Superb Performances!

'I AM 24' offers Superb Performances, which alone, are worth watching. As a film, its decent, but a monotonous second-hour acts as a deterrent.

Saying the truth was always difficult, and lying, they say, is much simpler. Shubendu lives by the tougher option. But when this honest, 42 year old balding writer falls in love with a 22 year old beauty queen, he is tempted to lie. What's more, his jerk of a roommate, Gagan, who swears by the magic of lies, helps him cook up stories. What follows is a hilarious ride of lies, cover-ups, goof-ups and contradicting tales.

'I AM 24' has an interesting premise & most of the jokes/sequences work, but they are limited in its first-hour. The second-hour is monotonous & lacks proper pacing. Once the protagonist, played by Rajat Kapoor, decides to spill out the truth to his lady-love, one expects the graph to go higher, but sadly, it doesn't. Also, the climax looks hurried.

The Screenplay is good in the first-hour, but slips in the second-hour. Saurabh Shukla's Direction is simplistic. Cinematography, Editing & Art Design, are fair.

Performance-Wise: Rajat Kapoor is wonderfully restrained. He's in terrific form here. Ranvir Shorey is fun to watch. His comedic areas stand out. Neha Dhupia is simply brilliant. Manjari does a passable job. Vijay Raaz is, as always, first-rate. Saurabh Shukla shows up in an entertaining cameo.

On the whole, 'I AM 24' appeals in parts, but the performances win you over.

nice movie with a different concept

A middle aged man who resorts to lies in order to retain the love of his life and the struggles of budding actors who hope to make it big.This is what'I M 24' is all about.A movie directed by Saurabh Shukla,the movie has been produced by Arindam Chaudhuri's Planman Motion Pictures.Rajat Kapoor playing the role of a hesitant middle aged man to the hilt. Ranvir Shorey and Neha Dhupia have made a nice contribution and make the audience burst into laughter with their childish antics. Lilette Dubey and Saurabh Shukla who played on screen couple fit the bill perfectly with their acting wonder.Jatin Pandit's music is good and the songs are catchy as well. Overall I M 24 is a simple story that has been narrated in a simple manner and must be watched at least once.

Ranvir Shorey was Excellent in the movie

Another planman Production with lot of fun and entertainment.I am a big fan of Ranvir Shorey and the way he acted in this movie,how he helps Rajat Kapoor to befool a girl on internet about his age,his dialogs,i like all of that.I have seen all the movies given by Planman Production and like all of that but this is the best movie i have seen.Movie with lot of fun,adventures,lies,romance.Very few movies contains all these things together and this is the one.Rajat kapoor Girl Manjri Fadnis is also good in this movie,but Ranvir Shorey acting,drama was awesome.I had a great fun while watching the movie.Those who haven't watch it,must watch,you'll had fun.

An outstanding movie.......

I m 24 starring Rajat Kapoor & Ranveer Shorey in the lead is an outright romantic comedy.It is about a middle aged man,played by Rajat kapoor who falls for a girl who is much younger than him.It is about how in his desire to get the girl's love in return he goes on to tell number of lies.This is where the plot begins and takes an interesting turn. Ranveer Shorey is good as always.This just might be one of his better performance.Neha Dhupia,Manjari and Rajat Kapoor have made valuable contributions to the movie. Go and watch the movie guys to know more about the how the movie moulds after so many lies and truths.It is an outstanding movie and worth each penny spent on it.

I M 24 is a fantastic movie directed by Saurabh Shukla.A full on entertainment with some brilliant performances.It stars Rajat Kapoor and Ranveer Shorey along with Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fandis. Rajat Kapoor and Ranveer Shorey are brilliant and have managed to make the audience enjoy every bit of their performance.Though Neha Dhupia has less chance in this movie to show her acting skills but she is good. For me I M 24 is all about Rajat and Ranveer and their superb acting.The role of Shubendu,a 42years old man has been excellently played by Rajat Kapoor,who is an honest guy throughout his life until he meets Manjari.He is very well supported by Gagan,played by Ranveer who helps Shubendu to win over the young girl's heart.All this tricks and tips involves lot of lies and who better than Gagan to guide Shubendu.This is I M 24 and how everything turns out after so many lies.Watch it guys,you will love it.

Strugglers to attain their desires

Filmmaker Saurabh Shukla plays with the idea of human wants very well as he shows two struggler's taking to all means to attain their desires, for one of being a young and successful writer and for the other of being an actor. The film is also a satirical representation of the film world and the lives of the filmy people. Ranvir Shorey is probably the biggest reason of comedy in the film. The way he delivers his lines and mouths funny dialogs cracks the audiences up almost instantly. Even the comic antics between the trio of Vijay Raaz, the waiter cum struggling actor, Saurabh Shukla, the film producer and Lilette Dubey his secretary is brilliant.

A good and enjoyable experience

I m 24 is the story of Shubendu(Rajat Kapoor),a 42 years old man who only believes in speaking out the truth.But there comes a time in his life when he is tempted to lie.He one day meets Kanika played by Manjari Fadnis and falls in love with her.Then starts interesting journey of lies and truths. The journey is made more interesting when his room mate Gagandeep played by Ranvir Shorey helps him in cooking up stories.Shubendu in order to impress Kanika goes on telling lies and enjoys all this.But all his stories and lies had to come to an end.It does make a good and entertaining movie to watch.Saurabh Shukla has directed the film and has done a good job.He has made a good and thoroughly enjoyable movie.

I am always curious to know about the planman production movies because although the movies are small budget films but their subject,story, screenplay,dialogs are just awesome.I was waiting from a long time for planman productions to release such a nice movie and they came,this time with comedy,not just comedy but awesome comedy.The movie starts with Shubhendu Roy(Rajat Kapoor) around 40 years of age,a struggling writer trying to model himself on something between Ram and Raja.Shubhendu meets wannabe beauty queen Kanak (Manjari Fadnis) in an online chat-room, and overnight his life spirals into a 'web' of lies. He's suddenly a 24-year-old, writing films for the Chopras and Johars, with a six-pack,sex-appeal, and soccer stars like Maradona and Beckham for friends.

Last weekend when i was getting bored and changing channels on my television then on one channel this movie was coming and me and my brother together watch this movie.I have heard about this comic movie from my friend but hadn't get opportunity to watch it.Taking about my choice,i find the movie was very entertaining and advice all my friends to watch this movie in free time.I am 24 is the movie that has something different in it and something that guarantees of many funny moments with good dialogs and perfect star cast.We have seen Ranvir Shorey in many comedy movie and perhaps this is his one of the best movie in his carrier and had given an excellent performance.

Good acting and good storyline...a must watch film.

I did not expect this movie to be the kind of entertainer that it actually is.Loved it completely.And all credits to writer director Saurabh Shukla and his trump cards Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shorey. Ranvir Shorey particularly I would like to say is really impressive in his role as Gagandeep.He plays the role of Shubendu's(Rajat Kapoor) friend and room mate who also help him Shubendu to win over Kanika's love. Shubendu is a 42 years old man,a very simple and bald person falling for a much younger girl.Shubendu who was an honest and simple man till now starts changing for this girl and goes on to tell number of lies and fake stories.In all this,he is helped by Gagandeep.The film becomes more and more interesting as it unfolds.Good music and good acting.I M 24 is a complete entertainment package and with the kind of performance Ranvir and Rajat Kapoor have given,it indeed is a must watch.

Very funny throughout

I have seen all movie from planman productions and my favorite was their debut movie Do Dooni Chaar.Planman production always entertain us with their excellent movie with excellent subjects.I m 24 is a Surabh Shukla directed movie and has many brilliant comic actors and and may brilliant comic scenes.The movie was very funny throughout.Both Ranvir Shorey and Saurabh Shukla were awesome in the movie.Their comic timing was mind blowing and together they creates spark in the movie.I M 24 is also about how Gagandeep(Ranvir Shorey) helps Shubendu to impress the love of his life. Shubendu falls for Kanka(Manjari Fadnis) and to impress her,he starts lying to huge extent, something he never tried. Gagan on the other hand helps him to cook up fake stories to win over Kanka.

I M 24 is worth watching,has all elements of a great entertaining movie.

I M 24 is Saurabh Shukla's romantic comedy for the people of all age.It is the story of a 42 years old man who falls in love with a very young girl.The entire movie takes a very funny and interesting turn as it unfolds. I M 24 has all elements of a good funny movie.Added to all this the superb performance by Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shorey.Ranvir Shorey is a mind blowing comic actor and in this movie I have loved each scene of his.Rajat Kapoor who plays the role of Shubendu and the lead actor of the film is also superb. Both of these actors are very well supported by Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis.I would never mind watching this film again and again just to see the superb performance by the two actors.

Particularly,i like the songs in the movie.All the songs in the movie was very nice,One of my favorite song in the movie is 'Abhi Abhi Toh Mere Dil Mein' which is a slow soothing track that will touch your heart. Lyrics are meaningful and manage to convey emotions of the protagonist.Another one my favorite,'Chota Sa Sapna Hai Yeh' which is rendered by Shreya Ghoshal is also a very nice song. It's a sweet melodious track. Shreya is the right choice for the song and the composition of the song is really good. Jaspreet Singh has given his all.

The way Ranvir Shorey acts in the movie,his comic timing,his dialogs are excellent.Not only Ranvir Shorey but other actors,Rajat kapoor,Neha dhupia,Manjari fadnis,are also brilliant.

He is 42, bald and has never lied in life. She is 22, wannabe beauty queen, and he falls in love with her. To win her over, lying is the easy way out.A scene-stealer here is also Ranvir Shorey, as Shubhendu's roommate, struggling actor Gagandeep. The guy is quite the sly fox, master at cooking up stories, and Shubhendu's guide in his tryst with lying. Shukla, who has cast himself as a know-all Bollywood producer in this film does a great job, too. All should watch the movie,its really nice.Especially watch it with your friends,i am sure you all will enjoy it as i did.So guys what are you waiting for,buy a DVD or download it from internet.

Worth watching

The movie is really nice and contain lot of funny moments which i had enjoyed a lot.The movie based on the character by Rajat kapoor is an out and out comedy where he falls for a 24 years old lady.I M 24 is about how he goes on to tell series of lies to impress her.Gagandeep, played by Ranvir Shorey is superb in the film and helps Shubendu in his quest of impressing the girl.This is one of the best performance given by Ranvir Shorey in his career till now.Not only Ranvir Shorey but all the other actors,.Neha Dhupia,Manjari and Rajat Kapoor,are also very good and done their job brilliantly.This movie is all about truth and lies and the rest is really worth watching.

Entertaining and a national award winning movie

Spirited performance by two seasoned and mature actors (Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shourie) which make the movie more entertaining and a national award winning.I Am 24 is a movie of a 42 year old guy who always face failure due to his truth speaking nature.One day,he started liking a girl who is half of his age near about 24 years.The person helps him to lie was his room mate Gagan played by Ranvir Shorey who used to lie all the time as for him,The movie might not be a huge budget film starring superstars but the fact is it is far far better than many of the huge hits of Bollywood.A movie that is something different and something that guarantees of many funny moments, good dialogs and some one liners that you wont find it anywhere else.

Good Comedy movie

Arindam Chaudhuri came up with comedy,and is really nice.In the past,he has made good movies such as Do Dooni Char,The Last Lear and many more.First time he came up with comedy and for me,the movie is excellent.I was waiting from a long time for such a good movie,and again Arindam Chaudhuri's Planman production gave us a very good movie. Apart from comedy,the cast has also done a good job.I am a big fan of Ranvir Shorey and have seen all his movies and this is his one of the best movie in his carrier.I have seen Rajat Kapoor in comic movie and he is Excellent in his role.Other actors Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis are also good.All the people who really want to see a very good comic movie must see this movie.

The storyline of the movie is different from other bollywood stories.The story starts with a 42 year old man who fails to make his carrier but one day falls for a much younger girl and in the quest to win her heart tells too many lies.Rajat kapoor plays the role of 42 year old guy and fantastic in his character.I m 24 is a simple and different story narrated excellently by Saurabh Shukla. Apart from storyline,all the cast of i m 24 has done a great job.Especially Ranvir Shorey is Excellent in his character.Its a treat to watch both great actors,Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shorey,together.All must watch the film at least once.

The director Saurabh Shukla succeed to create good storyline and good impact on viewers with the film I Am 24.It is the movie of a 42 years old man who falls in love with a very young girl. The lead role of the 42 years man,Shubendu is played by Rajat Kapoor.Manjari Fadnis plays the role of the young girl named Kanika. I M 24 has all elements of a good funny movie.The trailer of the movie shows the brilliance of the actors and after watching the movie,you will realize,now a days,all movies are not same,some movies came differently with unique subject and if we talks about Arindam Chaudhuri,he is excellent in all his work.Added to all this the superb performance by Rajat Kapoor and Ranvir Shorey.

Great idea. When was the last time we had a leading man with these qualifications? But the execution is flat and stretched and underlined. This is a bunch of actors whom I usually enjoy, and because they have close off-screen linkages, their on-screen play is smooth and always watchable because they are good at what they do. Apart from the middle-aged, young-girl relationship tango, 'I M 24' takes you into the familiar world of Bollywood's corpulent producers ( Shukla) and the hangers-on ( Dubey) and the ever-hopefuls ( Dhupia and Raaz). You fiddle with your thumb and watch the actors,They are a small-budget movie genre of their own. I've lost count of the number of films I've seen them together in. Clearly it's a great way for friends to hang out, have a good time...

The story is based on a guy who is near 40 years and starts liking a girl who is near 24 years,almost half of his age and to impress her he used to lie.They used to chat on internet and don't have any source to find the truth about each other.The girl see perfect man in him as she wants a guy who is stable,successful,handsome.But at the end,as in every movie,truth wins.The way actors especially Ranvir Shorey does his character was just mind blowing.In whole movie,the scene stealer was Ranvir Shorey.I really like his comic timing,the way he presents his character.Apart from him,Rajat kapoor was also very nice in the movie and i really appreciate his work in the movie.

You will not understand by reading the reviews about the movie,you have to watch it by yourself.The movie is mind blowing and nobody should miss it."I M 24" has some sparkling moments of reflected glory, as a bald and bland writer Rajat Kapoor takes lessons in spunky living.

The role of Shubendu,a 42years old man has been excellently played by Rajat Kapoor,who is an honest guy throughout his life until he meets Manjari.He is very well supported by Gagan,played by Ranveer who helps Shubendu to win over the young girl's heart.All this tricks and tips involves lot of lies and who better than Gagan to guide Shubendu.Excellent movie.

This is a comedy film that revolves around Rajat Kapoor's character,Shubendu. Shubnedu is a funny character and provided lots of fun and humor throughout the film.Another interesting and a very important role was of Gagandeep by Ranvir Shorey. Ranvir Shorey is a talented actor and never fails in making his audience laugh.He just did that in I M 24. The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis in the lead role but when it comes to holding the entire film together,it has to be Ranvir and Rajat.Both are awesome in their characters.Great work by writer and director Saurabh Shukla.The songs of the film are really good. I really liked do lafzo ki.It is a very melodious and beautiful song.The film over all is an out romantic comedy that does not fail to do what it was meant to do: entertain the audience.

Interesting title same as the movie

When i heard about the movie,i find the title very interesting and due to its interesting title i have seen this movie.As the title interesting,same as the movie.The best job done in the movie was Ranvir Shorey.He may not be a huge star like Salman Khan but surely a great actor and great entertainer.He has done other type of serious roles in other movies,but i like him in comic roles.Ranvir Shorey is one of the finest comic actors in industry and he is one of my favorite actor.Apart from Ranvir Shorey,Rajat Kapoor is also good in the movie and done an excellent job.Both the other actors Manjari Fadnis and Neha Dhupia are also good.

I M 24 is an out an out comedy.Enjoyed watching every scene of he film.I am a movie lover and enjoy every type of movie.Hats off to Ranveer Shorey and Rajat Kapoor for the kind of performances that they have given in the film.Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis have also contributed very well to the film.The songs are really good specially "Do lafzon ki hai",one of my all time favourite track all with a new feel. Saurabh Shukla is the director of this romantic comedy and who else better than him can bring out the best in his actors.I must say Rajat as Shubendu and Ranveer as Gagandeep have played their part in a tremendous manner.It is a great entertainment and at the moment,Bollywood does not have a film better than this for this year.Hope to see such good comedy films more and more.
