So funny

This show is so funny I couldn't stop laughing. The entire family is funnier than a lot of actual comedians, especially Uncle Kevin. Every family member has their own unique personality and sense of humor.

It's the family dynamics for me! I also love the drive of Ryan. The spirit of entrepreneurship has been passed to his beautiful daughters! The grandmother reminds me of my mother in several ways and so I appreciate her!

It's a beautiful thing to see African American families paving their own way.

Lastly, Kevin! He might be my favorite. Lol

This family is made for tv. And I like that we are seeing the laughs and the challenges unfold in a funeral home - death is a part of life and it shouldnt always be behind a veil of tears. I finished each episode smiling from ear to ear - Debbie = gold! Kevin = omigod gold. Ryan = gold. The girls = gold. All of them - so much personality and authentic. Its solid gold family fun. Well fun for 14 and up.

We need more!

I live in Memphis Tennessee and of course passed by the fruneral home many times. Little did I know all this laughter was in one place. Uncle Kevin is hilarious and makes my day. Love momma Debbie she is a pleasant mess. Please bring more episodes

Hilarious Family!

Kinda went into this mildly expecting to be spooked because it's a funeral home. Instead I left laughing harder than I have since the year started. The Grandma is Hilarious, Kevin is everything you'd hope to have in a personality of a best friend (funny, street smart, gets things done). Deja's and Raegan's relationship with their dad is Just Everything. Completely down to earth family that I'm sure almost everyone can relate to in some way.

Seems abundantly clear that caring for the dead is not a sacred calling for these people but a means to an end. The 'end' here being Gucci bags and 15 minutes of fame. Only two of the family members seem to have any interest in actually caring for the deceased and honoring them. This show is nothing more than a vehicle for toxic personalities and what they literally call 'a hustle'.

I tried to watch this series and in the middle of the 3rd episode I turned it off. The funeral home seems to be nothing more than a money grab for this family of unprofessionals. The daughters are more interested in selling pound cakes, dressing up and playing on their phones. The matriarch is a know-it-all negative whose points out everyone's flaws but her own (she sees her flaws as great flavor for her personality).

The oldest member of the family can barely speak English, dresses like he never left the 70's and is the funeral home's jack of all trades. The father seems to be the only one treating it like a business however in the 2.5 episodes I watched he spent little time running the business and more time chastising his mom and daughters about the way they worked at the business.

There is also a 21 year old who is an assistant at the funeral home. The assistant and uncle did makeup and prepping the bodies... I never saw an emblamer or others employed there.

They say their services are affordable - they should be considering the lack of professionalism I observed. I wouldn't hire this family for a funeral ever. It's possible they were playing to the cameras but I don't think so.

The only good thing is that this docuseries exposes how awful they run their business so potential customers are warned.

They aren't funny, entertaining nor interesting to me.

The concept seems morbid but the first 5 minutes in, you fall in love with the family. The jokes, the personality, it all sounds natural. So rare for reality tv!! Yes, they say jokes to "sound funny" but anyone that is close to their family knows that's how the dialogue really is throughout the day. The playful bickering between the son and the mother is entertaining on its own & uncle Kevin has quotes for the days! Just turn on your subtitles.

Debbbby oh debby, so real and honest. Kevin is theeee king, such a nice and funny guy, very optimistic and pleasant to others. Ryan, Deja and Reagan - king and queens! Loved this cute family, and their werid occupation.

I was crying with laughter several times watching this. More than that, the love in the family really stays with you. Characters are incredibly funny, warm and memorable. The best "Office" replacement on Netflix. My only downside is there's not enough episodes.

Maybe I am just TOO old, but I have always seen Funeral Homes as places of professional DIGNITY. This live minstel show is a throwback to the old sitcoms. The family is riddled with LIVING Stereotyoes! The old uncle who dresses like Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch, and is so inarticulate he needs CLOSED CAPTIONING! The over the top sassy matriach who is perpetually angry. The owner who has 2 daughters,with 2 "babymamas". One of the daughters is a two time "babymama" herself with, of course, 2 dads!! As a proud black professional , it hurts to see us playing to the lowest common denominator, and to have it be what has been for centuries, in our community, such a dignified business! The "R" in this definately stands for RACHET and RIDICULOUS!

Literally created an acct. just to review this series. This is tv gold! It felt so good to finally be able to watch something I could totally relate to as far as family is concerned. I absolutely loved the personalities of Deja and Reagan... they are so sweet I want them to be my sisters. Their dynamic with their father is absolutely beautiful. I was in awe of how caring, understanding, and patient he is. Watching him parent was a sweet reminder of how important a father is in a lady's life. Deb and Kevin are true reality tv gold with their unapologetic persona of being totally who they are. Deb reminded me so much of women I have gained so much wisdom from throughout the years telling you exactly how it is and Kevin, well we all need a Kevin in our lives lol I was even impressed with Tavion and how motivated he was at such a young age.Watching this show brought me so many personal feelings of safety, support, love and how real family always has each others backs. No matter what type of obstacles or disagreements come your way true family always has a way of bringing it back. At the end of the day I feel like more positive black family dynamics are always a plus when it come to entertainment. 11/10 I can't wait for the next season and could I please come to ya'lls cookout!? @culturelift

I came across this series last night 2/12/21 by accident on Netflix. I have never seen anything like this before in my lifetime. However, I was glued to my 4K Samsung Smart Television watching this series. This is a loving Black family. I observed the boyfriend Corey is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Alright, Kappa Nupe.

Extremely funny, the whole family brings love, laughter and real ness to the show. I pray they stay solid with each other and never lose sight of their family 1st because tv can be a drag it seems. Uncle Kevin and Ryan are a duo in itself then you have deb in her own category (Queen) and the sisters are great and hilarious as well. Tavion is dope and solid as well. This show is a 10.

I thought it was just another reality showz. But to my surprise it is so entertaining . Although working in a funeral home the Bernard are a loving and bonded family . Everyone seems so genuine . At 1st I though it's a planned sitcom but it's not . And Ryan Bernard is so cute And uncle kelvin is funny like hell And Debbie reminds me of the movie Big Mama The girls deja and Reagan are beautiful and smart . I hope there is a season 2 to this reality . Also hope these guys stay humble and grounded after the fame . Cheers
