Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World
Tweekums22 September 2022
This ecchi anime series is centred on Michio Kaga, a young man who finds himself in a world that is like a fantasy game. For some reason he has skills that others don't possess; something he keeps secret. After some initial solo adventuring he adds Roxanne, a busty dog girl, to his party... she isn't just somebody he met but a slave he purchased. She seems happy with the situation though and is keen to help him in any way he asks. This not only means fighting alongside him in the labyrinth where monsters dwell but also satisfying his sexual requests.

This series is a bit of an odd one; the adventuring is fun to watch with a mild sense of danger and our two protagonists are likeable to watch; this aspect of the show is probably suitable for all ages. On the other hand the sex certainly isn't; it may be heavily censored, at least on the televised version available on Crunchyroll, but there is no doubt what is going on. The fact that Roxanne is a slave just makes it far more morally dubious. These scenes don't take up a huge amount of time in most episodes but will put some people off. If you can get past them it is enjoyable. The title is something of a misnomer as Michio doesn't add to his party until the series is nearly over... the final minutes hint at more additions; whether this is a hint of what is to come in later seasons or just letting us know how things continue in the ongoing manga remains to be seen. Overall I'd say this is fun if you don't mind the sleazier aspects of the series, I imagine anybody tuning in for those scenes will want to wait for an uncensored version.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Here Nothing Ever Happens.
liraenriquec20 October 2022
It isn't easy to understand the objective of this story.

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is about a guy who enters a video game land, but instead of fighting against a terrible enemy, the story limits to show how this guy adapts to his new life. The problem is that this new life is everyday life, not an epic life.

When I finished episode 5, I believed that the author was planning to the left the story unfinished to continue it in a second season.

But that didn't happen. The story finished without any significant unresolved issues. That's not necessarily bad in a traditional tale. But here, the problem is that in this story, anything never occurs.

When watching episode 8, I thought: "why am I watching this? What am I expected to occur here?"

Yes, it is like it sounds. In Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, never happened anything. There are not any problems. There isn't any mystery.

I feel disappointed because I expected a remarkable story considering other very good and recent Isekai animes. (For example: How not to summon a Demon Lord 2, Jobless Reincarnation 2).

In a nutshell, I don't understand the purpose of this story. I don't think this story is terrible (because I don't hate it, and it did not bother me), but I can't recommend it, considering that there are a lot of other extraordinary good stories to watch.

Controversial, but still pretty decent Isekai
MG732913 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If you didn't read the Manga first before you watched the anime I recommend you do that. There is some content missing in the anime that is in the Manga, but over all the anime captures much of it.

Unfortunately this is one of those titles that Cancel Culture and Modern Day Feminism would probably protest against because of the content of this anime. This anime is not for under age individuals, and along with all the blood, gore, and violence, there is quite a bit of sexual content as well. The part of this anime that some people might find disturbing is that the protagonists Harem is made from slaves he bought. Even though the main character owns slaves for the most part he is a decent person (which feels weird coming out of my mouth but it's true).

Over all this is a decent Isekai with a harem and Ecchi theme. I don't see this coming out in dub though because of the impact of Cancel Culture and Modern Day Feminism on the anime industry.

Considering the content of this anime is a Female Harem theme and not Reverse-Harem or Josei the audience that this anime will probably have is mostly male.

Revolting story of murderer-rapist
Yurii220219 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The pity is the show actually had a fairly decent beginning: the main character, promptly after waking up, witnesses a bandit assault, therefore being forced into a battle. As a result, he ends up killing people, only to realize afterward that since there are no "logouts", this must be his new reality. After a quick rationalization, he goes to the nearest town to sell the spoils of battle; collect bounties for the bandits; and receive compensation for a thief being sold into slavery. During the latter, canny "merchant" introduces the protagonist to a slave girl and convinces him to make a purchase for a hefty price. Since Michio doesn't have enough money, the slaver agrees to set a five-day term to gather the funds, which concludes a pretty eventful first episode.

The following episode introduces us to a fairly well-balanced progression system and some skills, as the protagonist ventures to the labyrinth in an attempt to earn the remainder of the sum.

The third episode also starts all right: as the term of the deal approaches m.c. Realizes that at this pace he won't make it in time, so decides to venture for bounties on bandits. Using the Identify skill, he relatively easily finds targets. And it's at this point that things start to go wrong.

The first thing that comes to mind of a 17-year-old high schooler isn't to contact the authorities or gather and submit evidence, but to butcher them! And it's not like they have shown us wanted posters, each with a list of horrible crimes, to at least somewhat justify such decision. In fact, it's the opposite: in the first episode m.c. Was told that any runaway slave is considered a bandit, and he himself just recently witnessed enslaving of a man for petty theft. Considering that, Michio could have at least tried to find out how they've come to be branded bandits, but it didn't even cross his mind. And if that wasn't bad enough, two of the so-called "bandits" turned out to be women, which in a medieval society (where people fight with swords) means they most likely din't take up arms willingly, so are even more likely to be mostly, or completely innocent. It was appalling to watch people being beheaded in their sleep one by one. But hey, at least, there was a chance they were bad, right? So I swallowed my doubts and proceeded to episode four.

And that's when the story turned from unsettling to outrageously abhorrent. For a few moments, I couldn't believe that that was really what was going on, but soon enough there wasn't a shadow of a doubt - that piece of walking garbage forced himself on the minor and raped her! As soon as I discerned the fact, I involuntarily closed the player and just sat in silence for a minute. I mean is it even legal to show something like that? Just remembering it is sickening!

This is the first time I've ever given a score of one despite having over a hundred and fifty anime's rated on IMDB. Truly a striking experience.

Why I Loved This Anime
noshineprethu18 January 2023
Masterclasss on how to make an entertaining anime without a good story.

This has Something every Isekai should have by far the MOST CRUCIAL reason why this works --- Consequences & Life or Death.

Too many isekai's have either WAAAY to overpowered characters / zero consequences for their actions or nothing happens when they get badly injured or killed. By making it feel like death is a real possibility in this Isekai it suddenly becomes more entertaining, you want to grow with the character and actually care what happens on screen.

So to all isekai makers out there take note an anime without consequences is no fun.

the true manifestation of why the anime culture is so hated upon.
arijitbiswas-768114 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I've this weird ocd of continuity. I can't help but continue watching something until the very end, even if it's a dumpster fire. I've never dropped anything, ever, except this anime.

Isekai Meikyuu De Harem O started off as any other isekai animes (which i have no problem with) overpowered mc, no clue how he ended up here, slowly gets a grip, murders a lot of people and then realizes this is real. So far so good. Then he goes to the town to collect the bounty and he meets a slave trader and your average ecchi female character. Bewildered by her appearances he sets his goal to BUY HER at any cost TO DO THE NASTY. Even after seeing this, I kept a positive mindset saying "maybe It's like a savior story, he buys her for sex but falls in love and they do it in a moral fashion later on". But no, as soon as he bought her, he forces himself on her. And after 5 episodes of this r*pe fantasy bulls*it, I've decided to drop this. It most certainly is one of the worst animes I've ever seen and the true manifestation of why the anime culture is so hated upon.

Its a great adventure/progress/sexy anime
caeladhir118 September 2022
You got it all as title says.

Personal growth ans how to develop the diffrent skills well drawn female characters.

Its 1 of the top anime right now.

Sadly woke people dislike this anime due to sexy females in it which are characters.

As most anime its fantasy anime with wolfkin females, dwarfs and others.

If you looking for harem of diffrent females of races like dwarfs, elfs, dragons, cat and wolfkine.

Hidden god power like be able choice diffrent skills. Which is only few people in this world has been able to do. Then this is the anime for you.

The main character treans his harem better then most people treat their family and goes sometimes into some morals but only touch it lightly so its a feel good anime.

First episodes are some blood so can be touchy for some.

Another Isekai with unrealistic main character personality
chrisclem-9214722 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Main character basically instantly becomes a psychopath murders other humans without remorse, episode 3 shows how poor quality writing on this is the guy straight murders two women naked and unarmed, because wants money for a sex slave granted they was classed as bandits (title was thief) which isnt against law to kill them but something with cutting two womens heads off one while sleeping other while she hears noise walks in naked, he did kill 3 guys bandits in same place. Cut off hands of guys runs away before doing same of women to get bounty reward from town guards, and he is only paid two because one didn't have bounty he doesn't question his morality at all because thinks is sub human sex slave purchase, reason I highlighted murder women really psychotic because learns about slavery in espiode 1 selling man into slavery because he stole a item and slaves become bandits if run away from owners so he kill two women who likely ran from being sex slaves, got title thief when check the stats that was enough murder them for sex slave money, it's only shown couple secs of his dreaming about sex slave as really only fan service in it so far so really doesn't have slot going for show.

Great for What it is
badpimp17 October 2022
Awesome anime great art smooth animations and what more can u ask for in a harem anime. Just side note a little more story would be nice and hope to see a season 2 . Getting only one season kills my soul to watch when there's not a good continuation or a nice wrap up conclusion season. Now i want to tell you something.

This is a warning for those who knows nothing about anything in this anime,if you're a type of person that looking for a good, well made and structured story, this might not be your cup of tea.

For my fellows who knows what exactly this is and still enjoy it nonetheless, this is a long waited moment and now we can finally enjoy it.

The only thing i cares about this anime is how well the animation is, sure i can grow fond to some other aspect along the show but ANIMATION is definitely the most crucial and the point of interest.
