Cult Movies

The third series of Mark Kermode's Secrets of Cinema started with a whimper and ends with a bang.

The team of Kermode, Kim Newman and Nick Freand-Jones were never going to go wrong with cult cinema.

As someone who once devoured the movies shown on the BBC's cult film seasons Moviedrome, incidentally produced by Freand-Jones.

I regard myself as au fait with cult movies. Only to realise I knew very little after this instalment.

It was shocking to learn that just maybe David Lynch might have been influenced by an early filmmaker.

Kermode weaves a fascinating threat of cult moviemakers and how they inspired future generations. H even admits that he once walked out of a screening of Pink Flamingos.

A must see for any discerning fan of cult movies.
