The characters are all named after streets in the director's neighborhood.
The directors son, Cale, appeared as Theresa's son.
The restaurant used in the assassination scene of Mr. Ambrose is a TGI Fridays. The crew altered the decoration after the restaurant closed for the night and shot the scene well into the early morning hours. The stars on the glass where the waitress hides is prominent in all TGI Fridays restaurants.
The scene at the end featuring a conversation between Katherine and the District Attorney was supposed to be shot in a police station. Proving to be the hardest location to acquire of the entire film, it was changed to the DA's office and shot in a residence, not a high-rise as portrayed in the film.
The producers wanted to enter the film into AFI Dallas but the film's edited content with credits came to 45 minutes. AFI requires a minimum feature length of 60. With just 2 weeks left to the final deadline, 4 scenes were written, shot, edited, and inserted into the final product. This brought the film to 53 minutes (the final length). But for AFI, a special version was made with extended credits - bringing the AFI version to 60 minutes. The film was submitted with just hours to spare.
