A pleasant murder investigation.

A story with three elements: the castle of Amboise and the stay of Leonardo de Vinci in Amboise, then the relationships between Alban and his father Charles and between Berenice and her mother Nicole and finally the murder investigation it self.

The scenes filmed in the castle are nice and I enjoyed the references to Leonardo da Vinci who lived in the "Château du Clos Lucé, died in 1519 in Amboise and wasburied in the Chapelof Saint Hubert (built in 1493).

An interesting murder investigation: the portraits of Leo , the brother of Amaury, of Louis the father of Amaury and Léo, then comes a gambling debt story involving Christian Subaret, a mysterious payment made by Charles Dutertre (the father of Alban), then the quarrel of Sébastien Morand with the the Courcel family (Sébastien has a strong alibi): so finally the investigation goes towards a missing person.

I enjoyed the performances of Philippe Bas, Pauline Bression, Edouard Montoute, François-Eric Gendron, Jean-Marie Winling, Lucia Passaniti, Oliver Chantreau, Agathe de la Boulaye , Laurent Seron-Keller and Clément Bertani.

Four families. Secrets, relations, Leonardo da Vinci and a murder. Shadows of past and efforts to fix old mistakes. And two Vitruvian men.

Amboise and its castle as frame for events, a bit of The name of rose by Umberto Eco and a very good team discovering the painful truth.

For me, two good points ( not including the castle ) - Agathe de La Boulaye in the role of mother of Berenice and Jean - Marie Winling as the father of Alban.

In short, a good story and nice acting,Philippe Bas remembering to me the old silhouette of cowboy and. Pauline bression, more than decent as Berenice, the guiltzy of child about old mistake and the good new start in career.

In short, an episode about family, just well crafted one.
