Welcome to Deadline’s International Disruptors, a feature where we’ll shine a spotlight on key executives and companies outside of the U.S. shaking up the offshore marketplace. This week, we’re talking to Reno Studios, a digital studio launched in Taipei in 2017, initially handling VFX for Taiwanese films, and now also bringing work from international clients including Netflix, EuropaCorp, Saudi-owned Mbc Group and India’s Zee to Taiwan. Deadline sat down with co-founders Peter Huang and Tomi Kuo, and Executive Producer/Senior VFX Supervisor Christopher Chen, to talk about how the company has grown, their future plans, and why Taiwan is an ideal destination for VFX and Virtual Production.

Former actress Somy Ali has spoken about her equation with ex-beau Salman Khan and called him a “coward, sadist and a narcissistic abuser of women.” She has also spoke about the superstar’s involvement in banning her show ‘Fight Or Flight’.
“(Salman Khan’s) first girlfriend was a young lady named Shaheen, then came Sangeeta Bijlani, and I was his third girlfriend. We never got married as the closest he got to marriage was with Sangeeta given their wedding cards had already been printed when I entered his life, but that relationship broke up because of me and I am not proud of that fact.”
“But as karma has it, the same happened to me with his countless affairs and I also suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of Salman, physical, verbal and sexual,” she said in statement.
She claims that Salman has a “knack for changing girlfriends.”

Josh Hartnett, once a teen sensation with films like The Virgin Suicides and Pearl Harbor under his belt, is making waves again. This time, he’s collaborating with acclaimed director M. Night Shyamalan. They’re currently working on a project in Canada, a film that’s been intriguingly described as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.”
Interestingly, the film was first titled Trap, but now it’s shooting under the temporary name Good Grades. While the final title remains a mystery, the anticipation is building. Shyamalan is not just directing; he’s also wearing the producer’s hat and funding the entire venture. It’s a bold move, especially since they’re filming amidst an ongoing actors’ strike. But Shyamalan, known for his dedication, has secured an agreement from SAG-AFTRA to proceed.
In the film, Hartnett plays a father who decides to take his son to a concert. But...

Can you believe we're through six seasons of 9-1-1?
The megahit procedural has been on the airways for quite some time now, accumulating 96 episodes, numerous accolades, and a diehard fandom of ardent supporters.
With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and the fight for fair and equitable contracts ongoing, 9-1-1 Season 7 won't air this fall. But that doesn't mean the 9-1-1 chatter has to be put on the back burner.
As the series approaches 100 episodes, a miraculous feat in today's television landscape, we started thinking about some of the best moments throughout the series' run thus far. With so much overall screen time, narrowing down a few key moments was challenging.
There were countless moments to choose from, but this list encompasses the moments that have helped shape both the characters and the series to this point. Make sure to sound off in the comments with anything we may have missed!
