Save your time here folks.

I'm not sure if these reviewers are shills or just unaware of how bad this movie really is. The writing is so bad that I almost thought they were writing this as a spoof. The acting is So bad that it makes my Jr. High role as The Scarecrow look like an academy award nominee.

Uhhmmm... Okay...

Warning: Spoilers
I knew going in that this was going to be a zero budget indie Bigfoot flick. No surprises there. I didn't have a problem that. The mediocre acting didn't much bother me, either. You aren't going to get Meryl Streep or Gene Hackman for a production at this level. What bothered me was the idiotic premise of the movie.

The United States Government has become aware that a killer Sasquatch is lurking in a certain section of the forest in Northern Georgia, and will spare neither measure nor expense to keep this from becoming public knowledge. One character asks one of the agents assigned to this case to apologize to Bigfoot for him, for not respecting the forest, as he should have.

Then, there's my favorite part of the movie. Whenever the hero is driving around in his SUV, the same idiotic performer is on the radio, screeching about drinking gravy through a straw and sucking up the lumps in one memorable ditty, and running away from "the Hogback" in another.

We have opposing forces on a collision course. There's the government agency tasked with keeping the killer Bigfoot a secret. There's the hero, Dante, a retired border patrol agent asked by his father in law to check the woods on his property because of mysterious goings-on. Then there's Kurt, the dedicated, crusading, intrepid Bigfoot Investigator who forms a friendly association with Dante.

Then there's Lance, the friendly Intelligence agent whose mother believes works for the IRS, but who actually works for the agency trying to keep the killer Bigfoot a secret. He gives Dante a friendly warning to stay away from restricted areas of the forest, because the government agency has its eye on him. This movie takes implausible, stacks that on top of stupid, and layers a healthy dollop of ridiculousness on top for good measure.

Of course, Dante is going to ignore Lance's friendly warning, and heads off into the woods to investigate the possibility of a killer Bigfoot anyway. Y'see, Lance, who works for the secret government agency trying to keep the killer Bigfoot a secret, basically confirmed to Dante that the creature actually exists. So much for keeping the secret of the killer Bigfoot secret.

Still interested in watching this mess? If you are, seek psychiatric help immediately. The scenery is beautiful; everything else about the movie sucks like a nymphomaniacal hooker at a Viagra convention.

Crap acting

The scenes are shot like something from a computer game. Everything is just so clear and crisp and unreal. Doesn't feel like a real movie. I watched it though for something to do

Where did they get these actor?

I have never watched a movie with so many bad actors in one flick. Maybe they were all selected so they could practice their skills. Despite this I still watch since I enjoy horror movies.

Poor acting, terrible story, and not enough Bigfoot
Hayden-8605524 April 2024
I really hated this film, I found it funny how poor it was but apart from that it didn't have anything redeeming. The protagonist was dull, not particularly likable owing to the fact he had zero character and his lack of chemistry with his wife was daunting.

My biggest critique was the jumbled plot, extreme lack of Bigfoot scenes, the lack of scares and terrible characters. For example, the three main agents meet up with an analytical agent, offer her no information, she offers them none and then they all leave. Why did this meeting happen at a "secret location" (where they all wear black suits and glasses and stick out like sore thumbs) I don't know, but it did. Also, why did the agents at the end break into Dante's parents in law's house and then suddenly do a 180 at the end and shoot at the rogue agent, it was all ridiculous. The director takes himself far too seriously for the tripe he keeps putting out, and the 10 star reviews on IMDB all seem to be from family and friends most likely.

2/10: Apart from some decent natural cinematography there is not much to look forward to here.

Not your Average BF Flick
ciptjames3 January 2021
A word consistently comes to mind when I watch this movie: restraint. Don't get me wrong-- I really enjoy the story, I think the acting and editing are great. But I have seen enough monster flicks in which the filmmaker just can't resist overselling and gratuitously showing their creature, which usually turns out to be embarrassing and distracting. Chris is a meticulous and thoughtful filmmaker who used the creature as a setpiece for a story that goes far beyond a simple humans vs monster saga. I LOVE the message about respecting nature, and humans remembering their place in it. I thought Dante was a believable, humble character, and it was refreshing to have a leading man with a heavy past, who wasn't the trendy miserable anti-hero. And-- when you DO see the monster-- he's pretty rad. 😊 Highly recommend.

Worthy effort.

Chris Simoes creates a great mood with this Flick. I've watched several thousand "Bigfoot" low budget movies and this is one I actually watched through till the end. The director is successful at keeping your interest ( I'm a Bigfoot enthusiast so I watch this kinda stuff all the time). The Creature is not too ' in your face' but you get the idea from short shots here and there that he ain't something to mess with. The photography is spot on and makes me want to go to explore Georgia and it's untamed beauty. I love the final ending shot and the line spoken by Dante's wife. Thanks Chris Simoes for making a watchable BF Flick. Cheers !! 👍

Surprisingly enjoyed this
m_lotsberg26 April 2024
If you are into this subject...you can tell the creators have some knowledge, or did their research. I am not going to critique the acting etc., like others...but rather I am mainly rating this because I enjoyed it ... and was a kind of cool storyline. I basically just started it and it held my attention throughout. I have watched quite a few videos etc., on the subject of Sasquatch, because I find it fascinating...and this was one of the ones I actually enjoyed. Worth the watch if you are into this kind of thing...maybe not so much if you are just looking for another thriller to watch...though you may still enjoy it.

Beautifully shot in Georgia's forest
karluwes6 January 2021
A very well-made film throughout, a convincing cast, and a superb performance by Chris Simeos. I loved the tranquility of the film. It moves forward at a nice pace, and Dante's backstory adds depth to it - a great saga film that keeps you hooked in suspense.

Fantastic

Bigfoot: The Conspiracy was able to grab my attention. The suspence kept me in my seat until the end. After watching the whole movie, it left me wanting more. I have a lot of questions that maybe a sequel could answer. Great job to the director.
