- A young man walks purposefully through a small town in Florida. Passing the train tracks. He's troubled, looks angry. He kicks the stones and walks. Fearless, and on a mission.
Will Fishborne, (Luke Flynn) strides forward into a nearby office building. He shoves past the receptionist, she calls security. He bursts in the door of Jake Sums office, (Matt Orr). Will needs his car and Jake refuses, "Not until I get my money man...." A few days pass. Will now at the bowling alley. His fifth grade crush Kat, (Rachel Warner) works there too, and her family owns the establishment. Together, they find a renewed interest in each other. They share a special hobby as well, they both like to meditate. They dive deeper, into different states of consciousness together. Later, the two are sitting in a forest surrounded by trees. They are meditating. Minutes pass. We find we are in a darkened, blue hued, classroom. It does not seem like an earthly classroom either. There's a movie playing. Suddenly we watch as Kat's real life dramas unfold, she is only five years old. Transfixed, watching the real life dramas unfold. It's an actual movie. They are absorbed, and it feels so real. They're all having a lucid dream. The teacher informs them to keep this specific lesson 'in mind', while watching their own personal experiences play out in a similar way. "This is the human experience." The teacher explains. This is school. Out of the classroom and back to mundane life. Kat searches for meaning in her painfully sedate life. Her only real outlet, is painting and her new found love of Will Fishborne. Basically, her life now consists of going to the library, books and anything Will Fishborne. Her friends notice her odd behavior and start giving her love advice. Her bestee Kelli, (Erin Muroski) shows up at the library. She's 100% sure her fate is written on her hands as she reads Kat's palm. She explains, her love line indicates a deeply unfulfilled life. And, if she doesn't change her ways, it could take an ominous turn. Finally, she works up the nerve to flirt with Will when he proposes she give him a ride to Miami. It's perfect. They can vacay and share expenses! Explaining, he just needs to meet with a dude so he can collect on some cash. A master plan is laid, to leave town the following week. Will Fishborne comes from money, though he refuses to use it. He's not spoken to his family in over ten years. For most of his life, he has been on the path to enlightenment, and through his travels as a model, he has studied with many great meditation masters. Finally, the day they are supposed to leave Will becomes a no show for the trip. Kat is driving her pot head brother's car too, which is an added complication. DejaVu. Like it's already happened. Kat drives searching for Will again, hitchhiking like he said he'd be. Still, no sign of him! What appears to be the next day, she sees Will hitchhiking. While stopping for gas, they realize neither one of them has money for food. Will pulls off the main road to wait for the cops to pass. As the trip unfolds as they end up, lost in the woods, and stuck on a beach. They are back on the road driving. Later, some time has passed, and they are back to their mundane lives and haven't seen each other in months. Kat has a gallery show for her artwork. Will said he'd be there, still no sign. Then, at the end of the night she catches a glimpse of him. She heads outside, and down the street. "What is happening?" She asks, "Is this part of the game?" "Do you think you're enlightened?" "Is this a lucid dream?" He says, "Maybe it is." "I don't want to hurt you." It appears to be another day. Together they are on the road driving. He asks her, "Do you know where you're going? She answers, "No, not really." He just laughs at the irony, as they drive down the road ahead of them, not sure exactly where To. "Is this a lucid dream?"
