Warning: Spoilers
Despite I really enjoyed the 2 season, the finale was unsatisfying.

  • Where on Earth was Catherine and why wasn't she in prison? There were so many witnesses she must have been caught immediately instead of having all time in the world for even locking the house! No way that could've happened!

  • Ritha was smart and experienced enough to come to Alma not only with a question but with suspicions and some kind of weapon. This woman was angry as hell and came to talk on the backyard? Not in front of all Why with Grace's help didn't she let everyone know who Alma was?? I'll never believe she would turn her back to the killer of her cousin and husband.

  • Scooter didn't change his lifestyle although he seemed to change during that dialog about 'small dreams'
...and some more questions, less important.

BUT the most importantly...why did Ritha die? I'm sure all of us would be glad to see a movie about her adventures. Lana made an extraordinary job, I wish she had a chance to develop her character more.

So the final of the First season seemed immaculate, of the Second - rushed and unsatisfying.

Very good
gafc-092022 August 2021
A very good and satisfying ending. I felt like every character got the ending they deserved (except maybe for Rita). All of the characters were incredibly well written and each one got a suitable arc throughout the season. Yes, the episode could have been longer and tied up some loose ends but overall it was one of the best seasons of any show I have ever watched.

Great finale

Warning: Spoilers
This show is a bit of a hidden gem and I was surprised to see such a low review for the finale in particular. This season was just as good as the last season if not better. It's one of the best finales I have seen for any show. Sure it's a little messy in that the storylines didn't all tie up neatly but it make it feel more like a real life crime story - in real life people are sometimes impulsive and make emotional decisions.

Of course it annoyed me from the start when they didn't just call the police when their neighbor accidently died but both of the main characters had believable reasons for doing so: one was a serial killer and the other one has an all encompassing obsession with joining an exclusive club. Also there is the matter that although the main characters know it was an accident it still looks a lot like a murder and likely her husband would be put in prison if an investigation started for his murder spree.

Amazing series finale (don't pay attention to the blatant campaign against it!)
adansantos31 July 2021
Although it started a bit slow, by episode 4, this series made me feel like the weeks were so long, having to wait for the next episode. It kept getting better and better, with more twists and turns.

And the final episode exceeded my expectations. Came here to rate it, and found this 3 mal-intentioned individuals, who must have watched paint dry instead, and reviewed that instead. I don't believe for a moment, than someone who watched the rest of the season and liked it, is disappointed by this episode. There is nothing not to like about it. It's just better. It's almost perfect. 9.5/10.

Good Finale with stellar cast
SallyWilliams9 June 2022
The main cast of this season did an incredible job, especially Lana & Allison. The performances were so spot on & nuanced.

The ending was still surprising, but very well written. The bad reviews obviously came from folks who wanted to have a happy ending for Rita, but this isn't Once Upon A Time, guys. This series always is sharper & meaner, so I found the last episode satisfying & very entertaining. Thank you, Marc Sherry, you did it again.

Great Season/Horrible Ending
john-west8330 July 2021
I loved this season a lot more than I did the first (and I really enjoyed it too) but this ending was rushed and anticlimactic. There was no payoff to such a great season. All the actors were wonderful and I loved the characters, even the ones you love to hate. The story was great but the ending felt rushed and sloppy.

Really disappointing episode
lepenflorianne1 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I LOVED the 9 first episodes but the last one was really disappointing. A lot of questions remained unanswered on this one and the story feels like unfinished.

  • Why was Tom Madison dancing with a girl so alike Rita if she wasn't Rita?

  • Why did Rita have such a personal reaction and seemed so affected by Dee's pregnancy? It must have been because of something that happened into her life but we don't have the answer

  • What happened with Harry? On the previous episode we learn that Harry is still alive, so Rita can't inherit anything from Carlo's fortune, but we don't get to know anything about him anymore.

  • Where does Catherine end?

  • And the most important thing: Why did have Rita to die right at the moment she learnt to find her true self and became a better person?

And Scooter who forgets about her and just finds himself a new "lady friend", without learning anything. And the fact that Rita dies makes the shot scene on the previous episode absolutely pointless.

I still loved the acting and all the cast was amazing, but the scenario of this last episode is a total nonsense.

Great show with a mediocre finale
arod_851 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This show is so good but I do think this season did become messier as the season progressed. I kept waiting for all the unnecessary characters and arcs to make sense and tie in to the bigger story, but they never did. Why didn't the Filcots just tell the truth about the neighbor? They didn't kill her. What was even the point of her death? It didn't add much to the story and could have been omitted all together. I agree that the finale was the weakest episode of the series unlike season 1. The season 2 finale appeared to get lazy and careless. For two main characters to get shot to come away with very minor injuries, Catherine to just run off, Rita dying just as she appeared to change for the better, Bercham killing himself before his wife, and Alma to get a somewhat happy ending after becoming the most vile character of them all was annoying. For such a clever series, I thought the ending would be more complex, for example Bercham would realize that Alma had become a monster amd he realized she was killing out of greed instead of compassion so he would kill himself so Alma would get blamed and he would put in end to her evil ways. Rita would be punished enough for her past behavior by starting over as a "common person", but still grateful just to have a second chance, and Scooter would decide being a father was more important than being a movie star or "kept" man. Instead, we got a rushed finale that that did not do the series justice.

Why disappointment kills?
Laqshayaroraofficial29 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just watched the finale episode, the last few episodes were so awesome, I expected a lot from the finale, especially the killing, It was quiet frankly dull as compared to the finale of season 1. Sorry, Mark Cherry you were just too busy teaching all the bad guys a lesson you couldn't make a better ending. Finale episode was comparatively short, could have been an hour long atleast but given how the show ended this episode should have been less than 30 minutes.

Ending was really pathetic:

Bertram killed himself.

Alma never became the president of the garden club but enjoyed getting a death sentence, she was happier than ever. Will she get chic friends (which she wanted in the starting) after death?

Catherine never showed up.

Scooter and bertram even though got shot in last episode, were running around in this episode like the bullet was a vaccine for them.

Rita never took any revenge, got killed, her husband got killed , her sister got killed, they all just died.

Why were bertram and alma running around from problems when they were happy to die?

What was scooter's reaction when Rita died? Also, how did he got so popular and rich in the end?

Alma let bertram kill the detective because she doesn't want to ruin her hair and makeup? Even though she knows Bertram never kills those who are healthy.

Bertram admit he made all the killings then why did alma became the famous murderess in america even though she only murdered Rita as far as the police know.

Even if you look closely in the earlier episode ,when dee found Mrs. Yost's body ,the body moved even when dead.

Also who is stupid enough to bury the neighbour's body in their own garden and befriend the dog and let him dig it even though they threw the car miles away? After dee finds Mrs. Yost's dead body the dog's role was useless so the writers fired him.

Noone mentioned dee forgot her purse in Mrs. Yost's house

It was also shocking to see Rita come to Alma without any weapon even though she knew Alma has killed 2 of her family members.

So many plotholes!!

No fight, no entertainment, no revenge.

Watch this episode if you want to see scooter getting popular and scooter's baby.

I really don't care if there ever will be Why women kill season 3.

Awful ending to a not great season
kate-anete-jansone8 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The first season was 11/10, I loved it. The best show I have watched in long time. Why did they have to ruin that by making this season so, so awful, without any passion, likability at all? I was hoping over the episodes it would get better but kept getting worse. Alma is all over the place, horrible person. And one of the main characters dying right after she has learned her lesson neither goes with the first season's plot neither shows how a great series should end to me. You do not kill the character who has become likeable in the last two episodes of the series. So, so disappointing, I was really looking forward to this season after watching the first one.

A very bad season

The whole season is extremely disappointing. With every episode it gets even worse. The implausible characters, the tortured and grotesquely twisted story. A free parade of evil and lies, without any meaning. Wasted time.
