Second episode in and kinks are getting ironed out, though some of the plot threads border on melodrama.

Bryan, Finola and the Orbital team investigate a circular wall made of junk in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania that may be tied to an amnesiac man named Eric.

With the somewhat clunky introduction of the first episode, the show feels like it's finding a direction. Like the previous episode the debris being tracked by the team feels like it's placing power in broken people who are unconsciously using it. It's a decent enough way to establish stakes for the episode, but when we find out why Eric feels "broken" it doesn't feel like much of an emotional catharsis especially with how easily it's resolved in the end. More details are revealed about an identity organization trying to gather Debris which keeps the main mystery feeling mostly focused, and more details about Finola's sister and father. I get the feeling the writer's are going for a similar approach to how Fox Mulder's sister Samantha served as a motivating force for that character in The X-Files, but so far I'm not feeling this plot thread. Maybe it'll get better development but it just doesn't resonate with me.

Story line improving but...

Commericals EVERY SIX MINUTES!?! WTH? Maybe I haven't watched anything on network TV lately, but damb, right when you get into the story, BAM! A freakin' commercial. I timed it.

Still not into the male lead. He creeps me out. Maybe that's the intent? I'll give it a couple more episodes if I can tolerate the constant interruptions. Better yet, I'll just record it next time.

Too Strange

Two episodes in and I just don't feel anything drawing me back to watch it. It is more like an 'I'll tape it and see if it gets more interesting' There are just so many loose ends and nothing seems to make any sense. Something tangible needs to give a hint of what might be going on or it will not make it much longer.

Feelings! ...GAG!

We're only at ep 2, already it's become a soap opera, and the sci fi is demoted to merely incidental.

Relationship issues, sibling rivalry, parental issues, and counseling.

Who are these unskilled writers, and directors that want every male scruffy and unshaven all the time?! Stick to the awesome crashed ufo bits that makes this series so intriguing to me, not these uninteresting characters! And please lighten up on all the "Captain Obvious " dialogue from *everyone*!

Barely the same score.

A lot less to like here. Starts to devolve into a bit of a case of the week procedural, but trying to be like Fringe or something. While it's not an awful attempt, I'm more invested in what's happening overall.

That being said, not a HORRIBLE plot, at one point I was maybe caught off guard. But the low budget's WAY more noticeable in this episode.

Amazing Rollercoaster of an Episode

Warning: Spoilers
First it cannot be overstated how excellent David Alpay is as the much cloned Eric. His performance in every version is different and startling. And on restoration, the full version of Eric was better than we've come to expect from a one-off guest on network television.

This episode expanded all the threads given in Ep1. We know who the people in the hotel were working for, we understand more about all the primary characters, and we have more questions.

A really great show gives answers that lead to question ans Debris does that all over.

The nearly silent exchange between Eric and Carmen at the end is, no joke, a more nuanced and emotional romance than most movies pull off in 90 minutes. It. Is. Everything.

This is the episode that hooked me. Ep1 intrigued me, this one caught me entirely!

Great modern Scifi

Why are the haters hitting on this show? It is not for those who don't like mysteries and strange things. I like the chemistry developing between the main characters. The story eh narrative is fascinating and unpredictable. There is modern diversity and inclusiveness, we don't see that often. I am looking forward to see the next episode.

Ho hum

A partner keeping secrets. Government officials lying. Why does it feel like I have seen this before? Oh, because I have like a hundred times. The underlying sci fi story is interesting, but these overused tropes are ruining it for me.

Will this get any better or clearer?

I liked the idea of falling alien transport debris and could understand the the pilot doesn't want to give any answers at all. It makes sense that MI6 and CIA don't understand or know what is going on. However even within the pilot, it did feel like a sub par X-files. I also noticed that Finola Jones (MI6) says Bryan all the time and he actually only uses her name as an introduction - once I heard it, I couldn't help but keep hearing it. The pilot plot revolved around feelings and things moving and this one again has something similar. I do wonder why not EVERY metal object doesn't get pulled? The dialogue feels a bit laboured at times, so much so that we talked through most of both episodes. There are so many plot holes that don't seem to be answered or make sense - world continuity is off. This episode focuses on some kind of cloning aspect and applause for David Alpay for playing all the different versions of Eric - the audition must have been tough. I am not sure how many episodes we'll keep watching, each episode seems to take a long time, but seeing as we're not allowed out....might be a couple more.

Episode 2, even worse than the 1st episode
gareth-7544210 March 2021
This was all kinds of stupid & it's still Not a sci-fi show, episode 1 crying girl pleads with her mum & she & all the victims are saved from their comas Episode 2 girlfriends love saves the man from dying, seriously? Who's writing this garbage? Both episodes concentrated on cloning & neither story made any sense,in this episode the man was trapped in a car in the middle of the scrap that the "debris" had dragged to make a perfect circle around the town, what was the point? was it just to make multiple clones? Why & for what reason? Complete garbage, which is what the title of this show should be.

I will review as many episodes as I can stand.

First....the lead actor sucks...a lot. Second...it is horribly derivative of Fringe, which was awesome Oh God..the characters are stupid. Yeh, they are trying to build a backstop and develop an arc, but Wyman can't they be more original. C'mon man! Welcome to Westfield.

First time I've seen this
maulena10 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I watched "Debris" on TV last night for the first time, 03/08/2021. A piece of outer-space "debris" was cloning people and dragging all kinds of metal objects. I don't know if this is supposed to be a comedy, but I almost died laughing a few times. The scenes were hilarious. Like 2 people are having a deep conversation, and there is literally a huge boat sliding down the street behind them that they don't seem to notice. I was hoping for a story with more of a big mystery to solve, like they were all trapped in some place and needed to find a way to escape. Two sisters are more worried about their sibling rivalry than saving the Planet Earth.

Lack of attention to trivial details
raduvlasie16 March 2021
There are scenes that doesn't take into account that the same actor had different shirts throughout the same scene.
