Sex & Nudity

  • Dahmer brings back people to his home and starts kissing them, but sex isn't shown.
  • Almost everything is implied and offscreen.
  • Dahmer is seen at bathhouses with men. As he is walking through the establishment some full frontal nudity is shown.
  • Dahmer takes many pictures of his male victims wearing underwear.
  • Lots of disturbing sexual undertones, but sex scenes are absent.
  • Dahmer tries to lure children and men to his apartment to have sex with them. He even tells a kid that he won't tell anyone many times.
  • Dahmer checks himself out in a mirror and pulls his pants down low. However no male nudity is ever exposed.
  • Dahmer masturbates to pictures of women and then he starts thinking about killing something.
  • Strong sexual content, dialogue, and references. There are no prolonged sex scenes; most acts are insinuated, and many are implied. However, the depraved nature corresponding with the disturbing scenes tied with violence make the content more disturbing. Dahmer is implied to have sex with severed body parts and/or dead bodies, although it isn't explicitly shown.
  • Jeffrey Dahmer gets put in jail for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy. He also cuts off someone's head and has sexual relations with it.
  • Dahmer pulls his pants down exposing some pubic hair, and he later spanks himself. He also pulls his pants down and masturbates in front of many kids and adults at a carnival. His bare butt is seen clearly as well as hand motions.
  • Lots of scenes in gay clubs and bars from where Dahmer brings back many men to his apartment. Some brief rear nudity is seen.
  • Dahmer masturbates in his bedroom looking at pornography magazines. He can't get aroused so he starts thinks of killing an animal and then he ejaculates. This lasts a couple of minutes, but only hand movements are shown.
  • Dahmer forces a man to get in sexual positions to take pictures of him at knifepoint while he is in his underwear. Later, other pictures are shown with him and his other victims and partial nudity can be seen very quickly.
  • Full frontal male nudity for about 3 seconds
  • Characters are shown nude from the back. Sexual violence is the crux of the series.

Violence & Gore

  • One scene has Dahmer taking blood at his job; he is then seen drinking the blood pack and it covers his face and chest in blood as he downs it.
  • Dahmer is seen dissecting dead animals.
  • Dahmer dismembers someone in his grandma's basement. You mostly see blood, and Dahmer cutting, but nothing too graphic.
  • The police find a decapitated head in Dahmer's refrigerator.
  • Dahmer cuts the head of a victim in his grandma's house, and is seen kissing it.
  • Limbs are seen in acid tubs with flesh burned off.
  • A scene of Dahmer cooking and eating his victim.
  • Has scenes of intense violence, gore, blood, and torture. The violence is more like Hitchcock's style with most of it offscreen; not all of Dahmer's actions are depicted as graphic as the subject matter could have allowed. A fair amount of restraint is used, that said, the series is fairly violent and disturbing.
  • Frequent footage of disturbing murders and aftermath, including vats of decomposed bodies, drilling into skulls and other body parts. Guns and knives are also present. Sexual violence was Dahmer's MO. Expect storylines around cannibalism and necrophilia.

Profanity

  • Constant swearing, mostly from Dahmer and his mother.
  • Gay slurs are sometimes used.
  • Dahmer is called names when prisoners find out what crimes he did involving children.
  • Moderate strong language throughout. Many four-letter words, as well as ethnic and homophobic slurs.
  • 121 uses of "fuck", 22 uses of "shit", 15 uses of "hell", 20 uses of "damn", 13 uses of "damn", and other profanity

  • Frequent scenes of night club drinking.
  • Dahmer is always drunk or intoxicated. He is often pulled over by the police, or people take notice of his beer cans or his behaviour due to his addiction.
  • Many scenes of Dahmer putting drugs in alcohol to put his victims to sleep.
  • Substances are used throughout. The main character is an alcoholic and it is implied his mother had an addiction to prescription drugs. Dahmer drinks often. People smoke cigarettes.
  • Dahmer was an alcoholic who primarily drank beer; his home is strewn with beer cans. He also plies underage victims with alcohol.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Insanely dark, might be upsetting to sensitive viewers.
  • Dahmer screams at his grandmother when she takes away a store mannequin he kept in his bed. Very intense scene as his grandmother is terrified.
  • An oppossum is shown with a hole in its head. Other dead animals appear onscreen. May upset animal lovers with the way Dahmer loves to dissect them for his personal needs.
  • This is a highly disturbing show that recounts Dahmer's murders, and the times he got away with murder. Very intense to watch given what he does with corpses and to minors.
  • All the scenes with his victims will be intense, as he goes from nice, to then trying to make them stay with him, to then murdering them.
  • The show is gruesome but far tamer compared to Ryan Murphy's other work, but the show is disturbing because the murders in the show are the way they happened in real life with Jeffery Dahmer.
  • This series is not for children. Very disturbing topics.
  • Some scenes that shouldn't be watched when eating (Cannabalism)
  • Show is based on a true story
