The title is from the song "All the Young Dudes" by David Bowie, originally recorded and released as a single by Mott the Hoople in 1972.
There are a couple references to corned beef. In Ireland, corned beef is not a common food. The Irish immigrants to America could not get Irish bacon and settled for corned beef (in Ireland the English overlords demanded a lot of corned beef be made for export but the impoverished Irish commoners could not afford it). So, corned beef and cabbage is more Irish American than Irish.
