive interest. It needs superior production to keep going and it doesn't have that. It looks flat.

Just another PC romcom
RandomTard1 September 2022
The first thing that I have to say, or rather ask, is who in the flipping name of all that is unholy gave this show a sci-fi tag? That is just way beyond ridiculous and wrong.

What this show is, is a silly feelgood romcom about pretty and rich people whose lifes are filled with parties and finding a girl-/boyfriend. Apparently they all have won the lottery, since that place must be expensive as hell and none of them seem to have any real jobs that would explain how they can afford their lifestyle. Or maybe they don't need to pay for anything because they are all so pretty.

This really is not actually a good show, the acting is very uneven with the lead being the weak link. The jokes are not that funny and the characters are written to be way too clever and their lines don't feel real - they are way too well thought for someone to actually speak that way in a conversation.

But there's something for everyone or at least that is what they tried and there's nothing to be offended by, or at least that is what they tryharded.

lovely good vibes
I loved it! It has really good vibes and the actors are perfectly casted. It's a show to relax and feel good. Also the age. Is perfect as it's not another teen show and thus has the potential to become a fav series though. If there's more than one season, what I really hope for <3.

Maggie feels like an original idea trapped in an outdated, overused template.
talkteav6 July 2022
A cookie-cutter series, with each scene feeling repetitive to past shows I have already seen, like a thirty-minute deja vu. Why watch reruns of Modern Family when you have Black-ish, why miss Pivoting when you have Maggie. Disney, Hulu, and ABC shows, always have these great twists that end up playing out in the same mirrored fashion. The main character is written in a way where she is such a sad person that laughing at a funny topic about her made me feel like a bully. The other characters are lovable, with a few funny moments in each episode that helped to keep the show somewhat entertaining. Maggie is a show that I like, but don't love, which is disappointing because it could and should be so much more.

Feel Good Show

This show is amazing! Great story and characters. I always feel so happy at the end of each episode. Hopefully this show continues! I will be so sad if there's only one season.

Fun Show
nspence0013 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I thought Maggie was easy to watch, fun, raw, funny, simple, and quirky. I would love another season that focuses on Ben and Maggie. I feel bad for Jessie. Maybe Jessie and Daniel should fall in love. I want to see more about Ben and Maggie and their life together. I was sad that Jessie ruined their rehearsal dinner. She should have waited until after. We need another season for closure. We need Bens and Maggie's love story. I also wanted to see more of Maggie mentor the high schooler. I don't know.

Give us more episodes now. Please and thank you.

I need 45 more characters. Joy to the world. Should I rewatch It?

Better than I thought!
jessdelong-250727 July 2022
This is better than I thought! It's funny and interesting, a good story. It's modern but not the annoying kind of modern. All the actors were a great choice, and seems they have chemistry! I hope this isn't the only season.

A Good Time
tinaterescsik6 November 2022
For me, Maggie's outfits and Nichole Sakura (Louise) are the best parts of this show. It is entertaining yet predictable. Girl makes quick decisions based on very limited information and then is shocked when more info appears and decision turns out to have been bad. I find it hard to root for Maggie. Louise on the other hand, I am here for her journey to find love! Put that girl on the bachelorette! Angel as well is another great character who acts as Maggie's mentor. I always had a huge smile on my face when he was onscreen. I watched this show with a glass of wine or two and had a good time. Would recommend, easy watch.

Lame jokes
jenchristianrn7 July 2022
Obviously the show only has ONE writer Bc every character has the same personality all giving lame jokes. Each character does not have their own personality which is a huge disappointment. Too many LAME jokes by every character. Just a wast of time.

Very well made show
faster_master10 July 2022
Great acting, dialogues, script, actors. There is not a single thing bad about this show. It is about longing, loneliness and being socially misfit but it is also about love, friendship, and partying. It is such a perfect arrangement of everything emotional, funky and quirky.

I fully enjoyed it and finished in 2 days.

Deducting one point for long meandering in unnecessary stories once in a while.

Good
jkb201213 September 2022
When I heard about this show I thought that it was interesting because even though The series is predictable It is a Interesting Take on a psychic that has powers But You can kind of see where it's gonna go and I am a massive fan of this kind Of story and genre The cast was good And I thought that that it would end and on a massive Cliff hanger and it really Doesn't even though hulu canceled canceled this TV series I would still recommend it and it's worth checking out My favorite kind of shows are the ones where they are about Relationships and you could relate to the characters. The show was very funny.

Nothing original
handycapt118 July 2022
I really wanted to like this show. As the lame jokes and poor delivery began to add up my enthusiasm waned.

Allow me to explain lame - a setup line was delivered and 99% of the time I could predict the response. No complexity. No real thought into crafting new humor.

The characters didn't seem real. No development, again, no complexity.

Just la la la la la deliver my lines, I'm always the same, la la la la.

Great romcom
lexisingsforyou10 July 2022
I love the cast, I love that Maggie is a psychic and I love that you don't know exactly what's going to happen. It's a fun twist and you really get to fall in love with the main character. I watch way too many romcoms and 9/10 are like the rest so I like that this doesn't feel like something I've watched a million times before.
