Sex & Nudity

  • Multiple sexual depictions, references and jokes throughout. But no explicit nudity.
  • A character is briefly seen using a vibrator in a montage sequence, nothing explicit is seen.
  • A man confesses cheating on his wife with multiple women.
  • A man continually tries to get people to have sex with him while on a drug binge.
  • A couple is briefly seen having sex on a movie set. Nothing explicit is seen.
  • A man high on drugs hallucinates his virtual excercise trainer trying to seduce him. She uses fitness terms as a euphemism for sexual acts she wants him to do. He then can be seen briefly inside the tv screen thrusting into her. No nudity.
  • There are several instances when people aggressively grab, kick, or punch another character in the genitals.
  • A man describes to another man his idea for a pair of robotic glove hands that perform sex acts from people all around the world; one to another virtually.

Violence & Gore

  • Lots of slapstick and over the top violence where fingers are shot off with exaggerated gore.
  • During the "film within a film" sequences, characters and CGI monsters die in violent and bloddy deaths, i.e. explosions, dismemberment, being eaten alive, etc. None of this is very serious though, as it is obvious that this is just a movie.
  • A character is shot in the hand with an arrow and pinned to a tree.

Profanity

  • Frequent strong language throughout. 24 uses of Shit, 74 uses of fuck, bitch, damn, and their derivatives. Goddamn is used 4 times

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Multiple characters are seen drinking, smoking and doing drugs throughout.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are two separate montage sequences showing the characters locked in hotel rooms for 2 full weeks while under quarantine for covid. They are all seen under emotional and mental distress. This is mostly played for laughs but may hit a little close to home for some.
  • Characters are seen having mental breakdowns throughout the film due to the immense pressure and stress put on them because of the rules of a Covid Era film set.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A character finds out her partner has taken a new woman while she has been away from home. As retaliation, she has sex with a soccer player she met earlier in the film, only to find out that the soccer player is married and has fathered multiple children with multiple women. He explains this is because he has an open relationship. The woman is shocked and disgusted upon learning this.
  • A dinosaur monster's penis is shown in a close-up shot. It is explained that blowing up the monster's genitals are the best way to kill it. The characters then discuss how absurd the concept is, referencing genitals in many terms.

Violence & Gore

  • While trying to escape from the hotel the characters are being held at, a woman has her hand shot off by the guards. She is seen flailing the bloody stump around. This whole scene is meant to be comical
  • During the end of the film, all of the main characters stage a breakout to escape the ridiculous restrictions of the film that they are working on. This entire sequence has multiple instances of slapstick violence and purposely bad fight choreography.
  • A man overdoses on drugs and goes into shock. Characters scramble to revive him, using epinephrine pens, steroid shots, defibrillators, etc. He can be seen foaming at the mouth. He is eventually revived and is fine
  • a man is split in half by two dinosaurs the scene is quite raw and violent although funny

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character is a massive drug addict. He is seen using a multitude of drugs throughout the film. He later overdoses and nearly dies.
  • Overwhelmed by the stress of the shoot, the main characters go on a huge drug binge together. At first they are seen dancing and laughing and having good time, but one of the characters overdoses and nearly dies. They are able to save him.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A character overdoses on drugs and nearly dies. Everyone scrambles to revive him with medications, injections, and defibrillators. He is resuscitated and shown to be fine.
  • A woman gets her hand shot off. The bloody stump is show in detail. Probably the most violent part of the film.
  • One character has a brief identity crisis where he admits his cheerful and positive disposition is a mask and that his entire celebrity persona is a complete lie. He is quite distressed upon admitting that he is a total fraud. A pretty emotional scene compared to the goofiness of the rest of the film.
