First i was hesitating to watch it because its a Netflix productions and i prefer Korean drama with a Korean production , but this was pretty good very realistic story,
I cant wait for the third season to enjoy it as the two before.

Over 30min great dialogue (Ep7) whereby the daughter lectured her father whom had betrayed the family by having an affair.
The father came out with lame excuses to divorce the wife and put the blame to the selfless wife whom had sacrificed so much over the years. Very realistic and touching storyline.
In Season 2 (Ep3) daughter yet to lecture father's lover, another steam releaser to the poor mother!!
She may had a shameless ex-husband but lucky to have two supportive children, whom are both sensitive and loving.
Lesson to be learnt by all people to love ourselves more, cry a little of the betrayal faced and move on with open heart !!!

Wow, I am surprised at all the negative reviews! Don't rely on other people's opinions, watch and form your own conclusions. If I would've relied on past shows or movies reviews , I would've missed out on some great ones. I love love love this show. The actors are amazing, especially the writers daughter! She will go far in this business. I like to be entertained and this Kdrama checks off all the boxes for me. I look forward to each show and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next week! Thanks for season 2!
Entertaining and realistic - a must watch
phd_travel1 February 2021
This must watch thought provoking series about 3 married couples and the problems they face is very well written and realistic yet entertaining. You need to concentrate a little as there are quite a lot of characters with the kids and parents and in laws but once you have figured them out it is fine. Infidelity can be scarier than any action thriller. And you may find yourself shouting at the TV!
Well chosen cast with some familiar faces totally suit their parts especially Park Joo Mi. It isn't over the top like World of the Married but there is a lot of tension with finding out about infidelity and some shockers along the way. Long stretches of thoughtfully well written dialogue highlight the different POVs of husband and wife and kids and parents. Look out for the performance of the daughter of the writer and professor. This K Drama is candidly handling adultery and divorce and the role of spouses in a thoughtful and eye opening way. The way people react to the situations is so real and it makes thing more involving than a melodrama since the scenarios are totally possible. The parents of the main characters are funny and fascinating with the priceless Kim Bo Yeon as one of the mother in laws. Watch out for her character - one of the most watchable in the series.
Can't wait for each new episode. This is entertaining and real at the same time.

All in love is fair

The series looks at the marriages of a group of ladies who all work on a radio show. The early episodes are about their reactions when they discover their husbands are cheating on them and later episodes look at the events which led to their husbands betraying them. It is well observed and acted and hopefully there will be a season 2 to tie up the loose ends.
Betrayed weak women fun for writers?
ccline-5171418 March 2021
I'm waiting in vain for the wives to call them mothereffers, no backbone in the wives,
maybe the young wife, but he's a weasley thing that couldn't be honest about wanting children. Husbands depicted (oh the stepmom with stepson, cmon!, so depraved even for kdrama!) have no love or respect for their wives, or children. Nothing redeeming in this drama except the kids with worthless men for fathers.

Warning: Spoilers
Update when this is done. Awkward scene cuts and inserts... whole bunch of foreshadowing, lil bit of "reply" series like masking of characters. Some realistic scenarios to keep me interested long enough to see this through. But don't know if it'll be worth it in the end...
Edit: after the end of 1st season, still a hot mess... I can't tell if this is suppose to normalize adultery, also the progression of the story line was like it was suppose to go to another season... Why is there going to be a major twist? But I'm a lil bit curious so there is something there, in between the shoddy editing and rough placement of dramatic music. I can definitely say it's not a must watch. we'll see if I go in for the second season but as others have said i can totally understand why they didn't finish this one.
Am I missing something?
michelleluke-576581 March 2021
Why did Netflix pick up this show and why are people rating it so well? Perhaps it's a Korean cultural thing but it just seems like old fashioned glamorized misogyny.
I've made it through 11 episodes, hoping there'd be some redemption for these betrayed women but it's mostly dragging, awkward dialogue and weird, transactional flirtation. Pretty sure alcohol is the most exciting character in this show.
The kids in kdramas usually lighten the mood but it looks tortured when they smile and laugh. When playing a serious role, the child actors shine the most.
Like most Korean dramas, nothing salacious in this show, despite its content. Just another awkward factor.
Ultimately, the cringe gets a 10 and I'd suggest passing on this one.
I don't understand the negative reviews..
jazmine-5581514 March 2021
I wasn't going to watch this at first after reading some of the negative reviews but I'm glad that I still watched it. It was entertaining and I always looked forward to the next episode. It gave me a bit of sky castle vibes but of course it's a very different topic. Can't wait for season 2 since there are still many questions unanswered.
Captures The Pressures On Women

This drama encompassed the sort of drama with love I was looking for as a careful young woman still yet to find love.
I love the radio celebrity nicknamed Boom, she awed me when we see her play the drums in those pants her husband was talking about.

Season 2
EC10_Violation13 August 2021
So all the weird video/sound editing present in season 1 has been corrected. So has the story also now has definitely gone towards the Makjang style almost fantasy. The daughter Of the professor had another juicy scene but after that was barely used in the story hopefully she gets more screen time in season 3. Overall a bit more fun seeing how and the excuses being made. The ending of season 2 which turns out to be truly what happens after everything that has happened... more eager to see season 3 than I was for season 2.
What a pathetic show

I don't know why I spent my time watching.. maybe I am still hoping that there's light at the end of the tunnel for the wives. Episode 9 to 14 (that's effing 6 episodes!) have been an absolute bore to watch the men having affairs while the wives remain clueless especially the 40s wife. Plus, the cringey dialogues (your daughter wants to marry someone like her father (totally yikes.. that's a school-goer you sick mom!), and many other instances like a former hospital director being so clueless of how diabetics should avoid high carbs and processed food.. argh just too many wrong things..
I hope there is just season 1. Please a big no for season 2. Please end everything and let the wives have their revenge at episodes 15 and 16.
I'll rate the show when it ends. I just have to write this review. You're already warned.

I'm not the harshest critic of movies or shows but the only reason I haven't given this a rating higher than 8 is that the plot is unrealistic.
I.e 3 best friends go for married men without any sort of plan amongst them. Let's say that's a possibility, but how come the men they all go for, are husbands of women who are working together in the same workplace?
I won't even mention an evil step mother who is unrealistically and maniacally evil.
However, the reason I give this a high rating of 8 is that it's very entertaining regardless of its shortcomings.
I'm a man but I'd say this show taps into the fact that most men at some point and for whatever reason in a marriage, would yearn for something different. Yearning doesn't mean that they would necessarily go for it but an adequate amount of temptation could take lots of men off the faithful course.
This show focuses on men who fall for these temptations. It's like this is a show that was written by a woman whose husband left for a younger woman; that's the vibe it gives. The vibe that all men are basically the same.

I can't believe how much has changed on season 3 its like it's another series, everything was so perfect beautiful before, with realistic relationships, acting and plot..and now there's these ghosts, weird unlikely couples, change of cast, unnecessary deaths(??) unbelievable!
Maybe they changed directors? Idk.

Warning: Spoilers
The first season was immaculate, I loved each character despite their flaws. I was really blown away by the fact that the series was so realistic. The cast was amazing, each one of the actors played amazingly well (it didn't feel like a show full of cheap drama). The timelapse was so well made. The second season was good as well, the relationships between the characters were constantly developing. In season 2, the 70 minutes dialogue was DIVINE and heartbreaking. This show made me endure the truth of marriage. BUT everything started to become cringe when Shin Yoo-Sin father appeared as a ghost throughout the episodes. At first I thought that they maybe wanted to add some other type of humor. It became too much when Yoo-Shin and Pi-Young's daughter became possessed by her grandfather. The last episode of season 2 was the downfall of this show. I don't even want to talk about the horrible cliffhanger/plot twist at the end of season 2 and the change of the cast in season 3. This show was a 10 stars for me, until season 3 came out.
Trying to Normalize Adultery
cdcarder-3026015 March 2024
I did not watch this show because it was too close to what I do for a living which is divorce law. I was out of other shows, so I started this and found myself fast forwarding through too much of it. The actors were fine, the daughter was superb and I look forward to seeing much more of her in the future. My issue with the entire script, is not that people fell in love with another, or the mother/step son had a perverse relationship, but that the story is being told in a way to try to say "it's all ok". Truth is, the story was about having your cake and eating it too, which is a line I have to use over and over in my work. The way life should work is if you fall out of love with your spouse, divorce them and move on. But this story is all about "test the waters first, lie to your spouse and children, then lie to the person you are cheating with, and then lie some more to your spouse". I understand that this happens all the time, I deal with it daily, but I don't support 3 seasons of the media trying to normalize the behavior. The attitude that its normal makes my work so much harder than it needs to be.
Disappointing Kdrama
mardiana11 March 2021
What a disappointing K-drama
K-drama has always portrayed a great plot, script, story line, acting, feel good ending etc...but not this one.
It is a pervert story and suck plot...except for the story of a daughter and son who defended their mother against their adulteress father.
Don't waste your time watching this drama. It is kind of sickening. Seems like all husbands are a****hole.
Season 4?
kimiyo_oka17 November 2022
I have to say I wasn't crazy about Season 1 but continued to watch regardless and I actually started to enjoy this drama from Season 2. When I was getting used to the characters then some of the actors changed and I read many people didn't like that. I didn't like it either at first especially I binge watch and when some actors changed it was hard to click to the new actors to the original actors so I stopped watching for couple of weeks and started to watch again without any issues. Now that Season 3 ended with a cliffhanger I wish Netflix will renew Season 4. Overall I enjoyed watching this show.
Incoherent story line, very very very poorly written

I am not a person to generally review dramas. I have created this account solely to review this bull****of a drama. Sitting through the first few episodes were extremely painful. I tried to be patient thinking it might get better over time. When ever u feel like the story is going somewhere, the plot changes. I personally did not enjoy it at all.
I LOVE it except the ghosts parts

I love it! If you hate the movie, you're definitely cheating and you're angry about the fact, they're calling you out.
You prefer side chicks more than your wife and you're mad they're calling you out. Excellent Series!! I cant wait for Season 3.
