I love the characters and it feels like a more realistic less scary Friday night dinner. The characters are a little stereotypical in parts (Cherry and Robin) but there is nuanced queer representation, subtle mental health awareness and Sam is awesome and isn't boxed in at all.
Entertaining multi gen comedy.

The trials and tribulations of The Jessops, a family for whom life, just seems to go wrong.
I absolutely loved this series, imaginative, funny, very well acted, and just a little bit different. I liked the format, it jumps back and forth a bit, it's original.
It's genuinely funny from start to finish, two episodes stood out in particular, the family portrait, that was side splitting, and The Scottish family holiday, some great dialogue, and very funny scenarios.
In all fairness, this had some pedigree, Jim Howick, Katherine Parkinson and of course the magical Alison Steadman, that's a tremendous lineup, they're all on form here.
The series picked up where the pilot left off, it's a cracking show, I hope it continues into the future.
More please, 9/10.

Best comedy I've seen on the BBC for a while, and appealed to all ages in our family, plus had a good amount of laugh out loud moments. The cast is good, with some nice guest appearances from familiar comedy faces. More please!

I havent seen the Christmas pilot that people seem to be making reference to, just the first episode going to the theme park.
It feels a bit wooden sometimes, but that's just a style thing. The Office and Peep Show felt like that at the beginning also.
It really borrows heavily from that style of comedy, some of it feels a bit forced, but it is really funny. I laughed out loud at a few points.
The BBC, being the BBC of course cant help the obligatory tick boxing. But. It was a good show.

Modern British sitcoms struggle to get strong, funny scripts and this is no different, however episodes 4 and 5 were really very good.
The cast is pretty decent and I really liked Jim Howick, who is incredibly relatable.
This show will never be a classic, it's mostly forgettable but it's still worth a watch. They need to replicate the quality of the scripts in episodes 4 & 5.

Here We Go is a 6 part sitcom from 2022, based on a one off pandemic-themed comedy from 2020 called Pandemonium. I initially watched Here We Go without having heard of Pandemonium.
To start with the bad: the camerawork is shaky and disorienting, the idea that this has been made as a documentary by the teenage son is not believable, and the father at times seems to be doing a bad impression of David Brent from the Office. Nevertheless I like this show very much.
The frequent time jumps work well, there is quick witty dialogue, it's cleverer than you might first think. I don't really know what it is I like so much about the show, I think the storylines fit together quite pleasingly, although you do have to suspend your disbelief at times. Actors are very good, characters relatable.
I've gone back and rewatched the series and picked up jokes I didn't notice the first round. There's a blatant reference to episode 3 (Cherry's Salsa Class) in episode 1 (Mum's Birthday Voucher), which is impossible to spot if watching episodes in order. Also a reference to episode 2 in episode 3.
Watching Pandemonium, I can see where the whole idea of this sitcom comes from but it's a bit on the nose. The family documentary style makes more sense as a project the son is doing over lockdown. The grandmother is representative of those who keep breaking lockdown. The father of the family (Paul Jessop) is the man on furlough. Uncle Robin is the man whose wedding plans and relationship have been ruined by covid. The daughter has opted out of University due to covid. Katherine Parkinson plays the person working from home and bank-rolling the family. And the time jumps exist so we can see them doing the worst things imaginable in January 2020 followed by the consequences however many months later.
While Pandemonium gave birth to these characters, they become more rounded in the subsequent series. Most of the reviews on IMDB are of Pandemonium.

Promising New Family Comedy from the BBC.

It's seemingly been a while since the BBC had it's last family comedy and so, here comes "Here We Go" (also known as Pandemonium", a Dom Com about the Jessops.
The show is definitely promising, providing good observational humour and quite gentle in nature. It's a bit too slow-paced, but I suspect that that will be rioned out as the series progresses.

One of the best comedies produced by the BBC in a long time, Here We Go is quick-witted in Its story of a relatable family. Not all of the characters are hits, but together they create a great chemistry which is always enjoyable thanks to some great casting.
Parkinson and Howick deliver the best of the comedy, Howick perfectly delivering the beta-male character who's behaviour is a continuous laugh. The plots are simple but delivered in an unconventional fashion and overall the series provides a fresh feature of light entertaining.

The concept of the show is good and the actors do what they can with a weak script that lacks any real imagination and depth.
Wooden is probably the most appropriate word to describe the generally lacklustre narrative.

My only complaint with this series is that they probably could have made it look more like it has been filmed and edited by a teenager.
Apart from that though, this is a really fun and entertaining series with superb acting.

I've seen a few reviews saying this series just rips off other shows. Ok so it's got elements that seem to have been borrowed from Gavin and Stacey, like the family banter, and there's the camera's view which could be compared to the concept of Peep Show. There's probably homage to just about every other family sitcom as well, but it doesn't matter when the show is so very good in its own right. A stellar cast from just about every great sitcom of recent years just adds to the great writing. The characters are relatable but also recognisable. You'll see yourself but also other people. Here's hoping for more series.

This came on when iPlayer randomised on the TV, I can't remember what I actually had on before it. I was busy writing a long email on the laptop and was hearing little bits along the way and it had me laughing out loud. Some proper belly laughs in this show. Had to restart it afterwards and watch it all again.
Very good. Some of the best comedy the BBC has come up with in years. The generational part is key to the comedy too. Can we have more like this please?

I gave it a try because it had Alison Steadman in it and I wasn't disappointed. Easy to watch and very funny. I liked the way it was filmed by the son Sam and some of the secret conversations are very funny. The banter between the characters is inspired but you really have to concentrate on the dialogue to get the full benefit. The chaotic situation the family get themselves into are crazy and sometimes toe curlingly embarrassing. If I have one criticism it's the jumping back and forth in the time line. Two weeks before,Three weeks later, One month earlier . However I really hope there is a second series to enjoy.

This series has heart with plenty of laughs to remind us not to take life too seriously... and that every family has their quirks. I had only seen the pilot episode and enjoyed it a lot. In just one episode that flew by... it really captured 2020 well. I found myself relating to the stress, the chaos/challenges at the time, and was surprisingly therapeutic to view it from another family's perspective. I hadn't heard about the full series and only stumbled upon it. It was a great find to see 6 more episodes of this family navigating through the madness in the best ways they know how. The full series didn't disappoint, I enjoyed every episode... and look forward to more! The cast works very well together. The more I seek out Tom Basden's writing credits, the more I laugh and enjoy his talents. He shines when he writes scenarios and small details that include element of real life, especially the bits that nobody talks about. There's enough of the situation to make it relatable in some aspect... and you can look back at your own life experiences and laugh at yourself too.

For the past three years, BBC has been knocking out some terrible shows/sitcoms. However, Here We Go is absolutely brilliant! Tom Basen is a fantastic writer, and I appreciate his comedy. This show is simple yet so, so funny - and I am sure many British families can relate to the hectic mess that family life can be like. I completely agree with others who say this is the best comedy I have seen in a while. There's nothing particularly eventful or dramatic, but that's what makes it so good. Love all the actors - great casting. Go on - give it a watch! It's a light hearted bit of entertainment. So glad there's a season two.

The acting and writing in this sit com is top notch . Although it is a well trodden format the storylines are surprisingly unexpected. I love the writing of the female lead, she owns her foibles and is very open to new challenges reinventing herself despite being the classic loving mum /wife /daughter in law / sister etc stuck in the middle of it all, Catherine Parkinson plays her with a beautiful lightness. All the cast are brilliant with the perfect mix of familiar faces and new talent .In my opinion this sits with the classics of recent years ,. Friday night Dinner and This Country ,it has us in stitches on the sofa and rewatching episodes to suit our current mood .

Series two episode one was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The 'party' had me screaming and crying with laughter. Perfect.

The acting is high quality, the script is high quality. Every character is likeable. The mum always shouting for someone to answer the door cracks me up. A really good balance, where all characters are given quality lines and shared air time.

I suffer with dizziness and this programme is a massive trigger for me as it's made to look like it's filmed on a handheld camera. Even my husband, who doesn't have dizziness issues, finds it too much to watch with the camera all over the place. We watched the original pilot, which we liked, but only managed 1.5 episodes of series one before we had to give up on it. It would be massively improved if it were filmed on a steady camera, but even then it's not amazing, it's just too chaotic and tries too hard.

Alison Steadman is actually a fantastic actress but in this she's just the add on annoying unfunny granny. The mother however ruins it with her same party piece of looking confused constantly. She's the same in everything I've ever seen her in.
Don't waste your time. It's forgetable and wooden.
