Patty makes her psychic mark
JordanThomasHall3 September 2020
Patty becomes fascinated after reading about experiments on on ESP and psychic abilities. She insists that she go out of the room while the family concentrates hard on a random object they pick, and she will be able come back and guess the item. Cathy talks the others into going along with what ever Patty picks. Patty begins gaining confidence in her ability, to the point she still believes in it even after Cathy confesses it was a joke. She begins taking appointments for psychic readings with students at school. Patty's soon visited by Detective Lt. Gregory (familiar firm police character actor Ken Lynch) about illegally operating a fortune telling business, but cleared since she doesn't take any money. In fact, he is impressed and moved by his fortune told. Madame Olga (familiar character actress Elvia Allman), a self-proclaimed famous psychic, drops in with flattery of Patty's talents and to have her come to her parlor. There, Patty begins seeing the trickery of the business as a money-maker scheme. Madame Olga talks a somewhat reluctant Patty into giving her backgrounds on some of her friends and directing them to her parlor. Unknown to some of the family, Patty is actually working with the police on the operation with a marked bill, leading to comical complications.
