So Bad it Made Me Angry
jpod64215 September 2021
It was not good. Too much jumping around timeline and not explaining anything. The ending was awful.

As said I got quite angry watching it because it was so bad.

So bad it almost makes it good

Is this the next 'The Room'? Maybe not. But with the number of random awkward scenes it sure comes close.

Besides the badly scripted lines, there are so many added scenes that have no storyline or meaning to the plot.

Talking about plot, I don't think there is one, or at least I didn't catch it.

Saying all of this, I still do recommend watching it (as long as it's with friends). The laughs you'll have afterwords trying to explain the movie to each other is well worth it.

Highly recommend!

I loved Slammer from beginning to end. It required concentration but takes the viewer on a journey with unexpected twists and turns. Highly recommended for true lovers of film.

Torturous to Watch
harrietaya10 September 2021
I struggle to put it into words.

It was torture.

The budget for the film was about £35 on production; it almost felt like they forgot to edit out scenes from 99% of the movie (yes the only good part were the credits in the end - because of the sense of relief that it was over)

The film producers kept trying to induce epileptic episodes - consistent lights flicking. It induced my chronic migranes

There was no story line.

None of the actors were even remotely good looking. The entire 2hr movie consisted of 4 scenes just chopped and looped together.

All the props were bought from poundland.

Exceptionally terrible. Not even to the point of being funny.

Fixed to seat and screen

A considerable feat during lockdown. Interesting concepts, visually engaging, great sound, acting performances excellent. Some confusing plot lines and occasional awkward scripting. Kept one fixed to seat and screen. Feels like some novice mistakes but by a talented newcomer.

Original and gripping
Khalida8813 September 2021
I went in not knowing what to expect but I really loved this. It is a bit confusing to start with as it keeps you guessing and it moves around between scenes but then in the second half the different strands start to come together. At the end some things are left unexplained so there are different interpretations.. but for me that makes a film much more interesting than having it all spelt out for you! It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was great- original, gripping and great acting.

Expect the unexpected
basiarapa11 September 2021
Taking into consideration Slammer was completed during the pandemic, I think it's impressive what was achieved despite restrictions. The plot was interesting (though confusing at times), and I found Flora Montgomery's performance impressive in particular.

This may not be the Hollywood quality movie we're used to seeing on the big screen, but I'd deffinately recommend watching it.

Not a fan
hana77200011 September 2021
I hate to say, but I wasn't a fan of this. The story was confusing and barely there, and what was up with the animated scenes??? That was very odd. Some of the acting fell flat, particularly that of Rat; but honestly, it made it kind of funny. The sound was a bit odd and the voice mixing was loud at times. I liked the idea, and it was funny to talk about but that's it.

Couldn't take it anymore

Went into this with a completely open mind and tried my very best to make sense of what I was watching - to no avail.

The relationship between the characters is poorly explained, their stakes couldn't be more unclear, the dialogue was offensive to one's intellect and the editing was godawful, with no sense of coherence or cohesiveness whatsoever.

And this was only Act 1. Didn't stay for the rest as I felt absolutely no reason to, given the miserable set-up

Such a pity.
