Best Ever!

This has been the best ever book to movie I have ever seen. Tusca was great at the casting and took pride and care to the real story by Sylvian Reynard!

Really a 6.8 rating??
marwillreview7 May 2021
Wow! I watched this, and just like Part One. I barely made it through the whole thing. I'm sorry, but now that I've seen both movies... was there no other way of simplifying it? EVERYTHING in the book kinda made it into the movie. I get that Passionflix is trying to have the reader experience the book on screen, but simplifying it would've MAYBE made this movie a bit better. Or I'm just giving it too much credit. All I have to say is watch at your own risk if you hate cringe!

Wonderful second part
nleghait10 January 2021
The second part is absolutely sublime and always faithful to the book. The beginning of Gabriel and Julia's love story is magnificent to look at and totally in the spirit of the book.

Guys, what the hell ?!
impressivesgirl-3785717 March 2021
Why this has such a huge score - yes, its slightly better than the first one, but oh boy!! This movie is so shallow, the story is so well known and boring at this point. There is no acting whatsoever, everything is poorly made and then I see this score. The first one was a pain to watch, actually the books were also borderline fantasy with this stupid good virgin poor girl/ sexy rich bad boy stereotype and they were hard to be read, also I am a fan of the genre. This is getting ridiculous.

It's a beautiful film
annasimpkins19 January 2022
It is like sitting back and watching Gabriel Emerson awaken to Julia Mitchel. The way the movie was filmed was incredible and pulls you into the story. You are glued to your seat watching the story of these two complexed characters. The director did an amazing job.

Film over the years lost romance. You can't find a film that pulls at your heart strings and let me tell you this one does. You feel for the characters and watch them grow and you feel the emotional turmoil. It's an incredibly good film. If there were more films like this the film industry wouldn't be doing so bad. This movie is terrific eye candy.

fifty shades but with another look!
asinatkhurshid22 October 2022
It is so horrible , i never feel that julia give any reaction "sad. Laughing, loving ,angry" all the same face , like an poker face ! Godness , and why you try so hard to be like fifty shades "both of christian and gabriel were an orphans and their mother name is "Grace" ha! Is it coincidence? Why there was a woman play with this orphan guy in some day when he was in darkness and she want to control him?please ! I feel sorry about watching this movie really even the actor can give a good acting in another movies , he was great , may be Giulio can make his career developing if he choose a good stories in the future , i feel he can be a strong actor.

better than Gabriel's Inferno part 1!
LindaL1005 March 2022
Before I start my review I just want to let people know that the original Gabriel's Inferno movie was initially over 5 hours long because the book it was based on is very long, so in order to reduce the run-time, they had to cut the movie into 3 separate parts, part 1 was released in May 2020 and part 2 was released on July 31, part 3 finishes the story of the first book and was released in November 2020. So parts 1, 2 and 3 are basically just 1 whole movie cut into 3 parts and they are all based on the first book of the Gabriel's Inferno series.

Now to my review, I loved part 1 but it pales compared to part 2, while part 1 mainly introduced the characters and very slow-paced, the story continues in part 2 and this is when the relationship between the main characters Gabriel and Julia really intensifies and becomes a lot more passionate and intimate and romantic. There is not much story to part 2 other than watching the 2 characters finding each other again and falling in love with each other, part 2 is a lot more passionate and erotic and sensual because of the intensity of their relationship and a lot more romantic compared to part 1. While I thought the acting was not bad and the chemistry between the actors was good in part 1, but the acting and chemistry really elevated to new heights in part 2, the acting improves in part 2 and the chemistry between Giulio and Melanie is incredible! I can really feel the deep love they have for each other in every scene with them!

Redundant and Stagnant, poorly written & directed
zero_imacat3 April 2022
I've never read the books, but stumbled across the very first movie in the series: Gabriel's Inferno.

I decided to watch the whole story, and after the first 3 films, they become very repetitive, using the same shots/scene set ups. The lighting and cinematography at times is not very flattering for the lead (Julia). Gabriel at times sounds like he is mumbling his lines.

Some scenes could've been left on the cutting room floor during editing. The direction and writing has become stale & stagnant. Overall it's a boring story, poorly executed.

An enticing suite
vanessahuvier11 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This sequel is better than the first movie. What marked me first were ... the close-ups. Very close-ups. They are rarely used at this point. There were already some in the first film but there, they are quite visible, especially in the scene where Julia and Gabriel kiss each other in the latter's office after their argument. Usually when two characters kiss in a movie, we have an overview and it's very good, it's very beautiful but there ... I don't know, it changes and it's just as good . Maybe even better because we are closer to these characters, to their emotions. And then their story develops. We understand it better and we always want to see more of it.

The Pain Continues
bbbuttons16 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
You get over the fact that this is a terrible adaptation of the book, you forgive the slow Part One and then you ave to settle into the cold hard reality that this is not going to get any better. With 4 more movies in the series the only hope is that each film is a short and Gabriel's stamina in the bedroom. 14 minutes of foreplay and less than a minute of action. Poor Gabriel but proof that he is the only decent actor on the set.

So much of the books isn't in words. It is in pauses, symbolism and the imagination and that is just too big of an ask for the Julia character to pull off on screen. She comes off as a victim in need of a Mr Grey.

The fans want this series so bad they are willing to overlook and fill in the gaps in their minds but if you haven't read the books this film is as painful and Dantes levels of hell.

You get the sense not one person on the set has ever read Dante's anything. They probably have even watch the action film Dantes Peak.

Favorite part

Warning: Spoilers
This is my favorite part of the film trilogy. I've read the books so many times but still I was on the edge of my seat the whole time before they decided to give their relationship a chance.

Something refreshing
ahilsb16 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, its not a big Hollywood production with very famous actors. But its good, its a nice story, the actors have one of the best chemistry I have ever seen.

Considering most of the scenes are meant to be cringe, the actors played them very well.

I have never read the book, so I didnt know what will happen. So I was really shocked when the sex scene was at the end of the 3rd movie. But that created ao much tension that if I was a man I would probably have a bo*er the whole time I was watching. Because Im crazy for destined love stories like this one.

Yes, there were a few clichés here and there, but they made me feel good instead of hating the movie.

Congrats to the team who brought it to life. Im thinking of reading the book too.

Fantastic Romantic
My5terygi5l18 May 2022
The trolls are out. These movies are wonderful. The acting and directing are wonderful. Each one is a continuation of the prior film. It envelopes you into the main characters story and you can't stop watching. Very romantic.

A hit!
eimming14 August 2022
I really enjoyed part 2, we continue to dive deep into the characters and how their pasts align them together. It's such a great movie, I was surprised it doesn't get better reviews.
