When Dealing With Gods...
kurtisjvandermolen2 February 2023
When dealing with Gods... you may not be able to comprehend everything. But the dialogue is fascinating and well-rooted in its craft. The interplay is visually stimulating and exciting. The Love theme at the climax will probably require some Google research unless you are well-versed in Greek mythology. But once you know, it works. Just as the gods are compelled to manifest their beings, Hermes being knowledge, you may be incited to watch this more than once to gain the subtle clues along the way to its cosmic finish. But even if you have a technical or thematic nuance this serves as a splinter, this is a smart and pioneering film that will reach cult status.

A beautiful philosophical movie

I enjoyed the philosophy of the movie, it's an art movie dressed with VFX. My favorite scene was between Athena and Apollo, where they detailed the limitations of being a God. If you love philosophical dialogue and questions about genesis, this movie is for you. I enjoyed the flow of the feature. What I loved the most about the movie was, it had a fresh take on the genre, in its own way, you could almost give it its own genre. They style was very intriguing, the VFX at times was a distraction, but I understood the necessity for it. The best thing about the movie is, when the movie is over and you watch the extra footage after the end credits, you find yourself still thinking about the message, about what the movie was about. I definitely recommend the movie.
