Well, the soundtrack's not bad

If you can find acting worse than this, then it's being done on purpose. Bad acting, bad script, un-endearing characters, bad story.

Family gets their RV stuck in a two-inch hole on dry, solid ground (for real), then Gramps gets a near-lethal wound from a flying nail.

Stupid woman then panics and runs through a forest...

Oh, forget it.

Obviously this film is not going to be a 10/10, but I can say for myself that it did at least keep my attention the whole time. The story is interesting, acting is subpar at best. The film however leaves many questions unanswered and definitely feels like they should've added at least another 5-10 minutes showing the aftermath of everything that occurred.

To round it up..This movie isn't the worst thing to have on and to give a chance at least. I believe its a solid 4/10.

Bad, bad, bad

Bad acting, plot, and dialog. The mother's "life isn't easy, you have to work hard for everything" responses get old really fast. The camper gets stuck in a hole that wasn't there before. The grandfather is supposed to know about camping, yet he doesn't know how to set up a tent, all of their equipment is brand new, and he blocks the remote road by just stopping and setting up camp. The way they try to get the camper unstuck is laughable, and his injury (while standing directly in line with the wheels) is impossible.

I stopped watching when the rural "inhabitant" started painted his captive boy's toenails. No thanks.

BAD in every department

Where do you begin with such a movie as this? The story, screenplay, plot - whatever you call it doesn't make it any better, the so-called acting was in most cases peurile. I always wonder HOW any of these people make a living! Plot - totally nonsensical and it was played as if neither the director, writer or producer had made up their own minds if it was a black comedy or drama or what genre it actually fitted into. It certainly wasn't TERROR or HORROR. Was there ANYTHING that the character Emily wasn't afraid of? Didn't like blood, descending into the basement, guns. Just the type of person you want to stake your life on in a life-threatening situation and every time a situation cropped up that she didn't like she went and found herself a cupboard to hide in.

This is one that needs to be given a wide berth.

A family opts to get away in the forest. Grandpa drives them to a remote location. The owner of the land tells them they must leave ASAP. Circumstances prevent that and grandpa gets injured and needs to go to the hospital and the vehicle is stuck. The daughter goes to look for help and discovers a creepy family. Not Texas Chainsaw creepy, but creepy enough. This results in deadly confrontations.

The script never gave the actors a chance. And what few chances they had, they phoned in. Just a me-too cabin in the woods film that misses the mark.

Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

Don't believe the 'good reviews'. This is Extremely difficult to watch.

I am always curious about the high reviews some of these *horrible* movies get. I often feel like maybe they watched a different movie with a similar title and got confused. And then I think that, perhaps, they were involved in the production of the movie. Or a family member of someone in the movie. There really aren't any more reasons that make sense to me. Particularly in this case.

This middle school film project starts off dumb and goes down hill quickly.

The first thing that makes zero sense is grampa's choice of camping locations. It's simply idiotic to think you can just drive out in the country and pick a spot on someone else's property.

Then, the RV get stuck on flat, solid ground.

The story isn't horrible, honestly, but the production is just garbage with some of the worst acting I've seen recently and I just watched Zombeavers last night.

I admit, I hit the fast forward button several to many times to skip through some of the horrible dialog but I believe I caught most of the salient plot points.

Dumb

I don't mind a low budget movie about a family going camping in the woods and meeting with a bad guy who tells them to get off their land.

However, the actions taken by the various people (especially the mother) are so illogical and silly that the movie just becomes totally irritating. Awful script and bad acting.

If we look past the low budget and shoddy acting what annoyed me the most was the fact that the harness they are using to keep the son and woman captive has buckles under the armpit and on the shoulders on both side so why on earth the need to smash down plasterboard and cut the harness off is thought to be an energy saving way to survive is beyond me.

Then the fact that the granddaughter was meant to be protecting the grandad but left him on the sofa while she hid in the toilet when she's the one with a gun and could have shot the kid that you just saw kill someone is yet again a mystery to me.

Definitely wouldn't bother watching.

Saw this a while ago... don't remember much. It's that stupid. I seem to have survived the fright scenes, no residual ptsd! I also recall the grandfather being the worst actor among the amateur cast.

Just more stupid people running around in the woods for no reason. I just wanted them all to die so I could get on with my life. Man...this was God aweful. Do not watch !like I did. Director and all involved should be ashamed.

Entertaining

I didn't want to write a review but after seeing the low rating and the strange reviews that call this film the worst ever, I had to write my own. Normally you get it the other way round, lots of stars for a nothingburger.

This is what puzzled me.

Anyway, here is an honest review.

Low budget, yes. Bad acting, not really, they were all doing their best and that wasn't too bad at all. It wasn't Shakespear but hey.

Cinematography was professional, didn't look like filmed by a group pf mates with a phone.

Storyline was never boring, it was flawed in quite a few places but that didn't stop me from wanting to watch the lot. I felt like watching a Punch and Judy show, shouting at the people in the film when they did silly things and slapping my forehead when they didn't listen.

It was actual fun to watch.

Not a serious, dark horror, more a light hearted but quite entertaining thriller.

The good people were likeable, the bad ones unlikeable. You can't really guess who is telling the truth or why things are the way they are, which keeps you on edge.

I have seen bad films, unwatchable ones, ones where I stopped watching 10 min before the end because it didn't matter. This wasn't one of them.

If you watched it one day out of boredom, you wouldn't have wasted your time. To compare it to food, if 'The Ring' would be Lobster, this would be a Burger meal. Cheap and cheerful, tasty enough and fun.

One thing though, what the heck happened to the boy?

I am always annoyed at the argument that a low budget movie can not be judged by the standards as big money productions. I strongly disagree with that. The inconsistencies throughout the movie and lack of acting talent where appalling and have nothing to do with the budget. Absolutely not worthwhile to give it a shot. I regret having spent the time on it.

Worse than waste

Acting without a doubt horrible, lacklustre performance from all actors. Combine that with an inconsistent, unimaginitive plot and you've got yourself an execrable 80 minutes.

My favorite stupid scene:

Emily confronted by Howard regarding Helen. Helen behind Howard armed with a piece of wood. Helen indicates to Emily to not alert Howard. Emily complies, aware of the situation. Helen moves forward, assuming a striking position. A solid 8 seconds later, Helen hits Howard over the head.

3 seconds later

Emily: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?????? (acting like it came from nowhere)

Like, did you NOT SEE THE BIG PIECE OF WOOD THAT SHE IS GONNA OBVIOUSLY HIT HIM WITH!?

I hate this movie.

Wow wow wow So so so so sooooooo bad.

Avoid this please, I'm begging you - Nothing mad sense and the "acting" was beyond atrocious.

I have no idea how they got any funding for this- Did I mention the acting was horrible? Did I mention that it made no sense?

Go stare at the wall for 1:23min., or stare at the floor- watch anything but this.

You have been warned.

• well, I still have to fill this up with 200 more characters, so let me just tell you how bad the acting was and how the movie was so slow and boring and really really really really bad.

Read all the reviews that tell you how bad it is, cause they are not lying !

This movie HAD potential, but lost it, starting when the lead characters (the mother & daughter) arrived at the campsite. Thus, was the beginning of flaw after flaw after flaw. The mother gets into an argument with the daughter & acts more like a little kid than the daughter. The mother lacks ANY common sense in emergiency situations & can't make rational decisions. When the daughter is confronted by a psychotic teen, she leaves her best weapon (a shotgun) & runs (toward the psycho) into the RV bathroom to hide. Teens are not as stupid as this girl portrays. I don't have enough room to continue with the flaws in this movie. DON'T do like I did (watch the entire flick)... be better than me; watch something/anything else (twice).

A Fun, Suspenseful Movie

I went into this with an open mind, knowing it was going to be an "innocent-camper meets dangerous-backwoods-nutjob" kind of movie--and it was--however, the plot moved along quickly, keeping my interest throughout, and I must give recognition that I never knew exactly who the bad guys were until the end. I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a suspenseful, fun movie that will have you yelling at the characters for their cliché horror movie mistakes and reminding yourself why it's important to always camp in official RV campgrounds.

Pretty Good, except the ending

Pretty good, but the ending was like, oh we ran out of money so lets cut straight to drone shot above truck fleeing. So what happened to Andrew and his sister? Why didn't Andrew help his mother fight in the end like he did right before that? Very abrupt ending. One of the most premature endings I've ever seen.

Low budget movies have the capacity to still be excellent, but this definitely is not one of them. It's really hard to believe movies are made like this and somehow make it to the mainstream! I felt like I was watching a high school project. You can't put any thought into what's going on because it didn't make sense, personally I'd be embarrassed to put a movie of this caliber on my résumé. The acting is really bad, especially from the grandpa. In the beginning the RV gets stuck in about 2 inches of dry dirt, now that's really insulting to the audience because it's so obviously not stuck, and that's just the beginning because there's a lot more nonsense like this as the movie goes on. I would go so far as to say anyone that gives this a good review probably has something to do with the production of the movie. With so much crap out nowadays it wouldn't surprise me to a sequel either 🤣

Good typical thriller horror movie in the woods

This is a good suspense/thriller movie that will entertain you from beginning to end. If you like horror/thriller movies such as Cabin in the Woods, you'll enjoy this one! Some of the reviews talk about questions that aren't answered during the movie. These are the kind of movies that you don't need to over analyze. Just enjoy the entertainment value!

Another poorly done so-called horror flick

Going camping with old people doesn't seem that common and if so I'm deeply sorry. This film starts off with grandpa driving off road in a huge camper with a cute young girl and it gets worse as the time ticks away. The real funny thing is who is doing the killing which this is the second film in a recent period that went this route. Please pass on this and save yourself 80 minutes, perhaps watch grass grow (it'll be more fun).

Great story terrible acting

This really could've been great. I hate to say it but the mother and daughter duo were just bad. And not to give anything away but seriously, the daughter is some childish, naive girl scared to go through some pockets and even attempt touch a firearm then literally 5 minutes later she's BOUTY BOUT BOUT IT!!? Um.. NO. LOL! The concept was interesting though.

Hard to watch

I am 23 mins in and I want to unalive the 3 main characters myself and end the insanity. So 3 dumb and annoying people go camping. They decide to drive into the woods that they have no idea who the woods belong to, not part of a camp area, sounds like 8 miles away from all other campers.. ok why? Dumb. They go fishing but upon returning they have no poles or gear in their hands and find out they need to pack up and leave because some old dude toting a shot gun approached and said hey, dip wads, this is private property you need to go.... So they decided to argue with the armed man and ask to stay, but no they need to go. Then of course they are stuck in 1 inch of dry soil ... what?!? Lol .... And they injur grandpa because they are dumb and stop trying to get the RV unstuck and decided despite gramps hemorrhaging from his arm that they are just gonna go ahead and spend the night. Next day they decide to do nothing for hours till finally idiot #2 decided to try to walk out for help instead of trying to get the RV unstuck. I mean just the stupidest people ever... no one knows what to do... so idiot 2 leaves and instead of walking out the way they drove in she goes though the woods and comes across some hills have eyes like stuff with more horrible acting. Ugh I think Im turning it off now. It seriously is giving me anxiety watching these flipping morons stumbling over each other and whining and arguing dumb vs dumber ... Lawd have mercy! Ain't nobody got time for that!

Not worth your time

This movie left to many questions unanswered leaving you trying to figure out what you just watched. Extremely disappointed. Definately not worth it. I even looked for a synopsis to better understand the "plot" and could find nothing. It was low budget and I was so surprised to see actors who usually have quality movies participating in this flop. My husband kept telling me to turn the movie off, but I wanted to see if possibly the ending would make the movie...... it didn't. The special effects needed work, they appeared fake and obviously so. Don't waste your time with this thrill less thriller......

This isn't nearly as bad as its low rating would have you believe. I tuned in to it primarily because of the low rating, as I wanted to laugh at the stupidity, but it actually has some intentionally funny lines and wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. Yes, as in most films of this genre, the characters seem unable to fight off a foe for no particular reason and the film certainly has its share of questionable logic, but I found it watchable and, while I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, I wouldn't tell someone to ignore it either. I do think it could have been much better if it had ventured into the gore category, but that can get expensive. Overall, not nearly as bad as most of the reviews indicate - at least not to me.
