What is happening to this show??
poseidon-thoughts25 March 2021
I loved the Flash when the series started and there was so much excitement, but what has happened in the last couple of seasons? The episodes are kind of copy and paste the past few years. We have a new/old villain causing a problem with the Flash getting depressed because he can't defeat him/her, but then comes the little talk with one of the flash members and he instantly knows how to defeat the villain.Yet again we have a show where a villian was talked down into making the right choice same as the previous episode. We did have a scene of a possible new threat but the CGI didn't do it any favors. I also feel like the show doesn't know what to do with Iris West. They made her part of the team (she just randomly joined the team), they gave her powers, they threatened her life with Savitar, they made her dissappear for a while and now she is the speedforce keeper of some sorts? I'm not trying to insult the show but come on.

Less iris less speech more punching
orestisva29 March 2021
Season 1-3 was good but since then they added too many characters. Now I am not sure if Barry's superpower is talking or speed. Also I think they should rename the show to the name of the main character IRIS .I think without Iris the show would be better off.

Much better than the previous episode
dsptanmay24 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So many people are hating on the Iris scenes as though she's the main focus of the episode when she's really not. if she was given no closure, then people would complain again. Her mirror arc is wrapped up very nicely in this episode with her finally getting through her trauma.

The episode was fine. Nothing too great, but it wasn't bad either.

Kadabra getting killed was a major shock as I thought that he had been redeemed. But the episode sets up The Force Quest arc very nicely.

I hate to rate it this way
csmkickin24 March 2021
Just in case writers see this lol. The first part of the episode felt like a season 1-3 episode. Then they threw in the same generic villain story that they do with every filler episode. They need to change it up a little and have two part episodes like when Barry went back in time the first time. The Flash is the main character with Cisco and Caitlin being the sidekicks, but it doesn't feel like that anymore. They need to go back to that if they want me to enjoy it again. Have scenes where they actually dive into how they are gonna stop the big bad. Iris is like the main character now which i don't enjoy. She can't carry the show like Barry can. That's why the shows name is THE FLASH.

Writter are messing the show
aadesh-ajain24 March 2021
This show should be mainly focusing on the flash right? But no they want iris to carry the entire show and use barry as sidekick. And honestly its not possible.

The writers are totally messing it up. They should focus on barry which is much needed. I have an idea for writers if they are reading this then please send iris on vacation for entire season so that this show can come back on trap.

Haters are going to hate. This episode was good, not great, but its sets up for a, probably, great storyline ahead of the season. Haters are going to hate.

Say What?
Gislef25 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Maybe I'm just dense, but the story didn't seem to make any sense? What were the three obelisks? Who sent them and the bomb to 2021 Central City, and how and why? Why did Abra have to turn the shed into the first obelisk? Or if the obelisk was inside the shed... why? And how did ARGUS get the third obelisk?

David Dastmalchian was okay as Abra; the role had a little more depth than his Murdoc on 'MacGyver'. But even that generated a plot hole or two. If he was kind of a good guy with a family, why did he become a villain?

Also, I don't think memories work the way that they do here. The Crisis was a temporal event: you shouldn't be able to remember an eliminated timeline no matter what kind of memory enhanced you have access to. It's not a matter of biology, but of temporal/quantum physics. Okay, unless you're a Time Lord or something.

And another bit of weird characterization: why was Allegra at the Mirrorverse survivor meeting? She wasn't trapped in the Mirrorverse? Yes, she had issues with Eva and Nash, but that had nothing to do with being trapped in the Mirrorverse. So it's nice that she and Iris have a connection (what happened to Kamilla?). But what it had to do with the ending, I have no idea.

And it's another "Barry is the Paragon of Hope" episode that lets him save the day. Or he's the Paragon of Love, I forget. The production staff seem to use the two interchangeably. When he's the Flash, Barry is pretty much useless. Abra snares him with a metal halo, and the Strength Force Behemoth just... grabs him. Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, at least in the Snyder cut, wouldn't have these problems. What happened to the TV Flash's "bullet time"? I get that if Flash was shown as fast as he should be, most of the conflicts would be over in... a flash. But slowing him down this much just makes him look like an incompetent dweeb.

The bits with Cisco and Frost were good, because Valdez and Panabaker are class acts. Nicolet was wasted. And I'm already missing Tom Cavanagh as one Wells or another. I suppose the actor has another gig somewhere. Shame that.

So overall, a so-so episode that the production staff had a decent concept for. Central City dealing with Invasion 4.0. But they couldn't build a decent story around it, so they just tossed in the kitchen sink and ignored characterization.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. What do you think?

So... His super power is motivational speaking?
justcarlsen27 March 2021
Once again, the FLASH saves the day by talking to the villain and convincing them to pull a complete 180 on their evil plan. He didn't even need to run fast! I think they cancelled The Flash a few seasons ago and thought we wouldn't notice. They just didn't bother to pick a name for this new show that happens to have some of the same characters.

This Episode Is Not That Bad
g-11642-3842524 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Same as the last episode, they "defeat" the villian by talking, and they came up with this idea by talking too.I know this is boring, but as a episode that help this show transit from S6 to S7,Its not that bad.And the dialogue part is not abrupt as the last episode, and the theme is clear and unified. The best thing of this episode,is that it gives us seperated Cat ty and Forst .All in all,I think this show will give us a S1 vibe in the future episodes.

We really waited three weeks for Abra Kadabra to die?
demigodshmurda27 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, short answer of my review this week is that a course correction has been made. A VERY WELCOME course correction after the trash fire that was last week. Is it enough to save this season? Remains to be seen. As for my thoughts on the season as a whole thus far, I'm lukewarm on it. Episodes one and three were terrible, and episodes two and four started off good, but then did something right at the end that almost made the entire episode look terrible by proxy of being in the same episode as those scenes. If next week's episode ends up being bad again, I'm really gonna start thinking this season's just cursed or something.

For starters, Candice Patton showed up for work this week, and it was absolutely welcome! I always like it when the writers, you know, try to give Candice something to work with. I've always had respect for her for sticking with this role despite the backlash from fans, present company included. When she has something she can actually work with, she sells it! Her speech at the end of the episode was pretty great all things considered. I'm glad that something good has come from the Mirror Monarch bullcrap that's been going on this season. Who knew that all it took to fix Iris West-Allen was her getting kidnapped and sent to an alternate universe? Had I known, I would've asked the writers to do that ahead of season four. In all seriousness though, this was Iris's best week in a while, and that's definitely welcome. She acted like a human being and was nice to people this week. For once, Iris wasn't beyond basic human decency, and it was great!

Abra Kadabra was... Weird. Look, at least they tried, alright? More than I can say for what they did to Eva. Abra's death was underwhelming, but it was nice seeing David Dastmalchian again. He's always a fun presence on screen whether he's Abra Kadabra, or Murdoc on the MacGyver show. Not sure why he needed the wand since it's already established that he's basically magic, but it served its purpose so that in the third act he wasn't just doing vague hand-wavy stuff. It served its purpose. His plan overall was nice though, and I especially liked in the third act that Barry DIDN'T try to stop him. Barry already knows he can't beat him in a fight, so he didn't fight. I can see a lot of people not liking how that third act was handled, but I enjoyed it. It made logical sense, and CW sense. Plus, the idea of him being mad at Barry for Crisis taking away his family makes a lot of sense, and I like how Barry and Abra bonded over losing people, with Barry bringing up how he lost Oliver. That scene almost had me tearing up if I'm being honest. It worked.

Also, I don't think anyone expected that Killer Frost ending. Just... What even? I mean, I'm about it, but if this goes where I think it's going, which is Caitlin leaving and Frost being the one to stick around, that could turn me off of this twist very fast. It's cool for now though. I won't say I'm optimistic just yet, but I will say that I'm not completely dreading it.

This one was alright. Nothing amazing per se, but nothing completely terrible. Everyone got a moment to shine this week, even Chester with the "Jitter's Run" line, which was just enjoyable, and Allegra standing up to Iris. Someone has to stand up to her and make her develop. It's not gonna be Barry, and it's definitely not gonna be the writers. Even Barry had a moment to shine with that scene of him and Iris in the cortex. He really blames himself for the "Mirror Iris" thing, and it was great seeing that side of him. We haven't seen the self doubting Barry Allen since season three, and I'll welcome it back anytime. It makes him a more three-dimensional character.

I'll give this a 7/10 for the time being, may change down the road. Gotta give myself a while to process everything, ya know? Might have to move it down to a 6 just for the Abra Kadabra death just being completely glossed over though. Solid episode overall, but not perfect.

Welcome back to an episode of "Iris and some speedster with a maxed out speech"
melnikovvladimir24 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Gosh, this show just becomes unbearable. Even without the Iris parts this episode is really dumb. Barry literally whines for the last 8(?) episodes. "I've been tricked by a magician from 64th century, uwu. What? An antimatter bomb is about to destroy the whole city? Get the hell out of here with that and let me cry" is how I can summarize his character in this episode, hell, in most episodes of 6B and, particularly, 7x03. Do I need to remind you that pre - Eric Wallace Barry didn't break emotionally (well, almost) back in 4x15 when a real nuke has gone off and he tried to solve this situation WITHOUT MOTIVATIONAL PEP TALKS AND FORCED DRAMA.

And don't even get me started about "peptalking the villain out of doing evil stuff" thing. Can you imagine Barry beating Thawne, Zoom or Savitar alongside any villain of the week from S1 - S4 just by talking that being bad is bad? How has Barry turned from a powerful speedster into a psychiatrist? I don't the answer, ask the writers.

It's a shame that this show has turned into a full drama show rather than a superhero one, because some storylines look promising like Force Quest or Godspeed arcs. But let me tell you that I will be surprised if Barry won't beat by telling Godspeed that "creating clones and using Velocity to kill people is bad, pls stop, dude".

Overall, a really mediocre episode that, surprisingly, isn't a filler. I was really excited about the villain of 7A, but we all know he will be talked to by Team Flash, they will hold hands and live happily ever after

The power of WestAllen
RahulM00724 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The actual season 7 premiere of the Flash was mostly filler, but still had some huge moments that will be further addressed in the coming episodes.

This episode saw the return of Abra Kadabra (who has not been seen since season 3) and his intent on making the Flash feel his pain and suffering. Abra Kadabra lost his family due to the Crisis resetting everything, and now he wants vengeance. It was quite lukewarm when he redeemed himself at the end (however, his redemption arc was ephemeral).

I loved the bromance between Cisco and Chester in this episode. I was quite skeptical of how the series will handle both characters being part of Team Flash without it being contrived or overabundant, but they managed it quite nicely. Cisco playing Fortnite with Chester was so fun to see and further emphasises that their relationship will only strengthen the quality of the season.

My favourite moment of the episode was when Cisco interacted with the director of ARGUS aka Mr. Literal.

Due to the events of episode 3, a new meta human possessing the strength force, was created. At first glance, it seemed like the Flash is introducing a DC version of the She-Hulk character. Episode 5 introduces another villain named Psyche who possesses the sage force. Did the explosion in episode 3 also create other speedsters or just different forces?

Allegra and Iris's relationship blossomed in this episode. Their friendship became stronger and more mature. Iris promoting Allegra from intern to staff writer was a cute little moment they shared together. Iris is still reeling of being trapped in the Mirrorverse, and attended a support group where everyone is talking about their experiences in the Mirrorverse.

To conclude, despite the episode being mostly filler, it still was a blast to watch and had some huge reveals. It was revealed that Frost and Caitlin somehow managed to separate from each other. I wonder what kind of ramifications that will bring to Team Flash.

Favourite quote of the episode: "The Flash does not need big fists, he's got a big heart."

Side note: Nice wink to the cancelled Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off :(

Final verdict: 8.8/10

Another terrible episode from The iris and her side character the Flash. At this point I'm starting to question if this show will ever come back. There's only one way a new flashpoint deleting everything that has happened after season 3.

Why do I keep watching this?
Zethster26 March 2021
Most of the past seasons were great, but since it's become the Iris-and-friends-show, it gets more, and more, boring. Now, instead of a fight, every villain can be talked down, just by talking about love. I guess I keep watching, in the hope that the show will get back to it's roots, but that seems less and less llikely. Sadly, this show has gone from a show, I loved, and had to watch the moment it came out, to something that just runs in the background a few days later, while I do other stuff. Please, dear writers, get back to the basics, before this once great show, gets beyond saving.

Murderers are Heroes now?
nionios8888827 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Abra Cadabra killed an innocent person at the start of the episode and because he died of something unexpected suddenly "He died a Hero?". Is killing civilians something a hero would do?

It's the same thing like last episode where Flash let a lunatic villain accountable for multiple deaths get away like nothing happened.

What were the showrunners thinking in both occasions?

I feel someone there his job is to ruin the action scenes with nonsense and slowly transform the show from sci-fi action to pure drama and finally get canceled.

Absolute Boredom.
wetmars25 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Completely unwatchable, Abra Kadabra's death felt nothing. I wanted to cry during Oliver's death but, I couldn't. He's like my favorite Arrowverse Character of all-time. Anyways, more craziness where Iris splits herself into two. Most of the scenes overall were extremely cringe, especially that Fortnite one. Horrendous CGI on the big monster, what the hell? It looks like CGI from almost two decades ago. My thoughts on Abra Kadabra, the character himself? Hell, perfect casting, had potential. It's just the writing. One of the writing staff has to be fired seriously. I want to enjoy this show and sadly, I haven't since Season 5.

1/10.

All I'm seeing is a ton of Iris, and other irrelevant side characters. Barry has been literally reduced to a simp. At some point, this show needs to at least try and redeem itself. This is atrocious.

jpsqueeble24 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm tired of the stupid iris messages that repeats itself every episode, then Kadabra was way too powerful to be deafeated and that bomb should have gone off and everyone should have died and the episode would have been way better, then he died by a punch from that weird hulk dude. Just a punch. Wow great writing, the flash talking villains out of doing evil stuff is stupid. This show belongs in the toilet

This show has got destroyed in the last 2 episodes, stop emphasising your utopia that some lovely words will turn villains(lol) to good. The show is going worse and worse, I hope it ends soon because it is destroying its legacy that had been built upon Season1 and Season2.
