The Swedish answer to "Elite"
laduqesa5 September 2021
Unfortunately, Elite is a riot of Spanishness with glamorous frocks for the girls and snazzy clothes for the guys. This series, being Swedish, is far more restrained and it misses out for that.

Yes, we have intermingling stories, as in Elite, of poor kids and rich kids but they aren't at the same school, but in different schools across the river from each other. There's a murder too and the same closing of ranks with the poor kids getting blamed.

The storylines are as absurd and holes in the plot as enormous as those in the Spanish series. This was less fun though.

Season Two is coming everyone! This first season ended on a cliffhanger.

Good young actors, terrible production!
eliasljunggren23 August 2021
This is becomes almost a satire when the prodution team fails horrible with the environment of the boarding school and get "eyes wide shut" hubris.

The young actors are good but the whole production with the director in the top is a big failiure.

Not worth your time...

Awful and PC
petercarlsson-9229724 August 2021
The directing is terrible, with shaky camera, and childish movements. The lighting are also disastrous and dark.

There is a very annoying PC theme straight through everything. The moral message are pressed down the viewers throats in almost every scene. The activist teacher are just boring and there's not one character to like or root for. Waste of time.

Should come with a motion sickness or seizure warning
indeedshouts23 August 2021
I watched the first episode and found the story interesting and the acting convincing.

But the camera work is so messy and claustrophobic that it gave me motion sickness and the end of the episode almost warrants a seizure warning.

Will not continue to watch this, the plot is simply not worth the annoying, messy and chaotic production.

Captivating with great acting!

Really excited to see this one. Captivating from the start with strong acting, especially from Valter Skarsgård & Alva Bratt.

A total waste of time
wcfdrqy24 August 2021
A terrible, boring plot and its not very believable. Low quality production and at times very (!) embarrassing dialogue. I wish I could get the hours of my life I spent watching this show back, thank you!

Disaster

The story and directing is terrible. The dialogue is embarrasing. Some of the acting is decent.

Pretty wack
emileriksson-7630322 November 2021
Nothing really happened and there was alot of stuff that never really added up even after they wrapped up the season. A pretty shallow story with no real depth to it. I will not watch season two. Wrong kind of actors for various types of roles as well.

Brilliant acting, intriguing story
elibo9624 August 2021
This show just gets better for each episode. The young actors have natural dialogue which I can actually relate to without getting the feeling that some 50+ year old man has written it.

The camerawork seems to be a common complaint; I agree that it could use an epilectic warning, and there's way too many close shots which make you a bit nauseous. Hopefully this improves for season 2.

Good
wendajones26 August 2021
Not a perfect production but I really enjoyed it. Acting for the most part very good. Underlying themes of trusting your own judgement and not letting yourself be bludgeoned into anything were my bonus take and also the locations were intriguing. Don't compare this with more professional US or UK series though. It's its own thing!
