O m g!

Warning: Spoilers
By the end of this movie, you will be so sick and tired of this villain, you will want to scream!!! I know I was!!

First of all, how was this a Lifetime movie????!!? It definitely seemed more like a movie you would stream. It was a lot more violent and bloody than most of the movies shown on the network. Personally, I was so frustrated with this movie because the lead actress could've gotten away so many times, yet the annoying villain somehow always got to her. It was so stupid at times, but I kept watching because i wanted to see the guy pay. One of the dumbest parts was when the girl was in a car that tumbled like 20 times, and she survived without a scratch on her! I honestly could not wait for this stupidity to end!

Wow that was intense!!
juliacalos1 May 2024
I was reading reviews on a movie similar to this one and came across a review that recommended this movie. So I added it to my watchlist and tonight I decided to watch it. This movie kept me at the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It was so intense. The acting was amazing especially from the main character, Sarah. Loved her determination and quick thinking. The driver had really great scare tactics. But Sarah overcame them every time. That's what kept me watching. I have never heard of Lucía Guerrero, but I think I am going to check out her filmography because she was amazing in this movie. I highly recommend watching this movie.

It lost all credibility in the huge plot hole near the beginning
deedrala3 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"Driven" / "Driven to Murder"

Sociopathic psycho kills his rideshare driver for no reason, which launches a murderous overnight crime spree centered around the female lead/protagonist, for seemingly no reason. Motive never even hinted at, much less given, as to why he was "driven to murder" (or maybe the title refers to the murder Sarah committed at the end).

Major plot hole near the beginning was so contrived and obvious, because otherwise the movie would have ended there and only lasted 30-40 minutes. It happened during the car wash scene, when the killer was taking his sweet time wiping every inch of the front end of the stolen car and the victim was in the restroom calling her friend Matt. Not only did she change her mind about him picking her up there after initially asking him to, but she inexplicably talked him out of calling the police when he offered to! She was perfectly safe in the restroom until the police would have arrived there to take control of the very strange, unsettling situation, but she stupidly told Matt NOT TO CALL THEM and didn't call them herself.

So that enabled the next hour of mayhem in which she was almost killed several times, along with her friends and other innocent people being killed - none of which would have happened if she had explained the unsettling events to Matt while she was safe in the restroom with her phone and either urged him to call the police or called them herself.

Adam Blake's excellent performance (I had never heard of him until now) was the only reason I gave it more than one star.

Grade D / 3 out of 10.

RIDICULOUS!
lorettaf-224363 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There I was waiting to find out the killers reason for targeting her, and... nothing! Literally no reason given. We never find out who he is, why he did what he did, or why he continued after her allowing her to live and killing everyone around her. During the events, she not once asked who he was or why he was doing what he was doing. This movie was poorly written! Viewers dont even bother! Ridiculous!

Cautionary Tale- This is one DON'T SEE waste of time
hoops-534361 May 2022
Billed as a "cautionary tale" about ride sharing, this piece of crap is just a load of gratuitous killing. If you like senseless slayings you will love this. No characters that you really care about and the usual 'make the woman look like a clueless bumpkin. She could have finished him off when she hit him with the rock, but no, as usual, tried to run away.

A couple hours of my life that I can't get back but I can offer this cautionary tale- skip this stupid senseless crap.

Watch the Trailer you know what you are in for..
info-33258-808262 May 2022
I think if you watch the trailer you get a sense of what you are in for with this one. Its a total throwback to those thriller movies of the 90's but with a more modern premise. It felt like watching a terminator movie but without the plot, I had fun watching it, I think the performances in the movie are a cut above what you usually get in this kind of movie.

Senseless
pumping_iron-15 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I got through half of this movie. It actually took me two tries to get through half of it. It was so boring and very slow developing. So slow that I no longer cared why this psychopath was killing people for no reason that I could see. Lucia Guerrero (Sarah) might have prevented the cafe killings of the police officer and the waitress if she had opened her mouth and answered the officer's questions. The officer might have gone on his way if she had just answered his questions. Instead she yells gun and gets them killed. That scene made absolutely no sense to me. It was ridiculous. After that scene, I was through trying to make sense out of this movie.

Driven To Entertain!!

Every Actor does an amazing job. Our leads Adam and Lucia maintain a brilliant performance throughout the entire film. It's an original psychological thriller with some unexpected twists and turns. I want a sequel!!!!

Unpleasant Joyride
lavatch12 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
At the start of "Driven to Murder," the filmmakers offered a written disclaimer about the violence to follow in the film. But the message was an understatement of how gruesome and unpleasant the ride would be.

In the horror genre, there is always an element of suspense. In this film, there was no suspense because it was clear from the outset that Sarah would not escape the clutches of her psychopathic driver until a climactic ending sequence.

The pacing was sluggish with lengthy sections with no dialogue. In the actions scenes, it seemed improbable that anyone could survive the car crashes.

The body count piled up so high that it is difficult to enumerate all of the casualties at the hands of the psycho Jason. The saddest death was that of Sarah's boyfriend Matt.

It seemed disingenuous of the filmmakers to tack on a final scene in which Sarah is leading a support group for survivors of violent crime. The message rang hollow after some of the most gratuitous acts of violence imaginable.

Quite THE RIDE!!!
Chartreuse17 May 2022
Sarah called a rideshare to head home and gets a psychotic killer as her driver who is on a killing spree and he nearly kills her but she's very lucky to have survived! It is never explained why he targeted her, though. Still and all, one of the better Lifetime movies year in the THRILLER category, this year. Adam Blake was very convincing as Mr. Driver! Highly recommended but rather gory and violent!!!

Not your typical Lifetime Movie
phil-595563 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This review will have spoilers!!! You've been warned

Ok, so I don't usually write reviews but lately I've just been seeing some ridiculous 1 star reviews on too many movies from people who have never made a movie and don't understand that some movies require some understanding film history. This movie is a great call back to the thrillers of the 80/90's lots of gore, it gets moving very fast, the one thing I loved was that they dont give the killer any explanation or backstory, he is just a force of nature, this might rub people the wrong way but for me I love when a villain is something that cannot be reasoned with (jaws, heath ledgers Joker, etc) I love that everyone has a grounded performance despite some wild circumstances. I would have liked a bit more of Matt and Sarah screen time , I loved the moment he came to get her after the police had arrived, no dialogue, but the look in his eyes and the way they embrace you really felt it. I think the story could have benefited from seeing more of them early on to set up the pay off of his brutal death. Other than that I think this movie is totally worth a watch, Blake is fucking terrifying in the best way.

Great flick
jtpinkowski15 June 2022
Excellent performances by the cast, and a fun tight 90 minute thrill ride. It's well paced and never feels like it's dragging, and a there is a renewed sense of dread whenever a new character is introduced.
