Video Violence 2 Meets Man Bites Dog

Serial killers reach out to each other via a website. The content is filled by celebrity serial killers who show off their particular style of life stopping.

You need a weird sense of humour(which most of us have anyways) to enjoy the mayhem that unfolds with most special guests being killed or helping to kill. The tone of the film is mostly dark comedy not really being scary or disturbing.

The gore is pretty good for being low budget(this is a Brain Damage film). the movie however does get mundane at times which explains the 77 minute runtime. You should notice similarities to Video Violence 2 with a sprinkling of Deathrow Gameshow and a watered down Man Bites Dog.

I'm probably being unfair since this movie did come out in 2006 almost 132 serial killer website/cable show/underground networks ago. I would have given it a six back then.

Extremely fast action with blood and gore

This film is packed with fast action. This fast action is what I want to see. It seems too many independent movies have long drawn out plots with excessive character creation. This movie gets to the action and it is non-stop. The non-stop action was the same reason I was attracted to the Indiana Jones Movies. Many of the special effects are so realistic that I cannot tell the difference. Some of the special effects are ones that I have never seen before. Actually I am not sure they are not real. It was like the film-maker had access to real, previously unknown blood and gore scenes and put them into the movie. The editing together of all the Slashers seems to be an impossible task but by using the Narrator concept along with a continuous theme the film-maker successfully pulled it off. I also liked the multitude of ways the film-maker found to eliminate people. These combined read like an Inquisition textbook. In fact it reminds me of the Spanish Inquisition as if it had been done without the religious support. There is no religion and no politics here it is just rapid blood and gore.

It's hard to find a great mix of comedy and gore, where neither overshadows the other. It's fun and laugh out loud funny from beginning to end, along with a LOT of gory surprises along the way. It's a MUST see for any fan of independent horror. To quote an old favorite movie of mine " You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll puke, you'll die!" I think my absolute favorite part of the movie is the chainsaw decapitation scene. I'm a huge horror fan myself, and I've seen a lot of these type of things attempted. This was hands down the BEST one I've EVER SEEN! If you really pay attention in the scene, you can actually see the girl blink just before the chainsaw tears its way through her head with no remorse! Again, if you haven't seen it, you're really missing out!

"Slashers Gone Wild" is more than a slice and dice puff piece. It speaks to the level of social separatism found in our everyday society while maintaining a sense of humor regarding the cannibalistic and consumerism nature of the human "beast". It destroys beauty in order to rebuild it in a way one may not thought to have looked at it before. As I said previously... "Slashers" is like hard sex... for the eyes. I say this because it makes you look at the dirty and ugly and find the fetal truth that lies beneath. Also it's a clear path through one man's psyche and his way of seeing the world that has so far made little sense to him outside of being a canvas for his creative genius.... or lunacy. However you mix the soup it's still one savory dish I'll happily have second helpings of.

This one of the best horror flicks that I have seen in a long time! The special effects were great and the characters were really cool! I got a kick out of the movie, even the parts that made me sick! There is this one scene involving a chainsaw and a tied up girl that tops anything I have seen in a horror flick! They even managed to throw in some flesh eating zombies ( they could have used more of this) There were some really funny Saturday Night Live style skits and some fake commercials. These skits usually ended in bloodshed. I swear, there were at least two dozen murders and most of them were pretty sick! I got a huge kick out of this movie and I hope there is more to come!

What more can I say about this film? It blew me away! I got a chance to see it at Screamfest 2008 and it was great! I bought a copy and I have watched it many times since. I was not prepared for how much action was in this movie, I highly recommend this film for anyone that enjoys movies with tons of blood and gore. My girlfriend almost threw up watching the movie! She still loves it! The slashers in this movie are great. This movie had more creative kills than Friday the 13th! My favorite slasher was Kevin Tooler, I think he deserves his own movie! He creates a bunch of zombies and attacks his rival Rob the Slasher. Rob the slasher was pretty cool as well. The chainsaw murders he commits are pretty wicked! Seeing this movie was one of the highlights of going to Screamfest, I am glad I came!

I love this movie! It's so different from the lame crap that we horror/gore lovers are fed today by the mainstream. It's got blood and guts and twisted humor ... what more could you ask for? I love that Lunatic Rob is helping to rid the population of stupid people like the idiots that inspect scary noises alone in the dark. That's Darwinism! Of course the extermination of litter bugs is excellent too. The slashers are heroes in there own ways. And who doesn't like rooting for the evil side! It has all the makings of a new cult classic. I have an autographed copy (that's right, I'm better than you) of the DVD that I am wearing out showing it to all my friends. Watch it and spread the word!

I heard about this movie and ordered it from their website. This movie is incredible! I got so sick of seeing movies that claim to be bloody and brutal only to get cheap halloween mask and laim cheap special effects! This movie kicked ass and took names! The story was hilarious! Slashers having a contest for " Slasher of the Year" There were so many murders in this movie! This is one of those rare films that lives up to its title! There is this cannibal named Jack and he has a cooking show about the proper way to cook a girls brains! I have one word for it " Nasty" I dare anyone to try to eat something during that scene! This movie is not just a gore soaked masterpiece, but it is funny as hell! There are movies that try to be serious and end up being funny, and there are movies like Slashers Gone Wild that try to be funny and succeed. The humor is well crafted and sometimes just about as wicked as the gore. My only complaint is that there were no naked guys. In Girls Gone Wild, you get naked girls right? So why no naked slashers? Okay, maybe I am being silly. Yeah, but this movie is pretty damn cool and I am not putting my copy up on ebay anytime soon!
