What garbage!!!
wrf-56 May 2009
I entered this film hoping for a new angle on the destruction of the planet and all I got was a Biblical interpretation of the end of life as we know it. I don't mind the Biblical references, but when that's all I see, then I feel hoodwinked. Just another attempt to rope everyone in (with special effects) to the prophecies of the Bible. I'm not a religious person, but I am very open to ideas, but this visual aberration is insulting. What puzzles me is how religious zealots can use current tragedies as examples, completely forgetting similar examples like the Spanish Flu from nearly a hundred years ago, as possible examples of the end of times. It's like 9/11 is the epitome of terrorist acts when there have been so many more in the past. This is garbage and should not be taken as anything more than propaganda.

Idiotic fear mongering...
lasapurdir29 October 2009
Worst movie I ever saw.

Ever.

Make believe theories suddenly become "facts". Same "facts" suddenly become solid evidence of imminent Armageddon. It WILL happen. It is just a matter of time. World will be destroyed. Not once. Many times over, just to make sure that all filthy atheists get what they got coming! Serves them right!

Interesting fact revealed in this cinematic masterpiece: "In third world countries so many people live on only one square meter"?

Some movie makers really see their audience as complete morons. Surely there must be better ways to promote sick ideas of, obedience, blind fate and fear than this sort of garbage?

This is NOT a documentary...

This is a shameful, fictional account of the end of times according to Christian theology and there is nothing "simple" or "unbiased" about this film. Rather than debate the argument fairly, the focus was clearly more concerned with epic and emotionally toned music, narration, and effects as opposed to offering a range of perspectives based on all of the facts for the viewer to decide.

The facts used as support to the film were manipulatively reported to be misleading, edited simply to support the obvious intention of the director and/or his producers. The main speakers of the film were theologians and authors of Christian fiction. I could not even make it to the end but up to halfway through the film there was no counter argument offered.

This film is fear mongering, trash-propaganda.

Since the beginning of recorded history we have had apocalyptic disasters of far greater proportion than anything we are in immediate danger from in our foreseeable future. Because our population is growing exponentially, no doubt there will be many more on even more grand a scale. One other thing however will always be true: Religious zealots and politicians alike, use these opportunities to extend or exert control of autocratic bodies all over the world since day one. It is quit easy to find unbiased information on these topics, oldest tricks in the book and they still work today...Wise up already.

SPOILER: Does not ridicule religion!!!
too_bookoo16 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Please, do not watch this program if you cannot stomach references to Biblical symbolism that do not involve bashing religion. Mass media has something for everyone, and if it's not for you then go in peace - quietly.

For non-theophobes, Seven Signs was a delightful rendering of Apocalypse symbolism in terms of modern knowledge of natural disasters, man-made disasters, ecological disasters, and cosmological disasters. You'll note that the title's very clear and unambiguous reference to the Apocalypse of Revelation is in fact borne out through the program - each of the signs listed in Revelation gets its own segment, lovingly rendered in full high-resolution doom.

Apparently some are threatened by any reference to religion, and feel compelled to rant about it lest they be proselytized. To the radical theophobe, a simple unbiased work becomes a hated attempt to convert them and turn them into mindless sheep. As stated above, if any reference to religion "offends" you then by all means turn the channel.

SSotA gives cinematic life to each of the signs of the Apocalypse, and shows how they "could" happen. The end of the world not only could happen - it *will*. somehow.

The ultimate premise of SSotA is that Revelation describes a specific *sequence* of cataclysms. That "the world will end" is undeniable - but for it to play out exactly as prophesied would (will) indeed provide a compelling and undeniable proof of God's existence.

First sign of the apocalypse is is this horrible waste of time movie.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie will surely bring about the end of days. Obviously someone is skewing the vote on IMDb as no sane person would give this more than 2 stars. I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing as I was pretty sure it was giving me brain damage. I don't think I will ever be able to get another erection ever again. I am seriously thinking about suing the producers for making me sterile. I actually am on the verge of dropping a kidney stone just thinking about this movie. Go watch Spider-man instead as it is more historically relevant. I checked "Contains spoiler" because obviously the intent was to trick people into watching this worthless waste of time, and I'll surely be spoiling that for someone if they read this review. I don't understand how this work of obvious fiction is being pushed of as a documentary. This is worse than the slanted one sided garbage that the liberal douche Michael Moore tries to pass off as "fact". If you have nothing better to do than stare into the sun for a few hours, keep doing it as it would be preferable to watching this movie.

Seven Signs of the Apocalyspe

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this documentary I have just viewed on the History Channel during Dooms Day Sunday.

The Title Seven Signs is obvious Biblical prophecies and Revelations will be part of the documentary, but what makes this documentary interesting is the date of it's release and the sign of the Pale Horse they get into detail about. The date of production and release could not have predicted the outcome of 2009.

Those who are to afraid to accept future predictions, the present day events and the book of Revelations of the inevitable shouldn't watch this, but those who can take the fear for what it is, will be glued to your t.v. hanging on every word and find yourself at Google finding your own answers.

I think this is something that every person should watch and prepare for, the end will come, it's just a matter of when and what you will do when it happens

Be Informed Before Watching

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is seriously misguiding. For instance, I have studied theology / scripture, and it's a good thing to know, that white means purity, it is all over in Revelations with the people of God, for example, Rev. 19:14 The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. It is terribly naive to think just because the white horse is there at the start of the others, ( that are clearly bad horses), it too has to be bad. As it says in Rev. 19:15 - " the Messiah will tread the wine of the wine pres of the tribulation " hence the Messiah comes first, then the calamities. Also know that the Messiah does not have to do with the calamities just because he is there. There are people who could do such bad things, because the see him coming. As for calling a peacemaker bad, it is obvious who would do that, someone who wants it all for themselves, hence no world unifying peace, just their singular ruling existence.
