Violence & Gore

  • We see the corpse of a man who fell out of a window earlier on; his foot is almost completely severed at the ankle, parts of his head have caved in, and his forearm is impaled on a spiked fence. Very bloody, but it is only onscreen for a short amount of time.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Casual drinking in a pub, nothing else.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Multiple flashbacks depict domestic abuse, both verbal and physical.
  • The main character is stalked by an unknown character, creating a constant sense of unease.
  • The second half of the film is incredibly gory, with lots of disturbing and bloody scenes.
  • There are some, but not many, jumpscares that are pretty effective.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • In a very graphic nonsexual scene that serves as a metaphor, a nude male kneels, spreads his legs to reveal a vagina that's below his penis & gives birth to another version of himself with that version then giving birth to another version, etc, with each new male birthed explicitly shown covered in blood & amniotic fluid.

Violence & Gore

  • In an incredibly disturbing sequence, a man's stomach inflates. He then falls to the ground, and a vagina is seen underneath his penis. The man then proceeds to graphically give birth to a smaller version of himself. The cycle repeats several times and gets increasingly gory, with a man being birthed out of another's back, and a man crawling foot-first out of a man's mouth. Several graphic shots of the birth are seen, and it is by FAR the goriest moment in the film.
  • A man is seen with his forearm and hand split in two for the last third of the movie. Blood and muscle is visible.
  • At the film's climax, there are several birthing sequences in which grown men emerge from what appears to be a vagina, they are covered in blood and amniotic fluid and then limp toward a woman with one of their legs twisted off. The same process occurs with a man's back being torn open, and then feet and legs come out of a man's mouth. These are extremely realistic and shocking.
  • A bird flies into a window and breaks its wing. A man kills it to end its suffering later by snapping its neck.
  • A man sticks his arm through a letter opener, and has a knife stabbed through it. He then pulls his arm back through the letter opener, splitting his forearm and hand in half. A lot of blood is shown on the door and all over the floor as well. This scene is about a minute long, and almost never cuts away, showing everything in graphic detail. Very gory.
