Worth it

I subscribed to dekkoo for this. Love to get pulled on the heart strings. The acting is a bit on the weak side, but still charismatic. Great cinematography. Would have loved to see more.

Deserves to be a Feature

Warning: Spoilers
Ever since my husband died about 3 years ago, I've been unsettled and unable to find a through-line in my life, and this film, short as it is, touched on themes I hadn't really been thinking about. Sam lost his husband to a sudden accident, whereas I lost mine to years of fighting a brain tumor. I can't imagine having to deal with the sudden loss of the love of my life, although I don't think the gift of time did anything to help me deal with the loss of my love of 23.5 years.

The broad themes covering love, loss and grief in this short film deserve a feature-length treatment by this writer. I hope she finds the rest of the story to tell that can finish Sam's story and perhaps shed light on how he might find his way back into life while allowing him to address his loss.

The actor playing Sam is at once attractive, frumpy, lacking focus but still intensely focused on his loss. I would love to see his story play out.
